Why Gay Parents May Be the Best Parents
    Anti-Santorum News From Yahoo: http://news.yahoo.com/why-gay-.....02676.html

On Jan. 6, Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum told a New Hampshire audience that children are better off with a father in prison than being raised in a home with lesbian parents and no father at all.

That’s right. The biological father will eventually come back. With a lesbian couple, he will never come back.

Gay parents “tend to be more motivated, more committed than heterosexual parents on average, because they chose to be parents,” said Abbie Goldberg, a psychologist at Clark University in Massachusetts who researches gay and lesbian parenting.

Yes, ‘more motivated, more committed’ are NOT subjective facts, they can be measured, identified and graded just like chemicals on the periodic table. Don’t argue with PhDs, they know everything, and you don’t.

And while research indicates that kids of gay parents show few differences in achievement, mental health, social functioning and other measures, these kids may have the advantage of open-mindedness, tolerance and role models for equitable relationships, according to some research.

“..few differences in achievement, mental health, social functioning?” –Then how are gay parents the “best” parents?
“Open-mindedness, tolerance and role models for equitable relationships.”–What?! What is this pure bull$#!t? How do you guage all that in a child? ALL children are polly-annas!
“according to some research.” –You mean, the research you decided not to identify for investigative minds to follow-up on?

Here is Abbie Goldberg’s faculty website: http://www.clarku.edu/faculty/goldberg/
Read it carefully. It is a very pro-gay liberal woman commenting on a very pro-gay article. They didn’t have the guts contact someone with an opposing viewpoint, so much for hallowed “diversity.”

The timing when a new study just released telling homosexuals continue to still commit the most extremely violent murders, but after all some muslims and their sexual deviant butcher jobs on their loved ones in the name of love and jealousy…

I believe it would be difficult for homosexual and lesbian couples to not express their “no limit – anything goes” escapades not to ‘rub off or on to their children’.
At the very least is the task they have in talking to their children about the birds and the bees and how for the children (can’t be biologically their children) how to determine their own sexual identity.

It needs to be addressed, there can’t be hits and misses on this subject regarding innocent children.

    • heykev

This is the real result of having homosexual parents. If you don’t think postmodern, politically-correct gender politics is evil? You’re wrong: http://t.co/m0NWUXOL

    • The Redneck

That “some animals are gay” line has always irritated me.

Yes, some animals engage in homosexual behavior. Some animals engage in sex with different kinds of animals or inanimate objects. Some animals engage in sex as a form of dominance. Many animals have sex with animals that don’t want to have sex with them.

The fact that “animals do it” is not exactly a selling point, no matter how they try to translate that into “natural.”

    • Rusty Shackleford

“Gender affects what children wear and what they can play with, and that shapes the kind of person they become. “

Yes, exactly. Yet you have decided to ruin this child’s life by making him a lab experiment. He is no doubt, already very confused when amongst his peers. However, he may self-correct and eventually rebel against his dyke “parents”. They are not doing anything in the best interest of the child; They are doing everything in a self-righteous manner to validate their hypotheses. Like the AGW people who manipulate data to satisfy their theory. These two need to be locked up and who let them adopt a child to begin with?

I am deeply saddened for this child.

So Clark University is paying for Abbie Goldberg’s research (click on her research page) in which she will do her study via telephone interviews and questionnaire packets.

And the innocent with no voice or writing skills can’t protect their exploitation or have any privacy rights.

Wearing a dress didn’t stop me from wearing my little brothers western holster with pearl handle silver engraved guns. And I wrapped a satin blanket around me when I played movie star and used the fireplace for my runway. Best of all I liked pretending I was a horse. Oh, I miss those western movies.

    • Mithrandir

It always makes me laugh that gay people must resort to the animal kingdom to find some shred of normalcy.

      The:
      godless
      soulless
      moral-less
      ethical-less animal kingdom.

Most of us would like to believe we have CHOICES and do not run on INSTINCT –which is what separates us from eating our young, licking butts at random, digging up decayed animals and eating them, etc.
If gay people want to make the claim they are instinct-run, just like animals, and are ‘born that way’ then they should be treated like animals.

    * U.S. Terror Victims: Prosecute Palestinian Terrorists – Joanna Paraszczuk

The Parents Forum for Justice (PFJ), a group of U.S. citizens and parents whose children were murdered or maimed by Palestinian terrorists in Israel over the past decade, sent a letter to U.S. Attorney-General Eric Holder on Thursday asking him to prosecute the perpetrators of the bombings that harmed them and their families who were freed in Israel’s recent prisoner exchange with Hamas.
Under the 1991 Anti-Terror Act, the U.S. can prosecute foreign nationals who perpetrate terrorism against American citizens, even if those acts are not carried out on U.S. soil. “These laws were enacted to ensure that American citizens abroad had the protections of U.S. criminal law, wherever those Americans may be, including in Israel,” the PFJ letter said.
According to PFJ member and Jerusalem resident Alan Bauer, 83 American citizens were killed and 54 wounded in Palestinian terror attacks between 1993 and 2006. Several of the perpetrators were released as part of the Shalit deal. “We would like the U.S. authorities to arrest those terrorists released under the Shalit deal,” said Bauer. “We just want to see these terrorists back in jail.” (Jerusalem Post)

    * Hamas Attack on Gaza Shiites May Indicate Political Shift – Hugh Naylor

Hamas security forces – up to 100 policemen and masked men in civilian clothes – stormed an apartment building in Beit Lahiya in Gaza on Saturday where Shiite Muslims were gathered to commemorate the death of Imam Hussein, the Prophet Mohammed’s grandson. They dragging out 15 men, whom they then beat with truncheons and denounced as infidels. “The police showed everyone black Shiite headbands and were yelling to the crowds, ‘Look at these kafirs [unbelievers]!’,” said Yasser Ziada, 23. “It was like they were putting on a show for us, beating them in front of everyone.”

The armed forces own and run much of the food industry, including plants manufacturing olive oil, milk, bread and bottled water – all subsidized by the government. Reality is the muslim religious terrorists are on the rise in throughout the world to show their support for Iran; a religious fanatic country ran by a 2012er that Mohammad madman will come back this year; ready to burn the world and themselves as martyrs do. Iran’s Ahmadman will die a martyr if it means getting a seat next to Mohammad madman.

Are we to take China’s now appearing reluctant to continue importing oil from Iran seriously? Only if they get it through their heads that muslim extremists will turn around and blow up that very oil as we see in Egypt and other countries now being ran by the new army of muslim brother hoods, youth hoods, and mother hoods.

Don’t underestand the direction Fox News is heading. First Shep and now they add a Soros-Funded Activist to their stable of commentators.

    Fox News Hires Soros-funded Activist
    Author – Cliff Kincaid
    Friday, January 20, 2012

Sally Kohn, a former senior strategist at the Soros-funded Center for Community Change, has been hired as a Fox News Contributor. Soros is the controversial hedge fund billionaire, convicted of insider trading in France, who finances the “progressive” movement in the U.S.

It is significant that Kohn is now a regular paid commentator on Fox News, while Glenn Beck, the one-time archenemy of George Soros, was ousted from the channel last year and now hosts an Internet TV show.

An open lesbian who shuns feminine attire and frequently wears a suit jacket, Kohn is joining Fox News after being a regular on such programs as “The Ed Show” on liberal rival MSNBC. She is now officially part of the “Fox News Family,” as she puts it, and has been making appearances on the channel for several days.

The selection of Kohn raises disturbing questions about the direction of Fox News in a critical election year. Kohn worked at the Center for Community Change, one of the leading Soros-funded groups, for six years, from 2004—2010. During this period, the group received $5.8 million from Soros’s main vehicle, the Open Society Institute (OSI).

Kohn has a history of her own, having worked for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), a group that tries to keep criticism of the homosexual agenda out of the mainstream media. Interestingly, GLAAD has relentlessly attacked Fox News, with one of the latest examples being an occasion during which correspondent Shannon Bream interviewed guests critical of a transgendered person, a man dressed as a woman, who had used a woman’s changing room at a department store. GLAAD viewed this criticism as “dangerous.”

LA Times: Militant Islamist group takes responsibility for deadly attacks, leaves Nigerians shaken

    Jan 21, 2012
    Saturday, January 21, 2012

    KANO, Nigeria _

More than 150 people were killed in the Friday evening carnage in the northern city of Kano. The group Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the attacks, whose targets included the secret service headquarters, an immigration office and a passport office.

Boko Haram, which wants to impose sharia, or Islamic law, on Nigeria’s 160 million people, killed more than 500 people in almost daily attacks last year. Before Friday’s violence, it had killed more than 70 people this year.

U.S. officials have expressed fear that the group, whose name means “Western education is sacrilege,” may be getting support and training from al-Qaida affiliates on the continent, given the increasing sophistication of its attacks and growing use of suicide bombers.

Nigeria is divided between the mainly Muslim north and the oil-rich, mainly Christian south. As well as terror attacks in the north, it has been plagued for years by sectarian killings, particularly in central Nigeria, and violent insurgencies, oil theft and piracy in the southern Niger Delta.

“We now have 162 bodies deposited here by relief workers,” a morgue attendant said, corpses piled up on the blood-splattered floor nearby. “The figure is bound to increase, as the rescue teams keep recovering bodies from different parts of the city.”

The attacks increase the pressure for a resolution of the crisis on Jonathan, a southern Christian whose election last year triggered violent protests in the north.

AFP: “Vietnam war question haunts Afghanistan”

Jan 22 2012 By Lawrence Bartlett

A legendary question from the dying days of the Vietnam war has taken on a new resonance in Afghanistan as the United States-led coalition prepares to pull out its combat troops.

Vietnam veteran and later US presidential candidate John Kerry asked the question at a Senate hearing in 1971: “How do you ask a man to be the last man to die in Vietnam?”

Brigadier General Carsten Jacobson, chief spokesman for NATO’s International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan, says…

“we all know that the decision in Afghanistan will not be achieved on the battlefield”.

Jacobson disputes overarching comparisons between Vietnam and Afghanistan, but concedes that “there are individual elements where you can say this looks a little bit like Vietnam.

“And one of the big ones is that we have got not only Americans but a coalition of 50 nations that has soldiers far away from home where none of them can say this is a war that really threatens my house and home.”

One big difference, though, is that Afghanistan doesn’t carry the “moral cost” that Vietnam did, he said.

The second sentence in Kerry’s famous speech to the Senate was: “How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?”

Asked whether he would feel his death to be worthwhile if he was the last man to die in Afghanistan as NATO combat troops pulled out, Jacobson said it was not a question for the soldiers themselves.

But US Lieutenant Colonel Jimmie Cummings, who sat in on the interview, was quick to respond in the affirmative.

Describing his mission as helping to ensure Afghanistan never again becomes a haven for terrorists, he said: “To answer your question, yes, it would be.”

    http://news.yahoo.com/vietnam-.....I3MjY5ODE0

In answer to Kerry’s questions: Keep U.S. Lt. Colonal Cummings safe for giving the best answer.

Forty years later, some Western officials say privately the time has come to ask the same question about Afghanistan, given the decision to quit combat in 2014 — win, lose or draw.

And French President Nicolas Sarkozy, facing a tough election battle in three months, warned Friday that he might pull French troops out early after four were shot dead on their base by an Afghan soldier.

I find Boner an especially disturbing entity. Again, seems to like the position, the perks, the recognition, etc but none of the responsibilities. Heck, even Pelosi has it all over him in that regard, nasty though she may be.

I imagine that taking a stand on any issue, for Boner, is tantamount to being some sort of raving lunatic in his mind.

When he said, regarding the non-recess, recess appointments made by Captain Zero, “I think the courts will find them illegitimate”, he divulged himself as a non-thinker and clearly a coward. He offered nothing of substance, didn’t want to make any waves and therefore become the target of false racist claims. After all, he’s got to make sure the press and the media will like him. They, the ruling class elites, never get it. The media hates them. Sometimes more, sometimes a little less but they media always hates them. They could stand in front of the capital and give away millions at a time, free cars, houses and everything for everyone but the only way he’d get the media to love him is to become a democrat. Even then, they’d hate him for changing parties.

So, the natural instinct for a guy like Boner is to insulate himself, avoid confrontation, avoid the people and work only in the shadows. Never come out and defend the people of the nation. Never. No…. tch tch tch….baaaad ju-ju. So I only like him slightly more than Pelosi as Speaker. I wonder if he knows that I equate his job qualifications below that of a vacuum cleaner salesman.

Rueters: Impoverished Afghan woman gives birth to sextuplets

    Mazar-E-Sharif Jan 24, 2012

    MAZAR-E-SHARIF, Afghanistan (Reuters) –

Sara Gul, 22, from the northern Balkh province, said on Tuesday she tried to abort after learning she was pregnant with the brood of six, highlighting the country’s poverty and ignorance surrounding birth control.

“I even jumped from a wall but nothing happened to them,” Gul told Reuters in provincial capital Mazar-e-Sharif, where she gave birth — her first — late Monday.

Rare in nature, multiple births are often the result of medical fertility treatment, although the method does not exist in Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Health warns Afghanistan’s population of 30 million will double in as many years, stunting opportunities for economic growth in what is already one of the world’s poorest nations.

Efforts to promote birth control by the government have been met with caution by aid groups who say introducing contraceptives would be extremely difficult in the ultra-conservative Muslim society, and opposition from Islamic scholars who say they are unlawful.

Why would Rueters say Afghanistan does not use the infertility technology
or that introducing contraceptives is not followed in Afghanistan when muslims in place firm religious laws allowing abortion.

I guess Reuters drew their estimate of Afghanistan’s population doubling from studies that muslims are the fastest growing and spreading people in the world.

Now I would think their population growth would mean the law of supply and demand would lead to more jobs for Afghanistan.

If U.S. & 50 other NATO countries would stop all lives, work, and money; and allow Afghanistan to build their own mosques, schools, and toilets Afghans employment might go up.

Fox News Latino: Spanish Ad By Obama Backers Labels Romney ‘Two Faced’

Bryan Llenas published Jan 24, 2012

The SEIU, the Service Employees International Union, and Priorities USA Action, the super-PAC helping President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign, have released a new Spanish language radio ad airing in Tampa and Orlando attacking Mitt Romney.

The ad is expected to run over the next several weeks at a cost of “six figures” that would be “split” between both organizations, according to Paul Begala, Senior Advisor of Priorities USA Action.

The 60 second ad is entitled ‘Dos Caras’ or Two Faces.

“In Spanish [ads] he says he believes in us, and in English he says he would veto the DREAM Act and would deport immigrants,” said Eliseo Medina, SEIU Secretary-Treasurer.

The ad says: (Listen to the ad here.)

Albert Martinez, an adviser for the Romney campaign and a former strategist for Marco Rubio, has responded to the ad.

“This is a dishonest smear from President Obama’s liberal allies…” Martinez said. “Hispanics, like all Floridians, are supporting Mitt Romney…”

The SEIU and Priorities USA Action says this is only the beginning and that the other candidates, especially former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, should be on the look out.

“Right now, it’s the moment for Mitt Romney to feel the love,” Begala said. “The ad will continue to run when Romney packs up and hits west.”

Gingrich is airing radio ads that tell listeners that Romney borrowed from a phrase from Cuban leader Fidel Castro.

Nonetheless, the SEIU and Priorities USA Action, say that this ad is just the beginning.

“Stay tuned,” Medina said. “I think Mr. Romney and Gingrich, unless they begin to change course, are on their way to the political elephant graveyard and not the White House.”

Oh how hilarious! Such threatening talk by Obama Union Thugs.

Running adds in Spanish. It’s sinking in Romney truly meant it when he said Mexicans with VISA in the U.S. should get voting cards.

Lot’s of money will go to pay for interpreters (need only speak English) to show Mexicans how to mark their ballots.

And to think we also have one of the greatest immigration waves from Cuban coming to the U.S.
I thought Mitt & Newt wanted brilliant, intelligent, educated immigrants coming to the U.S. and educating Americans with their brilliance.

Obama and Hillary ignore Americans not even free to travel in Egypt, The muslim brotherhood blowing up oil pipes to Israel, and want to send more financial aid and OG&E.

Reuters: Obama set to speed aid to Egypt-official

by Warren Stobel 25 Jan 2012

DAVOS, Switzerland, Jan 25 (Reuters) – U.S. President Barack Obama plans to accelerate the pace of American aid to Egypt, a top State Department official said on Wednesday, as the most populous Arab nation reaches a critical stage in its uncertain transition away from autocratic rule.

Undersecretary of State Robert Hormats, part of a U.S. delegation that held unprecedented talks last week with Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood, said Washington wanted to provide “more immediate benefits” to Egyptians, …

Under the plan, some non-urgent U.S. aid slated for other countries – he did not name them – would be redirected to Egypt.

For the money to flow, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton must certify that the Egyptian government is supporting the transition to a civilian government,…

In addition, the law says that none of the aid, military or economic, can be spent unless Egypt is meeting its obligations under the 1979 Egypt-Israel peace treaty.

U.S. officials have cited fiscal restraints at home, as well as resistance in the Congress.

Hormats described the half-dozen Brotherhood officials he met with as “very pragmatic….”

“And their focus primarily is on small- and medium-enterprise” as generators of job creation, he said.

Earlier this month, Representative Frank Wolf, a Virginia Republican, wrote to Obama and Clinton, warning them that recent raids on foreign non-governmental organizations in Cairo could jeopardize U.S. military assistance.

Along with formal government assistance to Egypt, the Obama administration is promoting expanded trade ties; supporting efforts by the International Monetary Fund to reach an agreement with Cairo; and encouraging U.S. firms to explore investment.

A U.S. business mission led by General Electric is headed to Egypt next month, Hormats said.

The Jerusalem Post: Muslim Brotherhood repeats: No talks with Israel

    By Oren Kessler 1/26/2012

Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood categorically rejects dialogue with Israel, the group’s spokesman told an Arabic newspaper in an interview published Wednesday.

… to honor the 1979 peace treaty with Israel, which he said serves the interests of both countries.

Ghazlan flatly rejected the prospect of talks with the Jewish state….

“This is not an option, whatever the circumstances – we do not recognize Israel at all. It’s an occupying criminal enemy,” Rashad Bayoumi told London’s Al-Hayat daily, adding, “I will not allow myself to sit down with criminals.”

“The Brotherhood respects international conventions, but we will take legal action against the peace treaty with the Zionist entity,” Bayoumi said without elaborating.

FoxNews.com: State Department urges Egypt to ‘immediately’ lift travel restrictions on Americans

    Jan 26, 2012

The Obama administration is urging Egypt to “immediately” lift travel restrictions on several U.S. citizens, after the son of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and other Americans were prevented from leaving the country.

    (((( canary giggles)))

The travel restrictions stem from a raid last month on nongovernmental organizations, or NGOs. U.S. officials have protested the treatment of those groups, including three U.S.-based groups, but the situation escalated when it emerged that the Egyptian government has created what was described as a “no-exit list.”

Jan. 23, 2009: Transportation Department handout photo shows Sam Lahood, left, as his father, Ray LaHood, is sworn in as transportation secretary.

State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said top officials — including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — have gotten involved. She said the administration so far knows of “four or five specific cases” where Americans have tried to leave and “had difficulties.”

“We are urging the government of Egypt to lift these restrictions immediately and allow folks to come home as soon as possible,” she said, later adding: “Frankly, we don’t know how this is going to come out yet.”

…Sam LaHood, in an email to Fox News, said three Americans with the International Republican Institute are on the no-exit list, as well as two other non-Americans.

LaHood also detailed what happened when he tried to leave on Saturday. He said he was stopped by a security officer while trying to pass through the passport check at the Cairo airport.

“He pulled me out of line and asked me to wait. After an hour a (woman) from the Immigration Department emerged with my passport and told me I was denied exit from Egypt,” he wrote. “I asked her why, and she told me she did not now….

Meanwhile, Secretary LaHood said Thursday that he has been in contact with his son.

“I’m very gratified by all the work that’s going on by the administration and our ambassador in Egypt, and so I appreciate the work they’re doing on that,” he said.

Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain, who is chairman of the IRI board, on Thursday called on Egypt to lift the travel restrictions on LaHood and other NGO workers.

“It is outrageous that these individuals would be held against their will by Egyptian authorities and prohibited from leaving the country,” he said in a statement. “I deeply regret that this crisis has escalated to the point that it now endangers the lives of American citizens and could set back the long-standing partnership between the United States and Egypt.”

In the raids, the Egyptian government confiscated equipment and closed offices at several of the sites. ….”

“Frankly, at this point, we don’t have a lot of faith that that will happen in short order, because there’s just not been any signs of positive progress since the initial raids,” he said.
