Hey Proreason! Now you know that it’s downright insensitive to criticize da way peoples be talkin wif dey frinz! Let me say that as a business owner I have a real hard time finding anyone under age 21 that can communicate even the most simple ideas and concepts with customers or each other. They all KNOW everything as well, and become flustered and angry when any attempt is made to teach or correct. It’s eerie, but I swear the schools are teaching them to think stupidly on purpose! Add to that the respect given to “street language,” and you have a real mess on you’re hands…

The problem with being a court reporter for somebody needing a “hand-up” is that it requires an understanding of the kings’ english, since that’s what the lawyers and judges speak.

Maybe the “G” trained court reporters can specialize in caturing the defendant’s english, or whatever.

Good point, Banned. Even if these comments were really sent in, they’ve been re-written (re-crafted) into a single voice. You can read the letters to the Editor section of any paper and see the disparity in syntax, lexicon, et al., that is missing from these testimonials.

One of the Obamabots says she is a “free-lance court reporter,” and “her phone hasn’t been ringing in a while.” Let me give you the translation… Her fancy sounding job is the product of some gov’t funded “educational” program. The G stepped in to helps the peoples with funded training for an exciting career in the “legal field.” She picked that particular position because it involves a lot of sitting, and she knows a lot about the court system, having never missed an episode of “Judge Judy.” The gov’t job counseler also explained that she was “uniquely qualified” for such a career, being that the program was only open to “under-educated” minorities. (Sorry recent College and High School grads looking for a good starter job, but you’re S.O.L.) She attended six weeks of classes at a local Community College, and received gov’t funded transportation vouchers to cover her cab fare to and from the site, and an additional gov’t funded payout to cover the childcare costs for her several children while she attended “classes.” After six weeks of rigorous training in the complex and demanding art of typing what other people say, she “graduated” at a publically funded special ceremony, where every member of the class was given a certificate and fancy ribbon for their educational accomplishment. A local city councilwoman was on hand to speechify about how the “G” was creating opportunity for the many “hard-working” neighborhood peoples who need a “hand-up” not a “hand out.” The local media was on hand too! With a stirring “public interest” piece about “unity in the community.” After “graduation” our faithful Obamabot was pushed out into the real world to find out that the “G” had trained over 150 peoples to be court reporters, in an area where about 30 or so individuals were aready filling all of the available positions. After a few months of waiting for her “phone to ring,” she re-applied for additional gov’t aid and spent the $35 that Obammy gave her (out of our pockets) on Malt Liquor and lottery tickets.

The language and syntax of the entries are too similar. They also have an amazingly consistent theme. Either these were hand picked entries to create an atmosphere of wonderment surrounding the munificence of the great giver, Obama, or they are a fabrication created by one person. If I had to hedge my bet, I would say that they are all written by the same person. Now whether it was one of the fanatical followers of the messiah or one of his lackeys we will never know. But there really isn’t much difference between the two groups; both have imbibed too much kool-aid.

I have a good friend who is in the remodeling business. He updates tony homes all over the Chicago area. As of this fall, he has not had any homes to remodel. He’s had to lay off his people and does not know where or how he’s to continue to make ends meet if he does not get some business soon.

I have been offered several jobs, but then get calls from these companies saying that that particular position is being placed on hold for a short while. . .I’m still waiting for some of them. The remainder I’ve given up on as after I call back the HR person for the 10 week in a row, am told that they are not going to fill that position and there are in fact no open positions there. And these are major fortune 500 companies who are actually making money. So I can really emphasize with you Odie. Companies are in a “zombie mode” where everyone is afraid to make or do anything.

I saw reports to our CEO (please don’t tell ‘em) and it’s basically as you describe. They don’t trust anything they read and don’t have a clue about what should be done. It’s my opinion that BHO is bad not only for small business, but all business. The pain is just must deeper for small business owners.
