Shoppers wait their turn get their pictures taken with Gadhafi’s bloody body stashed in commercial freezer

The Guardian: Gadhafi body stashed in shopping center freezer

AP MISRATA, Libya (AP) — Moammar Gadhafi’s blood-streaked body was stashed in a commercial freezer at a shopping center Friday as Libyans waited in line outside for a chance to see him and authorities tried to figure out where to bury the longtime dictator.

But the interim government delayed it, saying the circumstances of his death still had to be determined.

The body, stripped to the waist and wearing beige trousers, was laid on a bloodied mattress on the floor of an emptied-out room-sized freezer where restaurants and stores in the center normally keep perishables.

Outside the shopping center, residents waited in line for their chance enter the freezer and have their picture taken with Gadhafi’s body.

Different visiting hours have been set for women and children and for men.

“More details are needed to ascertain whether he was killed in some form of fighting or was executed after his capture,” said Rupert Colville, a spokesman for the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights, calling the images of Gadhafi’s last moments very disturbing.

The young men screaming “Moammar, you dog!” beat the confused-looking Gadhafi, who wipes at blood covering the left side of his head and neck and left shoulder.

Gadhafi gestures to the young men to be patient, and says “What’s going on?” as he wipes fresh blood from his temple and glances at his palm.

A young fighter later is shown carrying a boot and screaming, “This is Moammar’s shoe! This is Moammar’s shoe! Victory! Victory!”

Yet, he is seen upright, talking and has the strength to struggle back, and there is no blood on his chest or belly.

Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril gave a different account Thursday, saying the fatal wounds were suffered later, when Gadhafi had been taken to the ambulance.

Many Libyans awoke after a night of jubilant celebration and celebratory gunfire with hope for the future but also concern that their new rulers, the National Transitional Council, might repeat the mistakes of the past.

One group of men danced and hoisted the country’s new tricolor flag, chanting slogans against Syrian President Bashar Assad, who also faces an uprising against his rule as part of the Arab Spring that has also seen the leaders of Egypt and Tunisia ousted.

“Zenga, zenga, dar, dar” is Arabic for “alley by alley, house by house,” a phrase used by Gadhafi in his last months in power, referring to how his forces would hunt down those who rose up against him.

Gamel reported from Tripoli. AP Hadeel al-Shalchi in Cairo contributed to this report.

HILARIOUS! Occupy Wall Street FIGHTING OVER MONEY!
    http://www.nypost.com/p/news/l.....FYkafMb8UJ

All it took to screw the whole thing up, was a little bit of money, which grew a little bit of government, which grew a little bit of corruption!

Gee, isn’t this just a little bit of irony!

Can we somehow figure out how to co-opt OWS and turn it into a crash course on common sense for unprogramming Marxist drones? This is probably the best education on the mechanics of real life human nature and how social collectivism fails and collapses into mob tyranny that they’ve ever gotten.

Uh-oh! More unexpected consequences from government good intentions. –gee, we have only seen that a few hundred thousand times.

Is the new iconic image of Barack Obama, the Grim Reaper with the Nobel Peace Prize around his neck? –Just in time for Halloween!

And now for something a little different -from Reuters:

TSA worker fired for leaving note in luggage
    By REUTERS

The Transportation Security Administration said it decided to fire a screener at New Jersey’s Newark Airport who left a handwritten note in a female passenger’s luggage after finding a personal item inside.

The TSA said it investigated the incident after the passenger, Jill Filipovic, posted on Twitter and in her blog, Feministe, a photograph of the “Notice of Inspection” she found in her luggage earlier this week.

The TSA said it places the notices in checked bags if they are required to be searched. The single page notice advises the recipient that their baggage has been inspected by the TSA.

Written in capital letters along the side of the notice was the message, “GET YOUR FREAK ON GIRL,” an apparent suggestion about how to use the personal item.

In her blog, Filipovic, a New York lawyer, wrote, “This is what TSA will do when they inspect a bag you checked and find a, um, ’personal item.’”

She also wrote, “Total violation of privacy, wildly inappropriate and clearly not OK, but I also just died laughing in my hotel room.”

It’s interesting that for all the outrage of the citizenry over TSA practices, this is what they wind up disciplining someone over.
    Note that:
    A) There was never a formal complaint made. In fact, the “victim” got a good laugh out of it -in spite of it being “wildly inappropriate” (which it was -along with being completely unprofessional).
    B) We have no idea if the TSA agent was male or female -and it really shouldn’t matter -but obviously it’s a question that bears asking in these PC times.
