BK,

I'm currently reading "A Slobbering Love Affair" about the newsmedia's shameless agenda for getting "The Black Stick" elected. I highly recommend it... It's a pretty good synopsis of how they act and the complete fabrication at times of "facts". Not to mention the complete ignoring of real information that the American people would find of use.

I have to laugh, though, because as much as they used to love to flame the former Soviet Union for not reporting on the truth, they, themselves are now intentionally manipulating data to make it look as if this administration is working toward a resounding success.

Last week, I heard, while flipping through the channels, several TV newsies spew forth that "the public believes the recession has finally bottomed out and prosperity is in the near future".

So now we're into that heavy, "we will say a thing is so...and it is so" which was the mantra of Soviet-style Russia. Only in this case, it's the newsmedia themselves actually trying to control things.

But like the author says, it will destroy any shred of credibility they ever had.

I don't buy the paper. I do not watch TV news of any kind. I am so thankful for the internet for, I hope, it will prove to be its most valuable in destroying the federal government in its current iteration and the people can best use the truth, which must forever remain pure.

At the same time, note that this is less than the number of Americans who show up in D.C. on any given weekend for the protest du semaine.

I don't think many of the grateful Iraqis with purple fingers were in that crowd.

But we have to remember another minor detail that will seldom or ever be mentioned in all of the media’s reports. Our shores have not been successfully attacked by the Muslim terrorists since 9/11. Not once.

And the war in Iraq, and the war on terrorism in general, is largely responsible for that. And that is something we cannot ever be allowed to forget

And we must never forget the pictures of Iraqis - young and old, male and female walking to vote and proudly holding up their purple finger afterward.

It was worth it as Saddam is dead - it should have happened in 1991 and yes, then these young men & women might not have lost their lives - not to mention that OBL & Co might have rethought their intentions way back when they were just intentions.

But hey, I'm just a stupid conservative person, what do I know? I'm not the TOTUS or anything really important and special.

I'm just happy that politics in Iraq are so much saner than what we have right now in the US.

Tens of thousands? Maybe two. When they have an agenda then you drop a zero. When they don't agree you still drop a zero.

They cover this but refuse to cover the tea parties across the U.S.???
