Yeah, one of those reactionary groups that plague my email. Did you know
that 9/11 is on a Sunday this year? Be it known that the Good Doctor is fixing to have a barbecue that Sunday, in beautiful downtown New York – nothing fancy, pork ribs, pork sausage, maybe some kielbasa – just don’t get any drippings on the proposed site for the Victory Mosque! My heart would fall out of my head if a one of us ever offended Muslim sensibilities. They are The Religion of Peas you know.

Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK) blasts Obama on issues.

Mind you the last Somalia Obama brought over hear responsible for 200 dead marines at a U.S. embassy in Africa, got off with a slap on the hand and sent back. Why? Because he wasn’t driving the truck bomb.

    Dear Friends,

Last week, the Department of Labor announced the nation’s unemployment rate increased 9.2 percent in the month of June, with employers adding only 18,000 jobs. This dismal report once again proves that our nation cannot sustain its current spending levels. With trillions of debt weighing us down and increased overregulation by Washington bureaucrats, it is essential we begin helping our national economy – not make it worse. That is why I support the Cut, Cap, and Balance approach to fixing our debt.

In response to President Obama’s recent decision to transfer Somalia terrorist Ahmed Abdulkadir Warsame to the United States for civilian trial, I joined my Senate colleagues in sending a letter to U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta demanding answers on Warsame’s detention and trial. Trying terrorist detainees captured overseas in a U.S. civilian court is simply unacceptable. Earlier this year, I introduced legislation that would prevent this from occurring and ensure that high value enemy combatants captured by the United States be detained at Gitmo, where they belong.

Recently, the Oklahoma congressional delegation sent a joint letter fighting overregulation in the state’s coal industry. The Office of Surface Mining (OSM) is attempting to stop new mining activity in Oklahoma, which could potentially destroy 260 good paying jobs. During an already weakened economy, we cannot afford to lose any more jobs.

Lastly, I joined U.S. Sen. Scott Brown in introducing S. 1348, the Veterans Day Moment of Silence Act. This legislation calls for Americans to observe two minutes of silence on Veterans Day in honor of every U.S. military veteran.

    Jim Inhofe

I really think Jim Inhofe would make a good President of the U.S. as he has experience over the military and worked years exposing the fraud of man made global warming.

Obama caught doing new secret experiments in loving interrogations in which the CIA is kept in dark.

Los Angeles Times: Terrorism suspect secretly held for two months

Ahmed Abdulkadir Warsame, a Somali, is the first detainee known to have been secretly held by the Obama administration outside the criminal justice system.

July 06, 2011|By Ken Dilanian, Washington Bureau

A Somali militant linked to Al Qaeda was held and interrogated for two months on a U.S. Navy ship — the first publicly known example of the Obama administration secretly detaining a new terrorism suspect outside the criminal justice system.

Senior administration officials revealed the case Tuesday after an indictment against the man, Ahmed Abdulkadir Warsame, was unsealed in federal court in New York.

….charges that he worked to broker a weapons deal between Al Qaeda’s affiliate in Yemen and the Somali militant group Shabab. It alleges that he fought on Shabab’s behalf in Somalia in 2009, then went to Yemen in 2010 for explosives training and took part in terrorist activities there.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were discussing intelligence matters.

Warsame was turned over to the FBI after extensive “humane” interrogation aboard ship by a unit known as a High-Value Interrogation Group, made up of FBI, CIA and Defense Department personnel, the officials said. But a U.S. official said CIA officers did not directly question Warsame. After the controversy surrounding George W. Bush-era interrogations of detainees, the CIA has consistently said it has kept its agents away from direct questioning.

After Obama significantly expanded the targeted killing of militants in Pakistan and elsewhere through Predator drone strikes, Republicans and some outside analysts charged that the administration seemed to prefer to kill Al Qaeda members rather than sort through the messy legalities of detaining them. Crucial intelligence was being lost, they said.

After the High-Value Interrogation Group had completed its questioning of Warsame and transferred him to FBI custody, he was read his Miranda rights, the officials said.

In Warsame’s case, the information gleaned in the intelligence interrogation was not used against him in the criminal case, the officials said…

“This is an ideal example of how individuals can be captured and interrogated and intelligence can be gleaned, and then we can decide what to do with them,” a senior administration official said.

They did not link him to any plot or attack against the U.S., but said he had “clearly served as an important conduit” between Shabab and Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, facilitating contacts and weapons transfers.

The relationship between Shabab and the Al Qaeda affiliate in Yemen is one of “mutual convenience,” Nelson said. Militants in Yemen have an ample supply of firearms, and the Somalis have better sources of income from piracy and kidnap-for-ransom schemes, said Nelson, citing independent research done by the center in East Africa.

This is insane. This is backwards. And he’s an admitted terrorist whose going to be walking on NYC streets soon, because of a plea deal in his civil court? No criminal or military court?
So, Pirates working for Al-qaeda, guns, bombs, are not real terrorists as Nelson describes they just hold ships for ransom? People are held for ransom for years and die.

Okay this Somalia, muslim, blood thirsty, terrorist pirate
is has been eating steak and drinking wine since April 2011.
    Then flown to NYC.

Meanwhile, Piracy rose 36 % during this period.

This explains why one of Obama’s first moves was to release the U.S.S. Cole terrorists who murdered our Navy.

PIRATE INCIDENTS from High Value program.

Bloomberg: Record Number of Somalian Pirate Incidents Boost Ship Attacks by 36%

    By Alaric Nightingale – Jul 14, 2011

Pirate attacks climbed 36 percent in the first half of the year as the number of attempts off Somalia in East Africa rose to a record.

There were 266 attacks in the period,..

“In the last six months, Somali pirates attacked more vessels than ever before and they’re taking higher risks,” IMB director Pottengal Mukundan said. They fired on ships for the first time during the monsoon season last month, he said.

Somali pirates took 361 sailors hostage and kidnapped 13 in the first half. The number of violent and organized attacks off West Africa also increased, the IMB said.
    Engine Damage

The Brillante Virtuoso, a tanker carrying about 1 million barrels of fuel oil, was set on fire off the Yemeni coast and suffered engine damage after pirates used a rocket-propelled grenade to attack the vessel, a legal adviser to the ship’s owner said July 6.

Dangerous Fakes – How counterfeit, defective computer components from China are getting into U.S. warplanes and ships

    WND – http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=321477

“The American military faces a growing threat of potentially fatal equipment failure—and even foreign espionage—because of counterfeit computer components used in warplanes, ships, and communication networks. Fake microchips flow from unruly bazaars in rural China to dubious kitchen-table brokers in the U.S. and into complex weapons. Senior Pentagon officials publicly play down the danger, but government documents, as well as interviews with insiders, suggest possible connections between phony parts and breakdowns.”

There are counterfeit Chinese computer components, chips, etc… intended for military use that may be defective, non-secure, or in regards to the chips have “backdoor” access allowing them to be shut down remotely. Not to worry I am sure Leon Panetta will get this all cleared up real soon.

FOXNews:Gunmen Kill Adviser to Afghan President, Lawmaker

    July 17, 2011

KABUL, Afghanistan – Gunmen strapped with explosives killed a close adviser to Afghan President Hamid Karzai and a member of parliament on Sunday in another insurgent strike against the Afghan leader’s inner circle.

Two men wearing suicide bomb vests and armed with guns attacked Khan’s home in the western Kabul district of Karti Char,…

Police killed one of the attackers before he could detonate his explosives, while the other was still barricated inside the home, said the head of the Kabul police investigation unit, Mohammed Zahir. A member of the police’s anti-terrorism unit was also killed, he added. The surviving guman was alone in the house, Zahir said.

Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the attack on behalf of the insurgent group.

Karzai has complained the raids anger many Afghans who are mistakenly targeted.

“He was cooperating and helping the American forces,” Mujahid said in an emailed statement.

Also Sunday, NATO said three of its service members died. One was killed by a roadside bomb in eastern Afghanistan and two were killed by a similar device in the south. It did not release their nationalities or any further details. The deaths bring the total number of coalition forces killed this month to 34.

CBS: Top Karzai aide killed in Afghan suicide attack

    July 17 2011

KABUL, Afghanistan – A Defense Ministry official says a close adviser to the Afghan president and a member of parliament have been killed during an attack in the capital.

They were killed when two men wearing suicide vests attacked Khan’s home in the western Kabul district of Karti Char.

“People are very concerned about security in Bamiyan right now. When several months ago they announced the areas where the first phase of transition would occur, and named Bamiyan, militant activities increased.”

In Sunday’s fighting, Afghan and NATO troops fought an overnight gunbattle with Taliban insurgents and called in an airstrike on the building where the fighters were holed up. At least 13 Taliban were killed.

He said the building occupied by the Taliban was a school, which was empty…

“A report that the fatal gunshot was fired by an Afghan National Army soldier is now the subject of a joint International Security Assistance Force and Afghan National Security Force investigation,” said Lt. Col. Tim Purbrick, a spokesman for British forces in Afghanistan.

BBC: Afghanistan: Senior aide to President Karzai killed

    July 17 2011

A senior aide to Afghan President Hamid Karzai, Jan Mohammad Khan, has been killed in an attack on his home in Kabul.

“They were not suicide bombers, they were carrying weapons.

He said one man carrying an AK47 and a grenade launcher had been captured.

But he was also a controversial figure, often accused of supporting local militias and abusing human rights. President Karzai supported him.

He was in Kandahar for Mr Karzai’s half-brother’s funeral last week.

Kabul police chief Gen Ayub Salangi told the BBC one attacker was still alive and fighting from a bathroom in the house.

The BBC’s Bilal Sarwary in Kabul says Mr Khan – a former governor of Uruzgan province – was a close ally of the president, but he was also a controversial figure.

    Tranquil Night.

Senator Jim Inhofe has fought harder than anyone in politics to prevent defense cuts, keep military equipment, make more military equipment,

He has fought harder than anyone to keep Gitmo from closing.

And he fought harden than anyone to expose the man made global warming myth and fraud. And was successful, though the liberals ignore it.

Also, he fought harder than anyone for Veteran Benefits changes Obama tried to enforce.

Coburn voted against a proposal for vets of Iraq and Afghanistan. He got blasted.
Coburn’s side was that the Act only named disabled vets from the Iraq & Afghanistan, and that it should include all disabled vets from previous wars.
Hard to know, since he’s been accused before of not supporting vets. He’s not real compassionate, though he did push objection of Obama’s death panels and fought against
decreasing certain tests. Same time, he wants to after medicaid fraud. And I can say there is a lot of it out there.
There is also of problems with the Social Security paying checks to people who they consider no longer qualified, but somehow keep sending the checks.

I think Jim Inhofe would be a good President of the U.S.
He’s experienced, did not want to take the federal stimulus money for the EPA’s not mandated restriction. Now fighting the EPA who no doubt is targeting petty things; no doubt under the orders of Obama. I watch him on Fox, and he’s pretty good.

My personal opinion, is halt the federal stimulus payments.
Halt all the turning federal govt buildings renovations to green.

I’d like to see more testing done of federal employees, because there is so much nepotism, promoting of incompetent employees. Let them find farm or sewer work so they can at least stay in the realm of work they chose.

It’s a conservative analysis. I didn’t see where they recommended eliminating any departments entirely and there are probably 5 that should be trashed completely.

If we want the government to work the way the founders designed it, the reductions need to be about twice what this report states.

Taxes could be cut at the federal level, but would probably be offset by increases in state and local taxes.

I’d have to look into the complete plan, not a high priority. Given the current circumstances it’s a non-starter on it’s own although might have some good ideas. From what I’ve reaf he eliminates ethanol, which I’m for, but sounds way to liberal on the Military cuts, which I’m against with Panetta at Defense.

Coburn was a part of the first forgotten deficit commission. The rumor is he’ll be a part of the new commission that comes about from the McConnell-Reid deal with a legal mandate to produce legislation based on the recommendations.

If so then the treacherous McConnell option is going to basically force Congress to accept a tax increase/spending cuts deal that ends up all tax increases.

  8. BillK says:

Hmmm… USA Today writes a piece complaining Americans are “fed up” with political gridlock but somehow can’t seem to quote a single conservative with complaints against the Democrats or the President.

    What a shocker… not.

From USA Today via Gannett-owned KUSA Television:

Americans fed up with constant political gridlock

WASHINGTON – Members of Congress care more about their own re-election campaigns than about the nation’s economy. Leaders in the House and Senate spend all their time battling. The White House won’t take charge.

A pox on the lot of them.

So say many Americans after weeks of watching political wrangling over how to cut spending and whether to raise taxes as part of a deal to raise the $14.3 trillion debt ceiling by Aug. 2 so the federal government won’t have to default on its loans for the first time.

“They’re screwing up right and left,” says Steve Watson, 57, a self-described conservative Republican from Delta, Utah. “We’ve got to clean house and put new people in there with new ideas. All they’re doing is arguing among themselves and not getting anything done.”

Ann Perry, 70, a liberal Democrat and retired teacher from Chester County, Pa., says, “They’re worried about getting re-elected … and it’s costing us.” …

The piece is “news” of course because of their own paid-for poll:

As Obama and Republicans continue to debate how to handle the debt and future deficits, the GOP is taking the hardest hit with a job approval rating of 28% in a new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll. Obama’s approval rating: 45%.

The key quotes, however, come at the end of the piece:

Carey Lefkowitz, 32, a self-described liberal Democrat who supported Obama in 2008, says he blames the Republicans for the unfolding fiasco – but he’s disappointed with Obama for compromising on extending Bush-era tax cuts for top earners this year.

“I want my president to go out there and have the (guts) to stand up for what’s right,” Lefkowitz says. “I’d like to hear him set it straight with the American people.”

Charlene Lewis, 60, a Democrat from Vincent, Ohio, blames no one but the Republicans, specifically House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio. Lewis says she has a sister who counts on government programs to pay for her kidney dialysis treatments, and she can’t abide the notion that entitlements such as Medicare could be cut while tax breaks for the wealthy stay in place.

“Boehner should realize who he’s working for,” Lewis says.

John Ross, 71, a moderate Republican from Tavares, Fla., also pinned the problems on his own party, complaining that the anti-tax Tea Party faction has scuttled efforts to reach a compromise on spending and taxes. “The Tea Party Republicans are Republicans first and Americans second,” he says, “and it’s a shame.”

Yep, sounds right for the propaganda ministers at Gannett.

Remember, “taxing the rich” while spending profligately is the American way.

Unfortunately, it is in the new “I want my Government freebies” America.

    • JohnMG says:

Funny. Does Charlene Lewis think Obamacare will keep her sister alive?

That dialysis is an expensive treatment and everyone in need of it is a dead-man-walking. All dialysis does is slow down the clock, but the sad fact is, every one of those patients are terminal. When the death panels have sway and the money runs out, Charlene’s sister and a multitude of others will be on a fast track to oblivion. Unless they can produce a Democrat party registration card and the next election is just around the corner.

What fools are Charlene and her ilk.

    • Rusty Shackleford says:

“…so the federal government won’t have to default on its loans for the first time.”

Wrongo, buffalo breath. The US is not in any danger whatsoever of defaulting on anything. This is all, as proreason has said as well as many others, “Kabuki Theater”. Raising the debt limit is a vehicle which has little to no meaning in the grand scheme of things, and I use the term “scheme” very aptly. It’s a self-imposed limit the government agrees to so as to restrict how much they can borrow at a time. It has been raised repeatedly since its inception. In the worst case scenario, it’s like saying, “I’ve reached the credit limit on my card, so I have to go get a loan to pay it off”.

Parts of this article simply bleed from the pages of ignorant arrogance. It’s like having a five year old explain string theory.

Man Claims $300K House for $16

By AOL Real Estate Editors (who got it from KHOU)
    Posted Jul 18th 2011 2:30PM

Thanks to a little-known provision in state law, enterprising Texan Kenneth Robinson — either a hero or a squatter, depending on your point of view — has taken possession of a foreclosed $300,000 house for a mere $16. That’s the amount he forked over to file a claim of “adverse possession” of the property with the Denton County courthouse.

Robinson contends that the abandoned house is his for the taking, since neither the original owner nor the bank is likely to go to the trouble or expense of kicking him out. If he can manage to stay in the property for three years, he says, the law grants him the right to petition the court for title to the house.

Video shows – Neighbors are livid at squatters moving in. Interview with Robinson who will have to live there for 3 years (maybe without utilities – ponder that). Police claim it’s not their jurisdiction so they can do nothing.

Interesting because with all the foreclosures and more impending, this maybe how groups like Acorn will get people homes.

    • canary says:

HeyKev, did your hear Obama recently extended people not making house payments for 1 year.

BBC: US ‘to aid Islamist areas of famine-hit Somalia’

    July 19 2010

    * Fighting and food aid
    * Babies left to die
    * ‘A vision of hell’
    * Somali militants ‘recruit minors’

The US has said it will send aid to famine-hit areas of Somalia controlled by the Islamist group al-Shabab.

But US aid officials say assurances must be given that the insurgents will not interfere with its distribution.

The US considers al-Shabab a terrorist group and last year stopped aid to the large area of Somalia it controls.

Al-Shabab, an al-Qaeda-affiliated group which controls large swathes of south and central Somalia, had imposed a ban on foreign aid agencies in its territories in 2009, but has recently allowed limited access.

“What we need is…, who are willing to go into Somalia who will tell us affirmatively that they are not being taxed by al-Shabab, they are not being subjected to bribes from al-Shabab, that they can operate unfettered,” Mr Steinberg told the BBC.

In April 2010 US President Barack Obama issued an executive order naming al-Shabab a terrorist organisation, meaning no US aid could go to areas under its control, our analyst adds.

For the past three years the region has been controlled by al-Shabab.

However, their harsh interpretation of Islamic law and use of corporal punishment have scared away thousands, including farmers, professionals, business people and aid workers.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Wednesday that Washington would provide an extra $28m in emergency aid to counter the famine.

She said the US had already provided $431m this year in emergency aid to the Horn of Africa, but that was “not enough”.

He said discussions with al-Shabab about the safe distribution of food aid were taking place at a local level, and that responses were expected to differ depending on the locality.

Doesn’t say if the “willing” they want will be allowed to carry weapons.

They consider the dying children martyrs and have refused infidel aid in the past as it would upset allah. They have been eating their babies, and selling their organs. This is far less a sin than putting infidel’s food in their tummies which would cause sin to allah.

Living U.S. Marine to receive Medal of Honor
… Dakota Meyer of Austin, who left active duty in June 2010, will be the first living Marine in 41 years to receive the nation’s highest award for valor… Meyer was a scout sniper, according to the Marine Corps Times, who “charged into a kill zone on foot and alone to find three missing Marines and a Navy corpsman, who had been pinned down under intense enemy fire in a remote village near the Pakistan border. Already wounded by shrapnel, Meyer found them dead and stripped of their gear and weapons, and helped carry them from the kill zone.”

What CBS fails to mention is the controversy surrounding this incident. The Marines repeatedly called for artillery support but were refused, so Cpl Meyer finally went in on his own. Last month, we attended a Navy Cross ceremony at the Marine Corps Museum. Same story. The two Marines valiantly collected bodies after air support was denied.
This is Obama’s war. If there are a few huts in the area during an ambush, forget about help, but if you manage to live through it and grab the ones who didn’t, why then, we’ll think about it for a while and maybe give you an award.
Cpl Meyer’s response to all of this is spot-on (which is not surprising). His focus is on the fallen Marines – something our president can’t seem to force himself to do, even on Memorial Day.

At the end of the day, the Republicans will still be the (perceived) losers, giving schadenfreude moments to all the hippies and greenies and other dopes who understand nothing but think they do. The human mind is an incredible thing, allowing itself to cloister information that it likes and ignore information that it doesn’t. Conservative people are often criticized as being “too negative” but the reality of that is that conservative thinkers have had the benefit of learning from their mistakes and from the mistakes of others.

Liberals, and socialists, have a wide-eyed ignorance about them. Hopey-Changey wishes and thinking that money appears magically. If we all search ourselves, we can find a thought or two that we don’t like to think about and actually avoid doing so. But there is a very special trigger in the mind of a liberal/socialist that the very moment they hear or even think of something potentially negative, that is, something that makes them have to actually think critically and even be self-judgemental, they switch it off and instead think about Lady Gaga or puppies or something that makes them happy.

It’s this inability to face true reality that identifies the leftist/socialist. It’s the dolt who builds their house on a bed of sand, with the tide moving in. But the socialist ignores both and then is astounded as to why the house was washed away and then, in keeping with the mental state they have fostered and reinforced their whole life, looks for other things to blame as to why it happened. Indeed, the past was not a stranger to people blaming ridiculous things but nowadays they really are reaching. AGW is certainly the catch-all for blame as it’s so readily convenient and, in their minds, “backed up” by so many “legitimate scientists”.

So here we are again….attempting to solve a not-so-dangerous problem with logical, well-founded reason. But in the hands of the left, it’s the emotions that count. They are angry because they see it as an attempt to diminish the flow of tax dollars to themselves and use the “You hate the elderly” as the pointed argument of the day, among others. But, I recall in the 60’s and the 70’s movies and TV shows had those villains who, when they had hostages would try to implicate their bad behavior on the ones who were trying to stop him. Such things as, “You made me kill them…the hostages…..you would not meet my demands so you caused me to kill them. I warned you. But their blood is on your hands”.

This is called extortion and Obama pulled that crap the other day when he said, “If we can’t reach an agreement, I can’t guarantee that the social security checks will be going out”. This is patented gangster-speak from a narcissistic man-child who has but one color in his box of crayons. I’m glad the media put it out there thinking it was “good press” but it really exposed this little whiner as a villain. I took it personally because of my pensioner mother’s position. How dare you threaten my mother like that. How dare you threaten Americans like that. How un-presidential you are. How child like. How utterly self-involved you are. And so very angry.

So it’s not surprising that the grand scheme is getting more and more exposed. Get as many people on government stolen money as possible, to get them dependent, to get them to vote democrat because if they don’t, we’ll punish them and keep the money for ourselves. Behold the “benevolent dictator”. I do often wonder if he pines for the day when he sees himself standing at the balcony, giving a speech and everyone follows his bidding; Where he has all his desires met and to hell with the American people he was hired to protect….but he feels only a certain segment of that population is worthy of it.

And thus he is the great leader…the be-all to end-all, literally. Hate is a very curious emotion. It can be useful. It can even be productive. But more often it has facets that cause people to act irrationally and irresponsibly, as seen every hour of every day by this president. He is an irrational, hate-filled, angry man-child.

Had to tank it ASAP because polling was starting to come out and it’s unmaskable. If the debate were allowed to bleed out any more for them in the media, they were going to find themselves upsetting the applecart as bad as they did in ramming through BarryCare. We can still keep CCB relevant if it still looks to be the only realistic deal on the table as time goes on.

Fight’s definitely not over yet. We are under no obligation to acquiesce to our leadership’s imminent cave on a bad deal, the People’s House does not have to be dictated to, even and especially when it is controlled by a popular opposition movement to curb the out-of-control power and behavior of the Senate and Executive.

We can still keep the public pressure up. Boehner’s already on the s***-list for reassuring Obama over and over again that he’s not going to call his bluff, thus he has nothing to fear, so the Conservative Bloc is already at full preparedness for the usual tricks to be showing up in this new deal. If not that, then there’s the Continuing Resolution route, which I’ve advocated from the beginning as the ONLY plan B that leadership should’ve ever considered because it neutralizes this VILE, CHILDISH threat Obama has made to default us if he doesn’t get his way without REWARDING him for making such consequential threats fundamentally founded in lies.

The. Only. Reason. Our. Credit. Rating. Is. Presently. In. Danger. Is. Because. Obama. Threatened. Not. To. Pay. Our. Due. Bills.

It wasn’t because the Republicans weren’t capitulating to an arbitrary false-deadline.

The Establishment Leadership could’ve simply embraced this point from the beginning like we pleaded and pleaded, just as they could’ve embraced Cut, Cap, and Balance from the beginning as we begged. They choose not to on purpose and we can prove it now too. And that’s almost as important to me as getting the Democrat turds on the voting record because we HAVE to look to new leadership. We HAVE to blunt the influence of the Washington-New York moderate Republican media and power grid. They may not be Marxists, but they are still solely self-serving: as in corrupt and manipulative cronies. Looking back through my commentary over the past 7 months, the problem’s we’ve had in maintaining political momentum towards our agenda has never been any more complex than: leadership, leadership, leadership, and how Boehner-McConnell intentionally ceded their duty (and the momentum which translates into the power to move and shape the narrative) to lead on our agenda (which is recovery) back to the Head of State with the agenda that just got shellacked, and which they claim to openly profess is not going to be able to help this country recover until he is thrown out of office.

We had to weed out these weak-spined turds in this fight too, in order to show the rest of the coalition that the old guard we knew only cared about political self-ambition and couldn’t truly ever be trusted demonstrably is not willing to advance and defend limited government Consitutional Conservatism and our values at the moment of Truth. They are BigGov Crony Corporatists that care only about living high among the insiders’ money/lobbying/media racket. They are who lose elections for Republicans by turning the base off.

“But there is a very special trigger in the mind of a liberal/socialist that the very moment they hear or even think of something potentially negative, that is, something that makes them have to actually think critically and even be self-judgemental, they switch it off and instead think about Lady Gaga or puppies or something that makes them happy.”

      Overall great post Rusty.

Biologically speaking I propose that Fear is the trigger. Fear of living, fear of failure, fear of suffering or reliving some past trauma, who knows what it is in each case that sends them retreating into their Fantasy World.

A “normal” person has two impulses when they encounter Fear: Fight or Flight.

F.E.A.R. = Fight Everything And Recover (the alpha mentality)
      F.E.A.R. = F*** Everything And Run (the Boehner/McConnell/Chumpundit mentality)

Despite my bias towards one over the other, I don’t consider either to be “right” in any sort of unbendable principled way. It depends on circumstance and we as humans have the ability to discern and power to choose.

What makes Liberals Fearful are Conservatives, to put it bluntly, lol, so they’re a very paranoid people. It’s also rare to find one that can summon the will to Fight Everything and Recover. Usually Liberals are psychologically vulnerable on their own, they need a social support group to find the courage to embrace a cause. And those causes almost exclusively amount to trying to screw with or control Conservative lifestyles in some way (who they’re convinced by default are trying to dominate them, for no other reason than like you said Rusty: Conservatives learn from their mistakes and thus become more competent and confident adult individuals over time, and their typically strong, logical personalities overwhelm the perpetually sensual/feeling Liberal manchild).

The Liberals who do show some sense of individuality and leadership are quickly shuffled to the front of the pack for how rare they are. But Liberal alphas are usually some of the most vile, morally obtuse people out there: such headaches like Schumer and Pelosi who just DGAF (don’t give a f***) about being scum to anyone if they hold different views (because it inherently challenges their own fragile control over their worldview, like a territorial animal). Just as Conservatives will usually come to embrace the opportunity for a good competitive challenge as “fun,” Liberal Alphas relish the infamy of playing above the rules that they project on everyone else.

The right time for this fight is 2013.

All this extended theatre has done is make obamy stronger for 2012. With his allies in the make believe media, he now looks like the more reasonable party, despite the fact that the people want spending cut and no new taxes.

I guess it’s not over yet, but this has been such a classic example of salvaging defeat from victory that I’m about convinced that Republic leadership is in alliance with the Moron.

If I were in congress, I would want to displace the current leadership immediately, but would probably sit on my hands until 2013. The downside of firing them, of course, is that the mbm would immediately trumpet it as a great victory for the Moron. And the chances of pulling even a minor victory out of the fire after so many humiliating errors is very small, even if the leadership was replaced.

    • tranquil.night says:

“All this extended theatre has done is make obamy stronger for 2012.”

Violent disagreement. From my seat, we have once again demonstrated to Washington that they are governing against the will of the American People – severely. The vast majorities that continue to support the substance of the fiscal arguments to which we’re holding strong only continues to grow, yesterday’s CNN poll would’ve been used to drive that point down our throats if it had come up with the opposite results showing favor for the Democrats. And this time we also ensnared Ruling Class Republicans when they turncoated like we knew they would. Narratives have been shattered and the Ruling Class regime has been reminded that it still is not immortal and it’s days are numbered.

The battle’s still not even over yet.

Obama’s polls continue dipping, they’ve remained in total free-fall in the battleground states over the course of this. Generic Republican is up. Generic Mittoast wins right now. Were the vote today, it’d be a landslide because we all remember from the 2010 election how the MBM skews polling to the best of their ability to suit their political narrative so that they can skew their narrative to better suit the polls. So universally poor numbers even from them I interpret to mean that they’re desperate to keep the real numbers from demonstrating how the wheels have completely fallen off of WTF 2012. So respectfully, I don’t know exactly what data you think is out there that supports this Conventional Perception that O’Crymore the 8PMer and the rest of the Republican Establishment continues to bloviate about – but no matter how intransigent they make us look right now, America does not disagree with us on the substance. I don’t see their politcal opinion as being substantially effective or agreed with whatsoever, all I see is the Ruling Class on defense and them desperately doing everything and using everyone in their pocket to try and change that dynamic, because it was sooo much easier for them to operate when the only glimpse of the political world aveage people had was Fox vs Alphabet Soup. But while they and a lot of the people who continue to watch them remain stuck in that world, it’s rapidly deflating. That dynamic just ain’t how it’s going to play out anymore in Washington.

The Spin stops with Us now, because we can look out for ourselves.

That makes this template of having to look at politics through the prism of what Fox, WSJ, theDC, National Review, etc. aka the Ruling Class Republican Establishment say as increasingly irrelevant. And if it is them that is influencing your perceptions that significantly, I humbly plead that you eject them from your universe.

This is only a warm-up to 2012. It won’t decide it by any means – but we are winning. If all we’re going to do is throw our hands up and sit on our thumbs legislatively until we own the place then we might as well call it quits now. The Democrats and Republican Establishment will just sit there over the next year and use the MBM narrative to wedge and pick us apart, one calculated and coordinated move at a time.

    • tranquil.night says:

“There is no Plan B, because Cut, Cap, and Balance was plan B. We are back to Plan A: no debt ceiling increase.

Let the Democrat Party dine at the table it worked so hard to set. Let them prepare a true “budget” – allocating the money they actually have – for the first time in generations. Compel them to carry out their Constitutional duty, clearly outlined in the 14th Amendment, to pay all of the U.S. government’s financial obligations first, servicing the monstrous national debt that Barack Obama personally increased by 40% in just two years, and then decide which of their dependent constituencies will need to swiftly pull their belts tight.

If President Obama really wants to stop Social Security checks, military funding, or veterans’ benefits, let him do so, with the full and complete understanding that Senate Democrats just “tabled” the only alternative to sudden and dramatic fiscal austerity. Let those angry seniors take careful note of what Democrats choose to fund instead.

The big credit agencies have loudly and repeatedly warned that failure to control our rampant deficit will result in a credit rating downgrade for the United States. That will raise the price of servicing the debt, and leave even less tax money to spend on anything else. The Democrat Party owns that fate 100%. They signed the paperwork this morning.”

      – Doc0 http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=45039

He’s right. CR’s aren’t really our plan B. CCB was. It was our compromise. The Bachmann gang is right for holding that line. Stop-gaps are more or less our fail-safe should Obama really try and pull the trigger. Default won’t happen unless he chooses, which he won’t, and we can still pressure the Republican leadership to fight for that Truth.

    • proreason says:

I just wish the Republicans were smart enough to have a plan at all….no matter a plan A and a plan B

    • tranquil.night says:

“..wish the Republicans were smart enough”

That’s why the Conservatives revolted against the leadership and went forward with CCB. It’s not a matter of questionable intelligence, this is a pattern of behavior from these particular Republicans. It’s a big part of what we have been setting out to prove to everyone through this debate, on top of the obvious fact that the Democrat Party is an ironclad politburo. The Republican leadership deliberately suppressed our efforts to bring CCB to life, and still continues to undermine them rather than advocate in the bill’s moments of Limbo, while still trying to walk this political tightrope of appearing principled in their in their public language.

The Conservatives should hold the line on no debt ceiling increase. Let Boehner conduct his secret meetings to undermine them. If they come out with yet another plan we’ll examine it honestly and continue to let the chips fall. The point I hope we continue to drive home over the weekend and going forward is that the American people do not deserve to be dictated to by secret backroom deals arranged to avert a pseudo-catastrophe constructed specifically for this purpose. The CCB Act was a compromise to raise the debt ceiling by the deadline, a false deadline, despite the fact that the majority of Americans oppose it being raised whatsoever. CCB has supermajority support, support for the BBA is ridiculous.

If the Republican message had been united behind this since the beginning, Obama would’ve surely have folded by now. But the Republicans haven’t, and for a reason other than incompetence. That is why we must not give up yet. The leadership must be made to understand from here on out that they either have to Lead, Follow, or Get Out of the Way.

That CNN poll was the “Vampire being shown the Cross” moment that they’ve desperately been trying to avoid since last November (and ObamaCare before that) by continuing to attempt to construct their sadly out-of-touch ‘perception = reality’ MFM (as Ace calls them now) universe of revised History.

This the fault of all American people, we have allowed thjese politicians to lie to us and slowly destroy the one document above all others that gives us the great country we once had. We have become a country of selfish lazy asses that refuse to turn off the t.v. in order to save ourselves and our children from a live under complete government control.
Where are the people using their right to peacefully assemble to try and let these people no that lies will no longer be accepted. Vote them out of office because if you don’t two things ARE going to happen. 1- you and your children will live under complete government control telling you what you can eat, what job you can have, and what kind of medical treatment you are entitled to. (Sounds pretty close to recent events huh?) 2- Is that we and your children will be fighting another war unlike any we have ever seen.
I for one would rather lay my life on the line and die rather than see my child become so dependent on government that he connot do what he wants our have the rights we enjoy. Please look at what few rights we have left and consider the rights that our Founding Fathers had. I love this country but it is time we stood up and said enough. Get off of your lazy fat asses people. DO something beside writing a damn blog about how upset you are and REVOLT. This government is destroying our freedoms, our quality of life, and our country, selling all of it to countrys like China and groups like the UN, China already wants infastructure in reimbursement for some of the dept owed. How long will it be before they own our roads our schools and our government buildings? Sounds like a non hostile takeover to me. We all know that the people will never let that happen but the question is do we even let it go that far or do we stand together as brothers in arms to see this Great United States of America survive Obama’scommunist takeover? Stand with us or see our country destroyed. The american people are stronger than any foriegn or domestic army. The Founding Fathers left us the right to keep and bear arms because when government becomes detrimental to its people it is the DUTY of the people to start anew. (I believe it was Washington who said it?)
Stand and revolt sheeple for one day soon you will never have the chance.

God save our country for I fear no one else can.
