S&L Reprise: A Jeremiah Wright ‘Jeremiad’
Many of the apologists for Barack Obama’s pastor Jeremiah Wright have claimed that his remarks have been “cherry picked” and taken out of context. (As if there could be any context that would mitigate some of his claims.)
So, as a public service, we will repost a YouTube clip of sermon of his, together with my transcription, that we first published more than a year ago.
Even though it is “joined in progress,” it is still one of the fuller examples we have of the reverend’s teachings:
God Has Got To Be Sick Of This Shit!
[Joined in progress] … Justice is ignored. When women are treated like, or are permitted by this society to be called publicly “bitches,” justice is ignored.
And on that note, on that note, let me paraphrase Dr. Anthony Campolo, one of the nation’s greatest preachers.
He said something to this effect.
Fact number one: we’ve got more black men in prison than there are in college.
Racism is alive and well. Racism is the American way.
Racism is how this country was founded, and how this country is still run.
No black man can ever be President. I don’t care how hard you run Jesse.
No black woman will ever be considered for anything outside of what she can give with her body.
Fact number three: America is still the number one killer in the world.
We invaded Grenada for no other reason than to get Maurice Bishop. We destroyed Panama because Noriega would no longer dance to our tune anymore.
We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns and the training professional killers.
We bombed Cambodia, Iraq and Nicaragua, killing women and children, while trying to turn public opinion against Castro and Qaddafi.
Fact number four: we put Mandela in prison and supported apartheid the whole 27 years he was there.
We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority. And believe it more than we believe in God.
Fact number five: we supported Zionism shamelessly while ignoring the Palestinians, and branding anybody who spoke out against it as being anti-Semitic.
Fact number six: we conducted radiation experiments on our own people. You’re just finding out about that. We care nothing about human life, if the end justifies the means.
Fact number seven: we do not care if poor black and brown children cannot read and kill each other senselessly. We abandoned the cities back in the sixties when the riots started, and it really doesn’t matter what those nnn… [niggers] “natives” do to each other.
We gave up on them and public education for poor people who live in the projects. We with VCRs, DVDs, CDs and portable phones have more homeless than any nation in the world.
Fact number eight: we started the AIDS virus, and now that it is out of control we still put more money in the military than in medicine. More money in hate than humanitarian concerns.
Everybody does not have access to health care. I don’t care what the rich white boys in the Senate say.
[Garbled] listen up. If you are poor black and elderly — forget it.
Fact number nine: we only able to maintain our level of living by making sure the Third World people live in grinding poverty.
Fact number ten: we are selfish, self-centered ego egotists, who are arrogant and ignorant.
We pray at church and do not try to make the kingdom that Jesus talked about a reality.
And, and, and… in light of these in fact God has got to be sick of this shit!
So much for context.
(jeremiad. [a. F. jérémiade (1762 in Hatz.-Darm.), f. Jérémie, L. Jeremias Jeremiah, in reference to the ‘Lamentations of Jeremiah’ in the Old Testament.] A lamentation; a writing or speech in a strain of grief or distress; a doleful complaint; a complaining tirade; a lugubrious effusion.)

Cherry picked my ass! Either Reverend Wright said these things or some talented fellow is doing one hell of an impression of a racist, honky hating, screaming blowhard all across the web. Which is it?

A 23 year relationship featured in Barack Hussein Obama’s book The Audacity of Hope which was named for exactly this sort of hateful “audacity”.
Sweetness & Light may be ‘the’ website that exposed a Messiah as a Marxist fraud.
Although I’m just a fringe blog, I’ve been linking S&L on this story since that fateful 1/25/2007 post, and I’m proud I reached a few dozen, who I hope came here and joined the thousands to finally… finally… finally… learn the truth.

Bless you, Dane, for your kind words. It has been a long row and a lot of hoeing, hasn’t it?
And of course your great site is no more fringey than S&L. Besides, exposing the truth can never be a fringe pursuit.
Or, rather, it shouldn’t ever be.

If you didn’t know this was Wright spouting off, you would swear you were listening to a race baiting poverty pimp like Sharptongue or Jackson or Yusuf Bey or Spaceship Louie or McKinney or Bond…..
Oh wait, my bad, you are listening to one…. ;o)

“taken out of context”
CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, [and FOX], etc., would love to put them into an exculpatory/mitigating context.
Hasn’t happened yet.

Every, so called, fact he spews, if it were true, can be blamed on the left. Worldwide Liberalism and everything we hate about it can be traced back to one point in history. All of it. Marxism/Communism/Facism/Socialism/Liberalism/Environmentalism/Evolution and many other murderous philosophies that begot Abortion & Planned Parenthood/The Final Solution/Global Warming/ Population Control and it all can be traced back to The Eugenics Movement. Google it. Or better yet Google video it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugenics
Prince Phillip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth and staunch believer, said “If I were reincarnated, I would wish to be returned to Earth as a killer virus to lower human population levels.”
Ted Turner pledged 1 Billion dollars to the UN for, you guessed it, population control.
Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and David Rockefeller also believe. As do most Anthropologists and Geneticists. It is the basis for almost all Social Engineering.
Also google Georgia Guidestones. I’ll bet you’ve never heard of this monument. Funny how it’s in Georgia, home of Ted Turner.
In my opinion this entire philosophy is Satanic!

Oh. I almost forgot. In case you think I’m just over-reacting, check this out.
Last year, Dr. Eric R. Pianka gave a speech to the Texas Academy of Science in which he advocated the need to exterminate 90% of the population through the airborne ebola virus.
From The Citizen Scientist
Forrest M. Mims III
How much more do we need to hear?
And then the Liberals at the Democratic Underground Defended him…of course.
Really? Didn’t he? These people are dangerous! Just guess who the %10 who get to live are. Liberal Elitist!
I know this is mostly way off topic, but I felt a need to inform those who may be falling for all the lefts lies and what they’re “real” intentions are. Those liberals who are not part of the %10 are just “Useful Idiots” to the elites anyway.

Which rant exactly was fact #2? The racist has about four “facts” between “fact” one and “fact” three, with no fact 2.
All of these “facts” are racist BS. There is no one living today that has been affected by slavery. If you work hard and put your mind to it, in the USA, there is nothing you cannot do. The problem with some people is “How ya gonna act”? Are you gonna act like you’re “owed” for things that happened 150 years ago? Are you “owed” a high paying job without getting the education needed? Are you “owed” specialy compensation? There is already special compensation for minoritys in hiring practices and promostions. To me, if you believe you are “owed” for these things, you are as much a “racist” as you accuse me of being.
This and Steve’s previous three posts just struck something with me. Jeremiah the racist sounds very much like Hitler, without the southern twang…except in this case it ain’t just the Jews, it’s all whiteys that are criminal, immoral, etc.
Yeah, that’s gotta be why there’s so many young blacks in prison, it’s because whitey has put them down… not because they were raised in homes where parents were never around and chose the easy way of crime rather than the hard life of working for a living or getting an education.
My best bud at work had his wife skip out on him about five years ago, leaving him with their five children. They are the most polite young men I have ever seen. Everything is please, thank you, and yes sir. Getting good grades, playing sports, etc. But Dad has taught them well. Actually, getting mom out of the the picture was a God send for them.
I shouldn’t have to say this, because it don’t really matter, but they are also an African-American family.

Nitpicker.

SG, what’s a nit?
At least I know now that someone notices my late posts….

SG, what’s a nit?
A nit is the egg of a louse, or, in the UK, nits refer to head lice.
Nitpicking refers to the tedious chore of removing said creatures from one’s hair.
I had to look this up a quarter of a century ago when I had a sergeant who used to refer to me as a “great, f**king, festering nit !”
(it was not a term of endearment)
