The Chevy Volt has ceased production — sadly this only appears temporarily.

Could this be the final nail in the coffin of these Marxist attempts to create master plans for products that NO ONE (except govt contractors) want??

I’m on my 3rd Audi and if I was in thr market for another car now it would be ANOTHER Audi — if not simply for this wonderous comment about a year ago:

Audi of America President Johan de Nysschen has said that the Chevy Volt will fail and that anybody who buys the car is an idiot. Not only that, de Nysschen has lumped proponents of any type of electric car into a category of “intellectual elite who want to show what enlightened souls they are.”

After owning two Honda Civic Hybrids, and now on my
second Toyota Prius Hybrid, which, by the way is not
“pricey” if you like 48 MPG, or, twice the milage for the
same cost of gasoline, and being acquainted with the
Laws of Thermodymics, I am of the firm belief that,
    1. US automakers are years behind the curve, and 2.
that foreign makers don’t seem to be so hobbled by
government’s ‘good ideas,’ and 3. all-electric cars are
not a viable concept outside of short trips to the store.

Gloria Allred accidentally reveals her 380-person press list

Celebrity attorney Gloria Allred attended an Oscar viewing party at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunday with Ginger White, the woman who alleges she had a 13-year affair with Herman Cain.

You need to inform 380 media outlets you are going to parade around with Cain’s side kick? As my radical college professor told me, “Everything is political.” –It sure is to the politically insane! Of all the people to pal around with, she has to ruin everything for everyone…what a buzzkill.

As I have said before, lawyers and Alinsky liberals have no soul behind their eyes, (look at them when they are confronted with their own shame next time) are incapable of being embarrassed about any thing. Look at Allred representing this ridiculous case, and then do this in front of kids, again, and again, and again…

Prior the girls keep grinning during the bad words as Gloria tells them.
here is the full length and note the girls smile (as all of Gloria Allred’s clients smile when they are claiming they are hurt) at 50ish over the word rear end 1:00 is over knocking teeth out (the girl on left starts laughing so they edit it, and 1:20ish over f**** word both grinning and grinning. Not sure I got the order right.

And then she does the bat thing twice for the camera and asks “like this”? and says “of course the culprit was using the other arm or hand as if this is significant key evidence.

I seriously don’t think she and her clients area a laughing stalk.
But, this is the sickest stunt she’s pulled yet. Just sick. Kiddies taped it and get to watch it over and over and will end up becoming sluts because of Gloria’s porno action.

Reuters: Khamenei allies trounce Ahmadinejad in Iran election

By Parisa Hafezi and Hashem Kalantari Mar 4 2012

TEHRAN (Reuters) – Clerical Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has tightened his grip on Iran’s faction-ridden politics after loyalists won over 75 percent of seats in parliamentary elections at the expense of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a near-complete count showed.

The widespread defeat of Ahmadinejad supporters – including his sister, Parvin Ahmadinejad – is expected to reduce the president to a lame duck after he sowed divisions by challenging the utmost authority of Khamenei in the governing hierarchy.

The outcome of Friday’s vote, essentially a contest between conservative hardline factions with reformist leaders under house arrest, will have no big impact on Iranian foreign policy, notably its nuclear stand-off with the West. But it will boost Khamenei’s influence in next year’s presidential election.

Ahmadinejad is likely to be summoned to an unprecedented hearing in the outgoing parliament by Friday to answer questions focusing on his rocky handling of the economy, while Khamenei kept ultimate control over foreign policy.

Khamenei, 72, said a high turnout would be a message of defiance to “the arrogant powers bullying us”, a reference to Western states and sanctions against Iran.

“Khamenei, 72, said a high turnout would be a message of defiance to “the arrogant powers bullying us”, a reference to Western states and sanctions against Iran.”

Great considering recent reports Khamenei had North Korea test 2 nuclear warheads in 2010.

  7. Rusty Shackleford says:

This came to me via e-mail from Yahoo News:

COMMENTARY | Recently Rush Limbaugh, the conservative talk show host, and Bill Maher, host of the HBO show “Real Time,” demonstrated different ways of how to deal with similar mistakes. The two approaches by the different men speak much to their character.

Limbaugh has apologized to Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown University law school student whom he insulted, according to Hot Air. “My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir,” Limbaugh said. “I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.” Limbaugh owned up to his mistake and behaved as any gentleman should.

Maher has chosen a different approach, according to the Daily Caller. In the opening monologue of his show, Maher took note of a previous monologue by Limbaugh in which he compared his own behavior toward Fluke with Maher’s vile and obscene insults toward Sarah Palin. In Maher’s view, unlike Limbaugh, he does not have to apologize.

Maher’s excuse goes like this. Limbaugh has sponsors to which he is responsible. Some of Limbaugh’s sponsors have pulled their advertising in the wake of the storm he has stirred. But Maher, since his show airs on a pay-for-view cable network HBO, does not have sponsors. Ergo, Maher can say anything he wants, even insulting a lady with words that cannot be reproduced here.

Maher misses the point. One does not apologize for making a mistake only if some outside institution or people apply pressure. One apologizes because it is the right thing to do.

Or, if you’re self-aware and don’t think you’re the only person on the face of the Earth

To be sure, there are instances, articulated by John Wayne’s iconic character in “She Wore a Yellow Ribbon,” in which he famously said, “Never apologize. It’s a sign of weakness.” Neither the case of Limbaugh with Fluke not Maher with Palin applies. Neither woman deserved what they got.

Apologizing in such circumstances is quite easy, as demonstrated by Limbaugh. It consists of the following:

    What I did was wrong.

    I am sorry about it.

Everything else, while necessary in some cases to provide context, is usually supercilious to the task at hand.

Limbaugh managed to swallow his pride and showed himself to be a man and a gentleman by doing so. Maher, by making excuses, showed himself to be something else entirely.

So somebody in the media gets it. It will not diminish the number of smart-ass high-schoolers such as Maher and Letterman and others but, maybe slowly, some media outlets are learning that the vast majority of America is really sick of teenagers delivering commentary.

Rush showed class last weekend. He clearly has a conscience and though I initially didn’t believe he should have apologized, I now understand why he did and it showed tremendous character and humility on his part. The contrast is exceptional.

The Daily Mail: Iran trying to build nuclear missiles capable of hitting London, Cameron warns MPs

By Jason Groves Mar 7 2012

Iran is developing nuclear missiles capable of hitting London, David Cameron warned yesterday.

In a chilling echo of the build-up to the war against Iraq, the Prime Minister suggested that the country’s drive to develop the bomb was potentially a direct threat to the UK.

He told MPs the Tehran government was trying to develop ‘intercontinental missiles’.

And he repeatedly stressed that ‘military action’ against Iran was not ‘off the table’.

‘It is also clearly very dangerous for the region because it would trigger a nuclear arms race but also it’s a danger more broadly, not least because there are signs that the Iranians want to have some sort of intercontinental missile capability. So we have to be clear this is potentially a threat much more widely.’

Tehran had previously been thought to have access only to medium-range missiles with a reach of about 1,500 miles.

Intercontinental missiles typically have a range of 3,500 miles or more – easily enough to cover the 2,740 miles from Tehran to London.

Mr Cameron’s warning is the first time a British minister has suggested Iran might be able to launch a direct attack on the UK mainland.

Uh oh, someone didn’t get the memo.

    From Milwaukee’s CBS 58 Television:

Union leader criticizes mining bill vote

Milwaukee – Lyle Balistreri wasn’t scheduled to speak during Wednesday night’s “Reclaim Wisconsin” rally at Serb Hall, but took the stage anyway to lash out against what he called the “ugly partisan politics” that led to the rejection of a mining permit bill.

He singled out the 16 senate democrats who voted no including Milwaukee State Senator Spencer Coggs who was also in attendance.

Balistreri represents more than 15-thousand construction trades workers in southeast Wisconsin, men and women who would have benefited from the mining reform bill.

For the Senate Democrats to vote against this bill is a sign that they’re not with us. They’re certainly not job creators, and in fact they’re job killers. And I’m sick and tired of the partisan politics in the State of Wisconsin. The working people in the state of are taking a beating. Democrats and Republicans are at each other’s throats, and this sort of thing has to stop,” said Balistreri. …

Oh, how did the mining company react?

The company that was hoping to build that mine now says it’s giving up all plans for Wisconsin.

Now remember the left is blaming the lack of job growth in Wisconsin on Republican Governor Scott Walker…

    • Rusty Shackleford says:

Most people I’ve met from (non-urban) Wisconsin do not suffer from “group-think” and therefore have a pretty level-headed approach to life. I’m pretty sure they don’t like the gibberish that the democrats are trying to feed them and are aware of the power takeover that the democrats have attempted.

America is waking up slowly. Many more people in this country are politically engaged than I have ever seen in my lifetime. Talk at work often now turns to the “idiot in the white house” and I just recently had dealings with a foreign national who confided in me that all over the US, he has yet to meet anyone who had anything good to say about Obama. So, that tells me that the polls that favor him are probably heavily “adjusted” or just flat out manufactured lies. I’m thinking the latter.

But when politicians stand so obviously in the way of jobs, that never bodes well for them.

What’s more interesting is reading the comments. Kirk Cameron stated his opinion homosexuality isn’t natural and is getting raked over the coals by this blogger and his commentators with the mentality that he may have had the freedom of speech to say his opinion, but they have the freedom of speech to show how many ways he’s wrong, with every “intellectual” justification possible.

It’s up to hundreds of comments now, and I keep thinking, if they were so sure Kirk was wrong they would have just dismissed his ideas; instead it’s more like they’re threatened and have to keep reassuring themselves he can’t be right.

AP: Yemen officials: US airstrikes hit al-Qaida area

    March 11, 2012 by |Ahmed Al-Haj

Yemeni military officials said Sunday that U.S. aircraft carried out four airstrikes[sic] in a southern province where al-Qaida-linked militants control several key towns.

There was no comment from U.S. officials.

In the past, U.S. warplanes have targeted leaders and facilities of al-Qaida in Yemen, considered one of its most dangerous branches.. Yemeni military officials attributed that attack on the U.S., saying the Yemeni military does not have the capacity to carry out nighttime airstrikes. The Yemeni officials spoke on condition of anonymity in line with military regulations.

More proof we are not training Yemeni soldiers. I still don’t get the Libya air-strikes and why Obama was impeached when he says Syria air-strikes would not be legal. Why not just say the revolutionary’s in Syria is al-Qaida and conservative muslim brotherhood who want jihad.

Jerusalem Post: PM: Iran owns and operates Islamic Jihad

    By Herb Keinon 03/12/2012

Islamic Jihad is a wholly owned Iranian subsidiary, so not only did the violence in the South not push Iran off the agenda, it instead thrust Iran front and center, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told the Likud’s cabinet ministers on Sunday.

“This is about Iran,” said Netanyahu. “If it were not for Iran, these extremists would not have their weapons, training or logistical support.”

Islamic Jihad, which has fired off the majority of the scores of rockets that have hit the South in recent days, is fully supported and armed by Tehran, he said.

Netanyahu told the ministers that this round of violence “could take some time.” He added that while Hamas was not joining in the firing on Israel, the movement was also not preventing the rocket attacks, and that Israel held them ultimately responsible.

One official said that despite over 150 rockets falling on the South over the last two days, there was no sense of hysteria – something giving the government maximum maneuverability in deciding how to respond.

“He was in the midst of planning another attack that was directed at our southern border with Egypt,” Netanyahu said.” We are still on alert regarding that attack and I have ordered the closure of the road on the Egyptian border.”

Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz, responding to the near universal praise of the Iron Dome, said that as effective as it was, it was an illusion to think Israel could fund the purchase of enough batteries to provide cover for the whole country.

New Egypt aiding Obama’s Muslim Spring II which comes before III.

The Iron Dome has stopped approx 45 of the ove 160 missles shot into Israel does not have enough batteries?

AP: Egypt parliament to consider cutting off US aid

March 11, 2012 by Hamza Hendawi

Egypt’s parliament moved Sunday toward a vote to order an end to more than $1 billion in U.S. aid, a reflection of tensions with Washington over the case of Americans charged with illegal activity by their pro-democracy groups.

The U.S. was angry enough over the charges against the American workers that it threatened to cut off aid to Egypt. The measure in the Islamist-dominated Egyptian parliament, probably just symbolic, showed that there is considerable anger in Cairo over charges that U.S. pressure led to interference in the judicial process.

Even if the chamber voted to reject U.S. aid, the move could amount to only a symbolic gesture, given the wide powers enjoyed by the generals, who collectively act as the presidency.

The exit of the American defendants set off a storm in Egypt, prompting many to accuse the ruling generals of bowing to U.S. pressure and intervening in the work of the judiciary.

Lawmakers said el-Ganzouri’s government should be replaced by a coalition that mirrors the makeup of the legislature, where Islamists hold more than 70 percent of the seats. The military rulers say only they have the right to dismiss the Cabinet.

A year ago starting with the muslim youth, they made it clear they wanted no help from U.S. in forming a new Democracy. They warned the U.S. over and over they did not want $money from the U.S. It’s a religous thing of accepting tainted money. Obama just won’t admit to failure.
