Wright’s Latest Crude, Racist Comments
From the New York Post:
REV. STRIKES AGAIN
By GEOFF EARLE
September 1, 2008
TOLEDO, Ohio - The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama’s fiery ex-pastor, re-emerged yesterday with a crude reference about race and sex in the White House.
“This ordinary boy [Obama] just might be the first president in the history of the United States to have a black woman sleeping at 1600 Pennsylvania legally,” Wright said, referring to Michelle Obama, in a sermon at the Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston.
It was unclear whether Wright was making a reference to prostitution, to old miscegenation laws, or to the history of illicit interracial sex under slavery.
Wright’s remarks yesterday were full of praise for Obama - although several times, he referred to Obama as a “boy” who later developed into an extraordinary person, through God’s work and, presumably, Wright’s guidance.
“The lord turned the ordinary into the extraordinary. Y’all just saw it this past week. It was on national television,” Wright said to applause.
“An ordinary black boy raised in a single-parent home . . . walked into my office 20 years ago to talk about his dream for a community that concentrated on things that we could achieve in common.” …
What a blessing is Mr. Wright.
Mr. Obama sure can pick them.
“An ordinary black boy raised in a single-parent home…”
Note that Wright doesn’t even know Obama’s real history. He was not raised by his single mother, but by her grandparents.
But when has the “Reverend” ever let facts get in the way of a stem-winding sermon?

And the “single family home” Obama was raised in was a white home. It’s amazing to me how no one brings that up? How has Obama not been hit with the “Oreo” charge?

Reverend Wright is what’s wrong with America. He wants to point fingers at white America being a societal problem, when truly it is pastors (I use the term extremely loosely in this case) like himself that are taking the country down. As long as Christians continue to listen to “so-called” Christians and float whichever way the wind blows the nation under God as we now know it will not exist in 5 years. Christian churches that will promote a pro-abortion agenda and a gay marriage agenda are not preaching the Word of God and are, as far as God is concerned, DEAD. Jeremiah spews hatred from his pulpit as he preaches to Obama for over 20 years. If that sort of hatred was being promoted from the pulpit in our church it would take me about one Sunday to get enough of it. The fact is Obama does agree with the words of Wright and this makes him on all accounts, WRONG.
Evangelicals need to come back to earnest prayer for our nation and for the spirit of anitchrist that is in our world and nation today.

This story actually says, “It was unclear whether Wright was making a reference to prostitution, to old miscegenation laws, or to the history of illicit interracial sex under slavery.”
I have a thought. Who cares what he meant? He’s CRAZY! If anyone hasn’t figured that one out by now, you should seek the same professional help that Mr Wright so desperately needs.

Does anybody else look at the pic SG posted and not hear the Rev. Wright saying Booga Booga?

What he is reacting to is “SHOW ME YOUR HANDS” from the police who are arresting him for fraud and inciting racism.

He’s responding to a question . Someone asked him to use the word “before” in a sentence. He’s illustrating the answer with his hands while saying, “Two plus two be four”!
