I caught the end of an interview on FOX of Senator Jim Inhofe (R) OK being first Senator to see “photo”s of
Osama bin Laden dead. Unbelievable, that all the Senators were not all able to see them immediately.

Here’s an interview where Inhofe says they should be made more available. He describes photo in compound with lot of internal parts of the brain coming out of the skull and other out of the socket and all I recall this link to interview tells.

Inhofe says he believes at least 2 photos after he is cleaned up and most recognizable should be released to public.

I really think he’d make a great president. Inhofe is the one that spent years proving man made global warming was a hoax. He has been called one of the worst names a politician has ever been called by the Democrats. His letter in regards to Obama’s farce trip to El Paso on immigration, Obama won’t lower gas.

    Dear Friends,

This week, I became the first U.S. Senator to view the death photos of Osama bin Laden after CIA Director Leon Panetta granted my request to make the photos available to members of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) and Intel Committee. As an elected official and senior ranking member of the SASC, it is my job to validate the death of bin Laden to the people of this nation and answer questions from anyone who doubts that he is dead. The photos confirmed what I already knew based on private conversations with members of our nation’s military: Osama bin Laden is dead.

Following President Obama’s recent speech in El Paso, Tex. on immigration reform, I found his speech to be nothing more than pure politics in order to garner support for his 2012 reelection bid. If immigration reform was a top priority, then Obama should have acted during his first two years in office when liberals had the super majority in Congress. Instead, Obama focused solely on advancing his widely unpopular socialist agenda, including Obamacare and reckless government spending items.

As gas prices continue to soar, I have continued to lead the fight against President Obama and Democrats and their proposed legislation to once again raise taxes on oil and gas companies. It’s not surprising that the Obama administration has no intention on lowering gas prices, especially as his own Secretary of Energy Stephen Chu has made this clear saying, “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.” It is essential that conservatives stop this from happening and start encouraging the production of energy that will create more jobs, more energy, more security, and most importantly a stronger economy.

Lastly, U.S. Rep. Lucas (R-OK-3) joined my efforts to press the U.S. Air Force for further details following last week’s announcement of a preferred consolidation of the Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals’ (IFF) training units that would eliminate IFF at Vance Air Force Base (AFB) in Enid, Okla. In response, we sent a letter to the Air Force questioning the cost-analysis and efficiency that this proposed consolidation would actually achieve.

    Chris Christie, Fake Conservative

I was very surprised last night to find out that the New Jersey Governor has refused to join 27 other states to block Obama-Scare, that he’s a cap and trade advocate, and his union face-off was basically Kabuki theater. Check this out:

Now I understand why Joe Scarborough, Mika, and the rest of the Morning Joe crew loves him so much. He’s a complete fraud. We must inform other conservatives ASAP.

    • proreason says:

Ann Coulter supports Christie. That counts for a lot in my book.

Our objective has to be to defeat the most dangerous person in the last 80 years, whatever it takes.

When the barbarians are at the top of the wall, it’s not the time to reject warriors who are volunteering to man the ramparts. Clearly, Christie has a powerful voice even if he, like all of the candidates, has done or said some things that we would reject in a perfect world. Now, if he, like Mittetoast, decides to loudly defend his past love for cap and trade as vehemently as Mitt defends romneycare, I would say it’s time to say bye bye to Chris. So far, we don’t know if Chris would do that. In any evernt, rejecting him should be based on what Christie says, not a website slam that could come from the marxists themselves for all we know.

Until and unless a candidate refuses to point out the obvious dangers with Spike’s team, or personally advocates a key position that is totally unacceptable, I’m just not willing to reject him or her. My fondest wish is that we could have 20 candidates with a variety of positions who unanimously describe at full volume how Spike’s team is ruining the country. That’s the only thing that will cut through the marxist propaganda death star. And I want someone as articulate as Christie on that team, whether he ends up as the guy or not.

NYT: Indian and Afghan Leaders Forge Deeper Ties in Meeting

By Alissa J. Rubin and Sangar Rahmi May 12, 2011

    KABUL, Afghanistan — …

It subsequently emerged that Pakistani officials had also suggested to the Afghan officials that they move closer to China, implicitly lessening their reliance on the United States, and turn more to Pakistan for military support like training the Afghan Army.

At almost the same time as the leaders were meeting, British soldiers in Helmand Province were playing soccer with Afghan federal police officers in a game that turned deadly after a dispute, said the Helmand police chief, Mohammed Hakim Angaar. One of the officers picked up a gun and shot at the soldiers, killing at least one of them and wounding three, General Angaar said.

An Afghan employee of The New York Times contributed reporting from Helmand Province.

VOA: Russia Courts Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central Asia

    James Brooke | Moscow May 12, 2011

With the death of Osama bin Laden, Russia is reaching out to Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central Asia in an effort to keep Islamic radicalism out of Russia’s southern flank.

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari was quoted telling Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, “Our countries are very close neighbors, we are located in the same region, and although we do not share borders, our hearts beat in unison.”

The blossoming Russia-Pakistan relationship comes on the heels of reports that Russia is negotiating to place 3,000 Russian border troops on Tajikstan’s border with Afghanistan.

In recent months, President Medvedev twice hosted Afghan President Hamid Karzai in Russia.

“There is an acute fear that Afghanistan will not be stable after the American and other forces leave. And that it will eventually collapse into some sort of near civil war…,” said Konstanin Von Eggert, a Russian world affairs analyst, who tracks the Kremlin’s turnaround.

With Pakistan, Russia is signing new trade and aid agreements, including a plan to modernize a Soviet era steel plant in Pakistan. As the American killing of Osama bin Laden strains relations with the United States, Pakistan’s president is offering Russia a special relationship, saying in one interview,“Tsarist Russia was dreaming about getting access to the southern seas.”

Russia’s fear is that an accelerated American withdrawal could bring the Taliban to the gates of Central Asia, an area that Russia wants to see free of Islamic radicalism. Von Eggert says that the 10 million Central Asians who work in Russia could serve as a pipeline for extremist views to Russia’s Muslim minority.

Hekmat Karzai, cousin of the Afghan president, talked to VOA in Moscow this week. “A lot of our military were trained by the Soviet Union. So that kind of training and that kind of capacity can be increased,” he said.

    Interesting entire article at link.

Karzai days are numbered. With the death attempts on he and his right hand men by al-Qaeda, he’s traveling and graveling his way around the globe. Worked so hard to get elected, only now the deadly smell of another coupe. ‘Are thy my brother’s keeper?’ he begs his rotten corrupt brother?

  5. proreason says:

Mark Steyn went long today, and Mittetoast suffers the consequences.

” The inflationary factor in Massachusetts health care was not caused by deadbeats’ using emergency rooms as their family doctor but by the metastasizing cost distortions of government intervention in health care: Mitt should have known that — just as he should know that government intervention in college loans has absurdly inflated the cost of ludicrously overvalued credentials and, in a broader sense, helped debauch America’s human capital. And just as he should know that government intervention in the mortgage market is why every day more and more American homeowners are drowning in negative equity.”

    and a bit later

“If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem. Romneycare is not part of the solution; it embodies the problem. If Mitt Romney cannot recognize that, it’s unlikely that he’s the guy to pull American politics back into a passing acquaintance with reality.”

    more brilliant even than usual.

The key point, in case you miss it, is that romneycare is a symptom of an even bigger problem…the inability of big government to correct itself. By defending it, Mitt makes the mistake of defending the symptoms of cancer. If he can do that, he can’t be our guy, no matter how smart and pretty he is.

    • Rusty Shackleford says:

Mark is a brilliant wordsmith. To that end, he can take complex ideas and bring up a metaphor that everyone/anyone can understand. He takes the seemingly intangible things and makes them tangible. I love it when he sits in for Rush. I have wondered, sometimes, if we are seeing the dawn of a time when truth-speakers like Mark and Rush are finally given their due.

As for Romney, when I heard his defense of “what the people wanted” I wasn’t buying it. It disgusted me. On the one hand, it can be said that maybe he acquiesced to the ideas of some of the state’s loonies. It’s unthinkable that a majority wanted to be burdened with the cost of paying for everyone else’s healthcare. Western Massachusetts is more conservative than many people might realize. Additionally, Boston is but one, large Northeastern city, not too different from NYC or Chicago in that it has a huge segment of its population on the public dime. That has a tendency to skew the numbers badly.

The majority of this nation knew a national healthcare system was bad, not just a bad idea. Most Americans do not embrace bureaucracy and they can easily draw a parallel between how they are treated at the DMV and how the NHS would treat them, based on enough personal experience to leave a very bad taste.

Mitt cannot defend his choice. Healthcare like that fails in the small scale, will fail on the large scale, fails on any scale. His inability to recognize that makes him voluntarily ignorant. Willfully stupid.

Huck knows how ugly this one is going to become. Marxists on the ramparts aren’t going to go down without throwing all of their boiling oil on the rubes who dare to defy them.

Why would he want to make his sincerely-held religious views the center of a smear campaign? The willingness to do that takes more fire in the belly than he has at the moment. Besides there are at least 4 other ex-governors running or close to running whose records are similar to his.

I hope he decides to step up and be one of the anti-Spike gattling barrels. He’s a good talker and reaches a segment of Americans that nobody else reaches as well as he does.

I think his endorsements of candidates per commericals and pre-recorded phone calls as to which Republican to support may have affected some conservatives opinion of him. Did me.

However, at least we got to hear Huckabee the last few years, because Matt Romney has been so quiet.
At least Sara Palin gave us a conservative voice in the media.

Rueters: Exclusive: Pornography found in bin Laden hideout: officials

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A stash of pornography was found in the hideout of Osama bin Laden by the U.S. commandos who killed him, current and former U.S. officials said on Friday.

Three other U.S. officials familiar with evidence gathered during investigations of other Islamic militants said the discovery of pornography is not uncommon in such cases.

NYT: Pornography Is Found in Bin Laden Compound Files, U.S. Officials Say
    By Scott Shane/ May 13, 2011

WASHINGTON — The enormous cache of computer files taken from Osama bin Laden’s compound contained a considerable quantity of pornographic videos,…

In a 2002 “letter to the American people,” Bin Laden denounced American culture…

“Your nation exploits women…, yet in reality all they have liberated is your sexual desire.”

A team of intelligence analysts under the C.I.A.’s direction has been working to review the material…

Asked about the contents in an interview with Bloomberg Television, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. said, “I’m not sure we have any plot” that the intelligence review had found.

“On the other hand, he did seem to have a goal around the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11,” Mr. Holder said.

But the Obama administration also released unflattering video footage of a gray-bearded Bin Laden,..

Also on Friday, Jay Carney, the White House spokesman, confirmed that American interrogators had questioned Bin Laden’s three wives for the first time on Thursday,…

The three widows, …, had been held and questioned for days by Pakistani officials before the C.I.A. interrogators spoke to them…

Oh no. Maybe those airline pilots didn’t get virgins because they trimmed their beards, which is not allowed.

And Obama did not insist to question OBL’s 3 wives when Pakistan authorities have had them all this time to get theirs and their neighbors stories straight.
Oh that’s right. Obama had a celebrity roast to go to after he announced OBL was dead.

NY Daily News: NYPD arrests 2 Queens terror suspects, charged with plot to hit NYC synagogues with grenades, guns

BY Rocco Parascandola, Alison Gendar and Bill Hutchinson 13 May 2011

Two anti-Semitic “lone wolves” planned to dress up as Hasidic Jews and slaughter worshipers at city synagogues – after selling guns and drugs to finance the diabolical plot, cops said.

Cops say the ringleader, Algerian-born Ahmed Ferhani, 27, who sought asylum here with his family in 1999, also fantasized about blowing up the Empire State Building and a Queens church.

Ferhani enlisted a Moroccan pal, Mohamed Mamdouh, 20, in a plan to sneak into “a major synagogue in Manhattan” disguised in Orthodox-style beards and side curls to plant a bomb.

“He was committed to violent jihad, and his plan became bigger and more violent with each passing week,” Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. said.

“There’s no way they could be terrorists. They are too stupid,” said a neighbor of Ferhani in Whitestone. “Him and his brother are always out in the street smoking pot and fighting.”

No specific synagogue was targeted and the plot was still in its early planning stages, Mayor Bloomberg said.

Ferhani and Mamdouh were nailed in a sting operation after being caught on wiretaps discussing the plot – hatched months ago before the death of Osama Bin Laden.

They made arrangements with an undercover NYPD cop – a foreign-born officer trained outside the Police Academy – to pay $700 for two Browning .380 semiautomatic pistols, a 9-mm. Smith & Wesson handgun, a grenade and ammo.

I have noticed that the prices of some fruits and vegetables have been lower the last couple of weeks. Hopefully that’s not just seasonal because, the way things were going the last few months we would need Obamy to interefere, in between tokes, assassinations, lying and pansy golf, with the food markets and create a 2,000+ page law by affirmative action lawyers to regulate food.

Philly Police Harass, Threaten to Shoot Man Legally Carrying Gun

    by John Stossel | May 16, 2011

A story in today’s Philadelphia Daily News shows why it’s so important that citizens be allowed to videotape cops – it can be citizens’ only way to fight back against police abuse of power.

This incident happened several weeks ago in Philadelphia to Mark Fiorino, a 25-year-old IT worker who carries a gun on his hip at all times for self defense. He got the gun after several friends were mugged.

But he didn’t count on attacks by police:

On a mild February afternoon, Fiorino, 25, decided to walk to an AutoZone on Frankford Avenue in Northeast Philly with the .40-caliber Glock he legally owns holstered in plain view on his left hip. His stroll ended when someone called out from behind: “Yo, Junior, what are you doing?”

Fiorino wheeled and saw Sgt. Michael Dougherty aiming a handgun at him.

What happened next would be hard to believe, except that Fiorino audio-recorded all of it: a tense, profanity-laced, 40-minute encounter with cops who told him that what he was doing – openly carrying a gun on the city’s streets – was against the law.

“Do you know you can’t openly carry here in Philadelphia?” Dougherty asked, according to the YouTube clip.

“Yes, you can, if you have a license to carry firearms,” Fiorino said. “It’s Directive 137. It’s your own internal directive.”

Fiorino was right. It was perfectly legal to carry the gun. But that didn’t matter to the cop:

1 in 5 of latest ObamaCare waivers went to Nancy Pelosi’s district?

May 17, 2011 by Ed Morrissey

Well, to be fair, Nancy Pelosi did warn us that we wouldn’t find out what was in ObamaCare until Congress passed it into law. Now we know what’s in it — political payoffs on an almost, er, Biblical scale:

Of the 204 new Obamacare waivers President Barack Obama’s administration approved in April, 38 are for fancy eateries, hip nightclubs and decadent hotels in House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s Northern California district.

That’s in addition to the 27 new waivers for health care or drug companies and the 31 new union waivers Obama’s Department of Health and Human Services approved.

Pelosi’s district secured almost 20 percent of the latest issuance of waivers nationwide, and the companies that won them didn’t have much in common with companies throughout the rest of the country that have received Obamacare waivers.

Other common waiver recipients were labor union chapters, large corporations, financial firms and local governments. But Pelosi’s district’s waivers are the first major examples of luxurious, gourmet restaurants and hotels getting a year-long pass from Obamacare.
Seems Nancy doesn’t know the difference between those who need and those who greed.

Osama Bin Laden’s post-humous pre re-recorded audio praises Egypt and Tunishia

The Kansas City Star: Obama will call for billions in aid to Egypt and Tunisia

By Margaret Talev may 18 2011
    McClatchy Newspapers

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama will use his speech to the Arab world Thursday to call for billions of dollars in financial assistance to Egypt and Tunisia as part of a comprehensive approach to the “Arab Spring” movement that he hopes will boost democratic reforms and America’s reputation in the region.

The aid package, which would unfold over two to three years, would include an estimated $1 billion in debt cancellation, $1 billion in loan guarantees and several billion more in financing from multilateral institutions such as the World Bank, according to three senior administration officials who briefed reporters on the condition of anonymity under ground rules set by the White House.

Obama is betting that the time may be ripe for a new American outreach to the region after U.S. forces killed Osama bin Laden, whose terrorist tactics weren’t embraced by the Muslim youth backing the “Arab Spring” revolts against autocratic governments.

It comes as Obama prepares to travel to Europe next week, with stops that include a G-8 summit in France, where he and other world leaders will discuss the Arab Spring.
president hosted Jordan’s King Abdullah II.

The aid previewed Wednesday would finance infrastructure and private-sector job creation, aiming to help stabilize countries by giving young adults more opportunity.

By focusing on Tunisia and Egypt, where uprisings swept longtime rulers from power in recent months, Obama wants to “empower positive models of change,” one official said, and create a “positive incentive for others in the region who also are working on the reform agenda.”

In shaping his approach, the officials said, the president looked to successful transitions to democracy after World War II…

White House press secretary Jay Carney said the president saw the Arab Spring as “a moment of opportunity” for the United States to recast its strategy in the region,…

Andrew Exum, a fellow at the Center for a New American Security and a former Army Ranger and civilian adviser to Gen. Stanley McChrystal,
said Obama couldn’t talk credibly to Arabs about the uprisings without addressing the need for an Israeli-Palestinian deal.

Aaron David Miller, a Middle East scholar at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington and adviser to six administrations, said of Obama and the Arab Spring: “This is his 3 a.m. phone call, the first real-time foreign policy crisis this administration confronted.

On Sunday, thousands of unarmed Palestinian refugees living in Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan tried to cross the military borders of Israel…..

The protests were timed for the anniversary of Israel’s founding, or as Arabs call it, Youm an-Nakba, “the Day of the Catastrophe.”

Now, with the Arab Spring at Israel’s doorstep, the dynamics of the Middle East are changing fast.

Many of the roughly 700,000 Palestinian refugees living in Arab states see the potential to use peaceful means to return to their ancestral land, tapping social-networking tools such as Facebook to organize protests such as Sunday’s march to the Israeli borders.

But there’s one problem. They must stay true to the two basic principles of the Arab Spring, best expressed in Egypt’s revolution: the use of nonviolent tactics and the idea that democracy should rise above religious or ethnic differences.

That question is even more troublesome the longer Israel retains control over the growing Palestinian population on the West Bank.

Universal values such as democracy and nonviolence as expressed in the Arab uprisings are now challenging both Palestinians and Israelis in coming to terms with each other.

The spirit of the Arab Spring has created a new narrative for Israelis and Palestinians….
The protesters in Cairo’s Tahrir Square were able to do it.

Palestine being unarmed, peaceful, except a few rocks. They must be getting 3rd hand news, or some pinkie is writing for them. Sinful.

Muslim Terrorist network in Washington found when bomb builder blows his legs off.

The Seattle Times: Man injured in bomb blast suspected of terrorism ties

By Mike Carter May 13 2011

Joseph Jeffrey Brice, 21, is accused of creating a jihadi website and using it to post bomb-making tips and videos, according to federal sources and documents filed in U.S. District Court in Spokane.

Members of the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force executed several search warrants last week on homes and cars owned or associated with Brice, of Clarkston, who earlier this week was indicted by a Spokane grand jury for manufacturing a powerful improvised explosive device… whose premature detonation nearly killed him in April 2010.

The warrants allege Brice set up a YouTube channel under the pseudonym “…” and posted videos of explosions and jihad-related content.

Brice also allegedly planned through email with an unidentified man to rob a Zions First National Bank in Lewiston, Idaho, possibly using a bomb left on nearby school grounds to distract police.

Agents also found links to an English-language magazine sponsored by al-Qaida. They discovered videos Brice posted to a forum depicting suicide bombings in Pakistan, and also links he accessed to an English-language jihadi-linked site that contains instructions on how to make explosives, according to the search warrants.

The warrants say Brice found an FBI tracking device hidden on his car in February, a month after a backpack bomb was found hidden along the parade route of Spokane’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration. “For some reason they have singled out myself,” he posted on another YouTube channel.

A known white supremacist, Kevin Harpham, has been charged in that incident.

Brice allegedly attempted to obtain several false identifications, at one point complaining via email to the Dubai, United Arab Emirates, police that a local company had failed to send the fake ID he had paid for.

He also opened email and PayPal accounts using the name of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh, according to the warrant.

Based on his postings, FBI bomb technicians believe Brice was constructing sophisticated and powerful explosive devices, including the one that nearly blew his legs off last April.

“That bomb was massive, though,” Brice wrote in a text message to a friend. “Launched me like ten feet and I have crazy scars.”

The Times Leader: AP: Pakistan fires at a NATO copter
Country’s military also says it arrested a senior al-Qaida operative in southern city.
    Chris Brummitt May 18 2011

ISLAMABAD — Pakistan’s military said Tuesday its ground forces exchanged fire with a NATO helicopter in another possible flashpoint with Washington, but also claimed it arrested a senior al-Qaida operative after U.S. demands for “actions, not words” to restore trust.

It did not say when he was arrested, but noted it was in the southern city of Karachi, where several other top al-Qaida leaders have been detained since 2001.

PEW POLL: Obama’s Arab Spring Fails. Muslim countries “dislike” of Obama’s U.S. at an all time height.

PewResearch: Arab Spring Fails to Improve U.S. Image
Obama’s Challenge in the Muslim World

    May 17, 2011

As President Obama prepares to make a major address on the tumultuous changes spreading throughout the Middle East, a new survey finds that the rise of pro-democracy movements has not led to an improvement in America’s image in the region. Instead, in key Arab nations and in other predominantly Muslim countries, views of the U.S. remain negative, as they have been for nearly a decade. Indeed, in Jordan, Turkey and Pakistan, views are even more negative than they were one year ago.

With the exception of Indonesia, Obama remains unpopular in the Muslim nations polled,…

The survey, conducted by the Pew Research Center’s Global Attitudes Project March 21-April 26, suggests the enthusiasm for democracy displayed by protestors in Tunisia, Egypt and elsewhere is consistent with public opinion in majority Muslim nations.

(The survey was conducted prior to the May 2 death of Osama bin Laden, as well as the April 27 agreement between Hamas and Fatah to form a unity government in the Palestinian territories.)

There is no country in which a majority rates the radical Palestinian organization Hamas positively — still, it receives considerable support in Jordan and Egypt.

Palestinian Muslims, however, remain an outlier on this question: 68% say suicide attacks in defense of Islam can often or sometimes be justified, a level of support essentially unchanged from 2007. And in Egypt, support for suicide bombing is actually on the rise — currently, 28% believe it can be justified, up from 8% in 2007.

Globes Israels Business Arena: Russians wanted IDF attaché as double agent

    May 19 2011

A day after the gag order was lifted over Russia’s expulsion of Israel’s military attaché, IDF Colonel Vadim Leiderman, on allegations of espionage, new reports claim that Russian intelligence tried to recruit him as a double agent. The Russians reportedly tried to pressure Leiderman with evidence that he collected classified intelligence. Leiderman refused to cooperate and was therefore expelled.

Hebrew daily “Ma’ariv” reports that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin personally approved Col. Leiderman’s arrest and expulsion.

The background for Leiderman’s expulsion is not clear, but he was involved in promoting Israeli-Russian defense deals. Israel and Russia are due to shortly sign a military cooperation agreement as a platform for the pending deals. An agreement has been delayed because of US pressure on Israel not to sell advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) developed by Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI) (TASE: ARSP.B1) to Russia, which angered the Russians.

The Christian Post: 66 Killed in Taliban Violence in Afghanistan, Pakistan
    By Asher John May 19 2011 |

“A large group of Taliban attacked a road construction company in Paktia province,” said Paktia provincial spokesman Rohullah Samoon. “Thirty-five guards and staff of the company were killed and 20 were injured.

“We don’t know why they attacked us… they are doing this to prevent reconstruction in Afghanistan.”

The militants have made Afghan government projects a prime target in a bid to undermine the authority of President Hamid Karzai’s administration and have repeatedly kidnapped foreign road construction workers from camps in the past.

The attack comes a few weeks after the Taliban announced the start of their annual spring offensive at the end of April.

“the Taliban announced the start of their annual spring offensive at the end of April.”

Someone needs to tell the Taliban terrorists, that Obama is celebrating it as the Arab Spring.
