Telling, the things that Democrats refused to recycle at their oh-so-green convention.
Of course like those styrofoam columns, these flags were merely props in the first place.

This morning, Republicans tell me that a worker at Invesco Field in Denver saved thousands of unused flags from the Democratic National Convention that were headed for the garbage. Guerrilla campaigning. They will use these flags at their own event today in Colorado Springs with John McCain and Sarah Palin.
Before McCain speaks today, veterans will haul these garbage bags filled with flags out onto the stage — with dramatic effect, no doubt — and tell the story.
“What you see in the picture I sent you is less than half of total flags,” a Republican official emailed. “We estimate the total number to be around 12,000 small flags and one full size 3×5 flag.”
I’m not sure what the DNC was supposed to do with unused hand-flags, frankly. But the Republicans are obviously questioning someone’s patriotism here.
We can practically hear the McCain camp editing the footage for their next ad.

Admiral McCain scores a direct hit into the powder magazine of the HMS (his mullah’s ship) Obambi with his Sarah Palin torpedo. McBrilliant has fired up the base of his party and is showing daily that the dems are all hat and no cattle. (metaphor alert, but fun to take that one back)
The dems have 2500 people “working” on their campaign and they still can’t help looking like a college frat house with the keys to the corner liquor store.
Can’t wait for an Obama “come to Jesus” moment to get his stooges back in line. I can’t stop shaking my head on how dumb these guys are.

We should also keep in mind that (Republicans / McCain Staffers) cannot micromanage everything and everybody… and should something similar happen during our campaign (brain cramp from someone or even sabotage by an infiltrator) we’ll have to take it like we gave it.
And if History is any indication; when it comes to trivialities the Dem’s tend to give it (and make it stick as an issue) more than the Republicans can/have. We need to be wise and not get too haughty in our haste to assail them (Dem’s) via opportunities that we ourselves may be (are) susceptible to. Let’s wait for slip-up’s that create solid and safer attacking positions that in turn won’t leave us vulnerable.
I’m still wondering how all those Code-PINKS got in the building, along with almost getting right down to the convention floor to where McCain was?!

notsoyoungjim - After last Friday and the ensuing Palin Bashing - which Obama did nothing to really stop - I don’t think so. I’ve been reading articles that are pinning Obama for what he is a lightweight - who thought he could get by on a smile and a catchy phrase, a hater - pick one - women, fathers,race, class - you name it, he is consumed by anger (probably generated by 3 parents who were too self-involved to actually parent) and a real, live flake - he is just so inexperienced and lacks any depth of confidence - that he continually and repeatedly backs the wrong horse, picks the wrong choice, and then steps in it fully.
Besides - given Obama’s religious -ahem - history - I doubt he would ever have a ‘come to Jesus’ moment. And I think that he truly is too self-absorbed to have a secular moment of realizing, admitting and then adjusting - that he was wrong. . .

Just heard on Fox that Code-Pink had press credentials/passes passed on to them from the “media” (this is huge)
…So in they went impersonating the media and then disturbing the convention… and thank God they didn’t have an over the top loony in the bunch who may have wanted to make a bigger statement! (Get my drift)

Even my fifth grade students know that you do not ever throw a U. S. flag in the garbage. You find a way to recycle it or give it to the American Legion or the Vets to dispose of in a special ceremony.

These aren’t streams or bunting. These are American flags. McCain camp said they would place these flags on veterans’ graves if those attending the speech did not want to take them home.

These are your words from a post on another thread. Don’t be coming here boasting of something if you can’t provide your bonafides. Personally, I doubt if you’ve ever set foot in a Legion Hall or VFW Post, or you’d know to what uses those flags (yes, even paper ones) could be put. …..absolute lie. All security forces use fully loaded clips and/or magazines. Depending on their station the weapons will be loaded or not with said magazines, if it was Marine sentries, they would have had shotguns with all shells in but not one loaded in the breech.
Please stop telling people you were in the Navy. You embarrass us real sailors.
