I got more than a few things from these studies, aside from the intended view that conservatives are more “fearful” and “disgusted” and afraid of new experiences.

Conservatives like order, and cleanliness, realize the world is not a safe place and other people can be dangerous, and that technology and inanimate objects are just that: things and tools. Conservatives value independence and autonomy, and are less willing to sell out for something immoral. Conservatives react strongly to negative stimuli, but seek to understand and prioritize a threat. When it comes to dividing and sharing it’s done by who has contributed and merits the most.

Liberals are supposedly more happy and open minded, don’t focus on threats or see bad things in people, and instead see technology and inanimate objects as threats. They also go along more with doing what they’re told, have a price tag on if they’ll do something immoral, and will change their tune or sell out when the need arises. They learn from positive experiences and believe in equality for everyone regardless of what they’ve contributed.

So, the image is is supposed to be liberals are more outgoing and positive, but what I got is they live life for their own interests and doing as they please, don’t see a bad arising in people but in objects, and that they should get equal value from a group even if they would sell it out in a heartbeat.

Interesting, no? And which group is better suited for society to survive?

Obama sends 400 US troops to front line in Syria.

The Washington Post: U.S. troops will man Patriot batteries along Turkey’s border with Syria

    By Ernesto Londoño – Dec 14, 2012

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, TURKEY — The United States authorized on Friday the deployment of 400 troops for two Patriot missile-defense batteries along Turkey’s border with Syria, a move that could put American forces near the front lines of the Arab country’s escalating civil war.

“This is a challenging time, a critical time,” Panetta said. “You are in a critical place doing a critical task.”

Panetta said “it is a matter of time” before the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is toppled.

The United States, he said, is providing nonlethal aid to certain factions of the opposition, hoping to bolster responsible new leaders.

I guess that’s like Obama sending U.S. soldiers in Libya to fuel planes with bombs without Congresses permission .

Congress has been very busy passing a new law that television commercials can not increase volume more than 2 decimals.

AP: Hillary Clinton to miss Benghazi hearings after fainting, concussion, officials say

    Dec 15, 2012

The State Department says Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, who skipped an overseas trip this past week because of a stomach virus, sustained a concussion after fainting.

WASHINGTON – Clinton was diagnosed with a concussion Thursday after fainting at home earlier this week, according to a State Department official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss Clinton’s injury publicly.

The House Foreign Affairs Committee also said Clinton would no longer give scheduled testimony at its hearing Thursday on Libya.

Senior State Department officials William Burns and Thomas Nides are to take Clinton’s place at both hearings.
