Recall Costs, Including Local Governments, Could Be In The Millions Of Dollars
Friday, November 18, 2011 Wisconsin State Journal http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/local/govt-and-politics/recall-costs-including-local-governments-could-be-in-the-millions/article_69cbfcce-1214-11e1-a4a9-001cc4c03286.html

At least $650,000 will be needed by state election officials to cover the costs of handling petitions for Wisconsin’s upcoming wave of recalls, according to a memo from the Government Accountability Board. But that estimate doesn’t include costs for local governments, which are expected to be in the millions statewide.”

The Judgment of King Solomon. The people who choose to destroy America, whenever there is a critical decision to be made: threaten to cut off social security payments to the elderly, force stimulus plans through or threaten collapse, ram a ridiculous health-care pay-off scam down the public’s throat–the hell with the consequences, expensive Governor recall elections in horrible economic times, tax-increase-or-NOTHING mentality, ARE ALWAYS DEMOCRATS! –America means nothing to them. It’s their way, or total destruction of the country. It’s the last arrow they have in their quiver. They can’t philosophize their way into power, so they lie, then cheat, then steal, then to avoid democratic debate, they threaten total destruction as a last resort—always the nuclear option for them.

The people who always back down to save the country, who let the democrats get what they want, so as to save money, cause less chaos, and balance reverse-gains vs. destruction of the entire country are almost always Republicans. They would rather give America to the democrats, rather than let it die over the latest political fight.

And yet again, the people who had the opportunity to do the right thing in regards to a Balanced Budget Amendment, failed again recently. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/nov/18/house-defeat-balanced-budget-amendment/

    Who really loves America?

Anchor off air for ‘flipping off’ Obama
    By Reuters

MOSCOW – A famous Russian TV anchor has been taken off the air for making an obscene gesture after mentioning U.S. President Barack Obama in a live newscast, the channel said on Thursday.

Tatiana Limanova, an award-winning journalist and host of a news show on the REN-TV private channel, waved her middle finger when presenting a story about the APEC summit in the United States, a moment after mentioning Obama…

…“The gesture was addressed to the members of the editing crew, there was no implication of any kind and it had no reference to the information delivered by Tatiana Limanova,” a spokesman for the TV station told Interfax.

Remember the good old days when Russian newspeople were supposed to diss US presidents…?

It does kind of make you wonder: If George W Bush were still president, would she be getting the Order of Lenin rather than the purple shaft?

While some in the media write with scotch in their tea over the rising Muslim Brotherhood……..

BBC: Egypt protests: Mass rally in Cairo ahead of election

    Nov 25 2011

Tens of thousands of protesters have packed into central Cairo’s Tahrir Square to demand that Egypt’s military rulers step aside.

The latest wave of protests has led to the worst violence since the fall of President Hosni Mubarak in February. More than 40 people have been killed.

One influential group, the Muslim Brotherhood – which is expected to do well in the vote – is not supporting the Tahrir Square protests.

“The United States strongly believes that the new Egyptian government must be empowered with real authority immediately,” a White House statement said.

The Tahrir Square rally follows Friday prayers as well as a week of protests.

Tens of thousands took part in what organisers had called a “last chance Friday” rally to demand an immediate transfer of power by the military.

The vendors selling tea and toffee apples are again doing an excellent trade in Cairo’s Tahrir Square, lending a festive atmosphere to this demonstration”

The military council has apologised[sic] for the deaths of protesters, but insisted that parliamentary polls would start on Monday as scheduled.

…..others have a sobering Muslim black Friday reporting

    The National Post

Before the current clashes between protesters and the military in Egypt, Israel’s relations with the country had deteriorated following the ouster of former dictator Hosni Mubarak.

Peter Goodspeed, National Post; Reuters · Nov. 24, 2011

Also on Wednesday, Israel’s Minister for Civil Defence, Matan Vilnai, told Israel’s Army Radio that security experts expect a “grave erosion” of Israel’s 32year-old peace treaty with Egypt if the Muslim Brotherhood makes major gains in Egypt’s upcoming elections.

“The picture is quite clear,” he said. “We’ve been saying it for months. What we call the Muslim Brotherhood will ultimately be the majority in all the [Egyptian] institutions and once the regime stabilizes, as we expect it to do, we expect that there will be a grave erosion of this agreement. We have to prepare for such a situation.”

Israeli and Egyptian militaries learned to co-operate with each other and shared an interest in guarding the border and limiting the influence of Hamas in Gaza.

But relations have already deteriorated sharply since the ousting of former dictator Hosni Mubarak in February. Arab terrorists have launched cross-border attacks into Israel from the Sinai and repeatedly blown up an Egyptian pipeline that carries natural gas to Israel and Jordan. In September, a Cairo mob stormed and destroyed Israel’s Egyptian embassy.

“Islamist parties – led by the Muslin Brotherhood but not exclusively – could be a dominant political bloc.”

“There is political capital to be made in saying, ‘We’re going to take a tougher position toward Israel,'” Mr. Makovsky said.

Israel has already braced for change by doubling up its military deployments along the Sinai and accelerating construction of a $400-million, five-metre-tall security fence along 240 kilometres of the Egyptian border.

“It looks like it is going to be a long Arab Winter,” said Moshe Arens, a former Israeli defence and foreign minister.

“… We should have expected nothing else.”

Obama must be having a wonderful thank allah giving.
