Obama & Hillary reach out to Iran, forget sanctions that never happened. Longer VISA’s and greater coming and going to U.S. & freedom in traveling. The timing of Obama embracing Iran; the US & Israel’s greatest enemy cuts too deep, and jeopardizes the U.S.

Reuters: U.S. revises visa policy in gesture to Iranians

    By Arshad Mohammed
    May 20, 2011

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Some Iranian students may seek two-year, multiple-entry U.S. visas, the State Department said on Friday, giving them greater freedom to travel to the United States in a gesture to improve people-to-people ties.

The step is the latest in a series by President Barack Obama’s administration to reach out to the Iranian people and, in particular, to young Iranians despite the long enmity between the two countries.

Students from Iran, which the United States accuses of seeking nuclear weapons, sponsoring terrorism and brutally repressing its people, previously were eligible only for three-month, single-entry visas.

Under the revised policy, the visas could be valid for two years and allow Iranian students to come and go as often as they wished in that period without applying for a new visa.

“We want more dialogue and more exchange with those of you who are shaping Iran’s future,” Clinton said in the message, which the State Department said was posted on Youtube in both English and Farsi.

Obama’s efforts to persuade Iran to cease its suspected pursuit of nuclear arms have so far failed and he has led a push to tighten U.S. and international sanctions on Tehran.

I am very pleased to announce a big step forward in the Obama Administration’s support of the Iranian people.

Because as long as the Iranian government continues to stifle your potential, we will stand with you. We will support your aspirations, and your rights. And we will continue to look for new ways to fuel more opportunities for real change in Iran. Thank you.

    • canary says:

Obama & Hillary’s stupidity just led to the immediate arrest of 30 people accused of being American spys.
Soliciting them to come with carte blanch VISA’s to learn to lead a coup in Iran, saying they could leave and visit Iran freely for 2 years was insane. Hillary is not just a liar, but the strain over the years, has now led to her insanity. Yes, Hillary we think you were crazy to plan a wedding and do your job. And
her following Obama’s footsteps can’t be helping her daughter’s marriage. No wonder the groom insisted the vows also be done according to Jewish tradition. Is he still on leave from his job and snow sking without his new wife?

U.S. Grants Asylum to Chavez Opponent

by Miriam Jordan and Darcy Crowe, 19 May 2011

The U.S. on Wednesday granted political asylum to a Venezuelan banker who opposed the government of Hugo Chavez, a move likely to further erode relations between Washington and Caracas.

Judge Lourdes Martinez-Esquivel approved asylum for Eligio Cedeño in a Miami immigration court….

Mr. Cedeño, 46 years old, was imprisoned for 34 months without trial by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez beginning in 2007 on charges that he violated currency regulations. A Venezuelan judge released Mr. Cedeño … calling his detention arbitrary and unlawful. Mr. Cedeño went into hiding and fled to Florida the same month.

    * * * His lawyer said Mr. Cedeño financed opposition leaders who were a threat to Mr. Chavez.

“The decision is objective proof that Eligio Cedeño was a political prisoner,” said Victor Cerda, his immigration attorney. “Contrary to President Chavez’s assertions, he is not a criminal.”

    * * *

His case gave ammunition to Mr. Chavez’s opponents arguing that Venezuelan courts were at the service of the president.

The matter took a strange twist in 2009 when Judge Maria Afiuni ruled Mr. Cedeño should be freed pending trial.

Mr. Chavez soon after went on national television and said measures should be taken against the judge. He said that she had likely been bribed to release Mr. Cedeño and that she should be sentenced to 30 years in jail.

Ms. Afiuni, who has denied the charges, was then jailed … awaiting trial on corruption charges, including abuse of power and complicity in a prison escape.

“His case shows there is no justice system left in Venezuela under Chavez,” said Robert Amsterdam, a London-based lawyer who was on a legal team that tried to secure Mr. Cedeño’s release.

Currency regulations … arbitrary and unlawful government actions … targeting banker who financed the opposition … the president denouncing an incorruptible judge on national television … phony charges … abuse of power … no justice system….

It all sounds vaguely familiar. So Alinsky-esque.

No doubt the Venezuelan system has lots of empathy though. Chock full to the brim and overflowing with empathy.

It will indeed be a shame if this asylum decision strains US relations with Venezuela. Perhaps we can make amends. I know … perhaps we could send Hugo Chavez a stack of DVDs from the White House gift shop? Or name a ship after him — the USS Hugo Chavez?

    Clearly something must be done.

Krauthammer desperately trying to kill the Cain boomlet before it gets a head of steam.

The Ruling Class always tells us who they fear.

My opinion of Cain is growing, and this is the reason. If he is pissing off the Washington elite, that’s enough for me. Why wouldn’t a highly placed executive with two major multi-national corporations, who then branched out and led his own successful business be able to go a better job than 98% of Washington elites? Cain started as an analyst for the Dept of Navy. He has degrees in mathematics and computer science. He was chairman of the Federal Reserve Board in Kansas City. He has a successful radio career. THIS guy isn’t serious? Jeez, if someone hasnt wallowed in the DC cesspool for decades, CK and the ilk will never give him credit for anything. And I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but he’s a member of the elite’s approved race…not a pretend member based on lies, but a real member. Give him 15% of the black vote for that alone. And what conservative or Republican wouldn’t vote for him if he is nominated, other than CK, George Will and 200 of their best cocktail party buddies?

Maybe it’s time we elect somebody who doesn’t know everything that is impossible in Washington…because everything that is impossible is what is destroying our country.

Somehow, I don’t think I’m a lone ranger about this matter.

    • tranquil.night says:

CK will kill his media career first. He might still come around, the Ruling Class Republicans are just gonna have to be dragged until they see and believe. I think it’s already happening; no matter what strings they pull through their own media apparatchiks, they can’t get the public narrative excited about their candaditates. All the energy is with the grassroots.

We’ve discussed Cain before and are definitely holding him as a grassroots front-runner. We predicted his surge following the debate and Trump’s explosion. I even said I liked Trump’s candidacy because of how it legitimized the businessman/political outsider mold as a serious contender, which would help Cain.

We also discussed his slight and perhaps only weakness, which seems to be Foreign Policy, to which guys like Doc and us recommended he bone up because Spike is making it the focal point of his regime while the systematic Domestic destruction continues. So far Cain’s seemed a little defensive on that point, but he’s a very smart man and certainly has the fire in the belly, so I’d be very surprised to see it conquer him.

    • canary says:

Herman Cain is doing an excellent job of standing up to Obama and his thugs. I hope other Republican candidates can step out of their fearful comfort zones. We need all the voices we can get, as the media runs the world, and the world needs to know “we” the people are for Israel, not as our dictator Obama says. Meanwhile, People need to ship pigs over to Israel freely graze the areas Obama is stealing from them. If they could heed that Jesus made it so animal sacrifices are no longer and “all meat is clean” to eat. Pig saturated soil is less harmful than insane muslims & donkeys packed with bombs.

Good grief. What am I saying? It’s the 21st century ! All we need to do is send swine in spray cans. I must get real. All they need are cans with sugar water labeled “100% pig” in several different languages of course.

I’m voting for Herman Cain, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it, and voting for Herman Cain…really.

    • tranquil.night says:

The establishment is predictably grumbling today about Cain’s lack of understanding surrounding Right of Return. The “unsophisticated understanding of the issues” narrative that builds around the outside-the-beltway Conservatives.

      If I were an advisor-

To the establishment: get over the rejection of your candidates and suck it up, this doesn’t make him ‘un-serious.’ Criticism should be constructive, not divisive, as grassroots leaders have tried to pay that respect to your field.

To Cain: You’re going to have to battle this, not just in the primary, but against Obama. He and the media love to shift the subject, love to hit you from all sides of the policy spectrum – culture, morality, domestic programs, every aspect of foreign policy – you name it. The only answer is to have the answers. You almost gotta run your campaign operation like we expect you would your presidency: dynamic and rhetorically/intellectually/substantively on top of all the relevant crises. Good advisors and perspectives are important, and the grassroots has the best resources available. We have many, many leaders out there.

    • jobeth says:

I’m more than Happily impressed with Cain. I enjoyed him in the debate and enjoy listening to his views in interviews. And thankfully we have several other solid conservatives too that I could/would vote for.

Of course CK and Rove, both of whom I admired until I watched them begin to demean the new conservative candidates, are going to do every thing possible to keep it to the DC “good old boy” elite. Once I saw this, I’ve begun to take everything they say through the prism of that DC insider agenda.

Cain would sure shut up my cousins who had to gall to ask me ‘Are you sure you aren’t voting for him because he’s black?” ( I should have asked them if they were voting for the “O’ because he WAS black)

Well maybe not. I forgot…Cain will be called every racist name you can think of for a black man who doesn’t tow the “black’ line of victim-hood. Especially because he is one of the most qualified men to take this country back into solvency. And can’t be controled.

I’m sure he’s been called it all before though and I’m sure he could careless. I could easily vote for this man.

This study during Obama’s school years, aside one of Obama’s homes Hawaii today has 0.8 Jews.

The ADL: Schooled in Hate: Anti-Semitism on Campus – Anti-Semitism and Black Student Groups

Obama (check) Wrote he bought Louis Farakhan’s Nation of Islam newspaper especially when it had an article saying white woman admits whites are of the devil.
Obama lives in Louis Farakhan’s Neighborhood with Bill Ayers.

Anti-Semitism among some segments of the Black community has been a growing campus force since the early 1980s, largely paralleling the increasing popularity of Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam. NOI’s acceptance on campus has been assisted by the increasing trend in student life and academia toward the search for heightened racial consciousness and identity. The organization’s anti-Semitic and anti-white message further reinforces and appeals to racial separatism and militancy. The NOI and similarly minded demagogues have dusted off easily accessible, widely known stereotypes and injected them into public consciousness. This blatant anti-Semitism masquerading as free expression has poisoned interethnic discourse at several schools.

Obama (check) did community recycling job for City University of NY (ps Obama Sr. was offered full scholarship & board, but chose Hartford instead)

Black academics such as Leonard Jeffries of the City University of New York (CUNY), and Tony Martin of Wellesley College, have invoked academic freedom as justification for espousing their racist and anti-Semitic views in the classroom and in outside lectures

      Obama (check) attended Columbia University
      * The impact of NOI and similar thinkers may be seen at its most pernicious through the activities of students who not only cheer anti-Semitic diatribes, but deliver them. One of the more recent — as well as particularly flagrant — examples of this impact was a letter in the October 12, 1995, Columbia University newspaper, The Spectator, written by the head of the school’s Black Student Organization, Sharod Baker. Entitled, “Struggling Blacks don’t need dirty tricks,” it was a noxious anti-Semitic diatribe filled with classic NOI statements about Jews and whites. Among other statements, Baker wrote:

I single Jews out because their oppression of blacks cannot go unnoticed while they disguise their evilness under the skirts and costumes of the Rabbi. Lift up the yarmulke and what you will find is the blood of millions of Africans weighing on their heads. It is their consciences that make them write articles that attack me. . . I speak of Jews because of those from their race who are always on our backs like leeches sucking the blood from the black community then pretending to be our friends.

    IFCJ: The Real Catastrophe
    May 19, 2011

Last Sunday, just days after Israelis joyously celebrated Israel Independence Day, many Palestinians, along with other Arabs in the countries neighboring Israel, commemorated Nakba Day. In Arabic, nakba means “catastrophe,” so you would expect that this day marks the anniversary of a tragic war, natural disaster, or loss of a beloved leader. But no — the “catastrophe” that they gathered to grieve and protest is the founding of the state of Israel.

This year’s Nakba Day was marked by violence. More than a thousand angry protesters from Syria and Lebanon charged the Israeli borders, and violent demonstrations took place within Israel by Palestinian residents in East Jerusalem. Rioters threw stones at police and government vehicles, causing damage to property and injuries to people……

3 interesting tidbits in this email about Spike’s Columbia years:
    – Columbia is the center of the US Communist movement (I didn’t know that). Are you surprised.
    – Ayers was very visibile at Columbia when Spike was there. I knew they were there at the same time, but wasn’t aware Ayers was that active
    – Columbia has a very specific requirement for 81 credits that Obamy couldn’t possibly have met

The email could be fake, but the information might be correct even if the email isn’t.

I’ve always thought Ayers took over as Spike’s control after the little dictator left Hawaii. This is a loose bit of evidence that Ayers was a somebody at Columbia. It also builds on the ton of information that Spike has always been a hard-core marxist. That’s why he left Occidental (view that as the transition school…climate similar to Hawaii, relatively laid back…prior to him coming out as the future communist roi.)

    • canary says:

      Pro from the link

“So, how did a self admittedly poor student from a third rate college (Occidental) get into one of the worlds great liberal arts colleges at a time when they do not accept any transfers?

This is a question I have continued to ask.”

Obama wrote when his mother chewed him out about getting deeper into drugs, his Hawaii friend
going to jail for selling, that his grades were slipping. She told he could go to any college he wanted. She told him she did not want him going to University of Hawaii, which Obama said was his desire to attend and play basketball for. He had been living with his grandparents for sometime, because they let him do what he wanted. So, perhaps it was to give his white grandparents a break from a spoiled brat who admitted he’d get mad and scream at his white elderly grandparents on occasion. I can imagine.
Obama said he chose Occidental because a vacationing on Hawaii girl was going there.

Now Occidental is a private college, so I don’t see it being easy to get there, but so was his elite private school in Hawaii. It’s my guess he was a foreign exchange student using his falsified
Indonesia papers to get into the schools. He changed his name while at Occidental, and he lost his money train. The rich muslim he hung out with. That friend left college and left Obama with no money.
Obama wrote a friend set him up with “an illegal muslim” drug addict to stay with in NYC.
When he got there his new roomate was gone, so Obama had to sleep in the street. When Obama finally went back to apartment his new illegal muslim roommate was with a cladly dressed girl doing dope. Obama stayed for sometime, then got his own apt, and when down on his luck again
he moved back with the illegal muslim who worked washing dishes as Obama said most his illegal friend could only find this kind of work to do.

Obama writes in Kenya when arguing with his aunt, about different tribes and countries cultures, that he defended such as this friend who helped him out several times.
His aunt made a lot of comments to Obama that angered him. Such as when she told him how lucky he was to live in America. She many times called him naive, and many times told him he was stubborn and just like Obama Sr. who she and many were afraid of his temper and stubborn ways. Obama was very bossy and tight with his own money on that trip that his relatives so catered to him. He was so bold that he snuck to his very young half-brother’s grade school and they called him over to the fence on recess. A teacher tried to run them off, and he didn’t budge, until his Aunt said it’s best they left. Would you trust your children with this man who admitted he was a lousy husband and father. Anyways, he played the drama up how someday he’d help his this younger half-brother. yeah right. He only helped a radical muslim Sharia Law Odinga Odingo whose supporters slaughtered thousands upon his losing. And this as a Senator on his tax-payers dime. Obama had a lot of thug power to keep the media and other candidates to report very significant things about his radical background.

Don’t forget canary that every incident described in that book has an ulterior motive behind it. There is no way to tell if the incidents are true, or made up either by Spike or Ayers. Someday in the far future, scholars will dissect it and try to separate our fact from fiction. We will probably never know for sure what the truth was because all of the people who would really know about 95% of it are dead or not talking on penalty of death.

This is precisely where the politics of personally destroying Republicans has brought us. Once again, the grassroots showing themselves to be way out in front of the establishment.

Mitchtoast is of course a saint next to the Won, but that ‘anybody but Obama’ line is kind of falling flat for me now even though it’s still true. Sure, Elmer Fudd could beat Spike right now, but mostly because Fudd is a cartoon with few discernable Republican political positions to demagogue other than hunting ‘innocent’ wabbit’s. There are people who can and will lose this election if nominated because they are not real leaders and they are squaring off against one.

Doubt me that Spike is a real leader? Don’t. He isn’t by our definition, but our definition is not an accurate reflection of the cause he’s actually leading.

2012 is going to be one of those defining moments in time where the choice is going to be between right and wrong. The wrong is going to use everything in their power to make it about something else. The only way to lose is to let them succeed.

It’s not the time for half-measures, diplomacy, and mild-mannered ‘civility’ with this bunch. We need clarity of vision, clarity about one’s personal and moral character, boldness, courage, wisdom, understanding, mercy and real hope… we basically need every virtue out there, which is practically impossible to find in one soul, so instead we’re finding and supporting several in the coalition in an attempt to bring the whole package together under a big tent – and it’ll prove to be all the more attractive to people in time, because real individual virtues (not that good of the whole crap) are more universal than policies, and they’re something the Democrat tent have abandoned altogether.

If you’re not helping, you’re hurting. Despite niceties and good intentions among some, so far the establishment personalities have been bigger road blocks to progressing and advocating our agenda than the hyper-Libertarians have. So it’s a bit of a relief to continue to see their commanders walking away from the fight, despite what it says about today’s public vetting system. The bigger thing that it says about our Party is that we’re starting to understand that we’re playing on a rigged field and have no intention to yield to it by feeding our enemy with more Milquetoast.

Hamas on Sunday rejected US President Barack Obama’s call to recognize Israel and accused him of being biased in favor of Israel.

In response to Obama’s speech before AIPAC, Hamas also urged the Palestinian Authority to reconsider its policies toward the Middle East peace process, saying there was no point in relying on the US as an honest broker.

The PA, in contrast, did not respond by late Sunday to Obama’s address to AIPAC.

Another Hamas spokesman on Sunday also commented on Obama’s speech saying it will not force Hamas to recognize Israel.

Obama explicitly referenced the need for Hamas to adhere to the Quartet principles after it recently entered into a Palestinian national unity government, whose formation he called “an enormous obstacle to peace.”

The terrorist Hamas now running Palestines government with al-Qaeda’s swords at their own terrorist backs, will now have to hunt down Jews behind rocks and trees.

KABUL, Afghanistan — In a brazen attack in Kabul’s most secure district, a Taliban suicide bomber on a mission to target foreign-run medical teams infiltrated the capital’s main military hospital and killed at least six Afghan medical students and wounded 23 others.

…and then a second explosion that killed 15 people trying to siphon fuel from the disabled vehicle in northwestern Pakistan. Later, 14 NATO tankers were gutted in a bombing at a nearby border town, but no one was hurt.

The blast came as the Taliban stepped up attacks as part of its spring offensive…

It was unclear if the bomber was a member of the hospital staff, but the ability of the attacker to get inside the heavily guarded hospital raised fresh concerns about possible infiltration of Afghan security forces. The facility is in one of Kabul’s most heavily protected neighborhoods and close to NATO headquarters, the U.S. Embassy and other diplomatic facilities. Security checks are stringent and all visitors are searched.

Iran ignores earthquake warning at nuclear plant

Nuclear scientists in Iran have warned of the serious implications an earthquake in Iran’s gulf region could have for the nuclear reactor in Bushehr, the Daily Telegraph reported Sunday. The announcement comes only a week after Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Saleh said that the Bushehr power plant is operational.

The Iranian government, in a rush to make the reactor operational, has apparently ignored the scientists’ warning to pay heed, the Daily Telegraph reported, despite the fact that “Iranian officials have raised a number of serious issues highlighting the dangers earthquakes pose to the Bushehr plant,” a Western diplomat said.

The plant raises concern because its foundation was laid by a German consortium in the 1970s and may not be able to withstand the shock of a significant quake.

    USPS gets offended

    From FOX News: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/05/23/postal-service-complaint-burger-king-agrees-modify-ad/?test=latestnews

After Postal Service Complaint, Burger King Agrees to Modify Ad

The Postal Service wants Americans to know that even the temptation of French toast sticks and a Double Crossain’wich wouldn’t stop its letter carriers from delivering the mail on time.

After unleashing its lawyers, the Postal Service has struck a settlement with Burger King over an ad campaign launched last year that featured a letter carrier getting distracted from his job by delicious Burger King breakfast food.

These lawyers, who are very expensive, to be sure, were paid with taxpayer money to protest, basically, a commercial that was about food, not the post office.

Apparently, the Postal Service did not appreciate the portrayal. In the ad, a letter carrier in a uniform resembling that of a Postal Service employee sang about the joys of Burger King’s new breakfast menu. The offending verse was: “With pancakes and eggs on my plate, the mail has to wait.”

According to a Postal Service statement, the agency asked the fast food giant to stop airing the ad, arguing that Burger King used its logo and uniform without permission while portraying a letter carrier in a “less than favorable light.”

Please bear in mind that the USPS is broke. They are hemorrhaging money at a furious rate, yet chose to pay lawyers to defend “their image”. We live in surreal times.

Though Burger King denied wrongdoing, they reached a settlement allowing the company to use a uniform similar to the official Postal Service garb, minus the logo. Burger King is expected to air a “revised” and “more positive” commercial — one that presumably leaves viewers feeling better about the work ethic of their letter carriers.

Postal Service representative Dave Lewin confirmed to FoxNews.com that the settlement was reached. Asked what the revised commercial would look like, he said only that “another commercial featuring a letter carrier will be broadcast at some point.” He said Burger King would adhere in the future to “the appropriate trademark permissions and/or licensing requirements.”

So after all that there will be essentially no change in the content of the commercial.

And, thank god the mail-carrier portrayed wasn’t black or hispanic or female or….or…..gay.

Doesn’t He Know Guinness is Good for You: President Obama to Turn Up Nose at Black Stuff on Irish Visit… Because He’s Taking His Own Beer

by Ian Carey, 11 May 2011

    * * * But there will be no picture of Barack Obama lifting a pint of Guinness to celebrate his arrival in the land of his forefathers.

White House security staff are taking no risks when the president arrives for his brief tour later this month — and that includes screening everything he will eat and drink. * * *

However, while the US leader may get a taste of the local atmosphere, any beer he drinks there will come straight from a keg supplied by his security detail.

    *  * *

The US secret service is meticulous when it comes to the President’s food and drink. A taster has been used to test his meals, including a romantic dinner with his wife Michelle at La Fontaine de Mars restaurant in Paris in 2009.

    * * * Mr Obama’s favourite brew is Goose Island 312, pictured. He gave a bottle of the Chicago ale to British Prime Minister after the US played England at last year’s World Cup.

    * * * The security cost of the visits of President Obama and Queen Elizabeth this month is likely to top €30million and will involve 10,000 army and Garda personnel.

Wow. Bringing his own beer to Ireland. Talk about carrying coals to Newcastle.

But please note that Nerobama and the Empress Armtonia finally caved, as each eventually took a sip of Guinness.

The Best-Protected Car in the World… Defeated by an Irish Ramp: Obama’s Limo “The Beast” Gets Stuck at U.S. Embassy

    23 May 2011

Red faces all round as President and First Lady forced to swap vehicles for trip to ancestral home.

It’s supposed to protect him from terror attacks but President Barack Obama was left red-faced after his Cadillac, nicknamed The Beast, was brought to a halt as it left the U.S. Embassy in Dublin.

His gigantic bomb-proof General Motors Cadillac, with eight-inch thick armour-plating on its door, didn’t even make it as far as the road outside the embassy.

    * * *

Mechanics rushed in to rescue the vehicle which was lodged helplessly on the ramp, while onlookers stood and watched — some of whom took video footage and photos.
The car, worth over $1million, is 18ft in length, weighs 8 tons and 8inch thick armour plating on its doors.

Specially built for Obama, the General Motors GM.N vehicle boasts its own oxygen supply in case of chemical attack and puncture resistant, run-flat tyres reinforced with kevlar. * * *

Such is the emphasis on security that Mr Obama’s team has even asked to fit bomb-proof double glazing to the windows of his guest suite at Buckingham Palace.

    * * * The President’s security team have raised eyebrows at Buckingham Palace after they insisted on bringing their own bottled water.

White House staff told the Queen’s household that they could not risk Mr Obama touching a drop of London tap water –- or even the palace’s own bottled mineral water.

According to sources, when one staff member asked why, they were told that ‘they didn’t want to risk a change in water in case it gave Mr President a stomach upset’.

    * * * The Mail revealed yesterday that White House staff have brought along their own portable double-glazing style glass to cover up the 1820s glazed windows in his bedroom in case of a mortar attack.

The Beast comes complete with bottles of Nerobama’s own blood for emergency transfusions, oxygen tanks, satellite phone, night vision cameras, pump shotguns in hidden compartments, military grade armor of dual hardened steel with titanium and ceramic layers, and a panic button.

No doubt the Secret Service was also required to prune all the coconuts from the coconut trees along the President’s route.

    What a man.

    NEW YORK (AP) –

Investigators told the AP they believed the carpet in the hotel room may contain Strauss-Kahn’s semen, spat out after an episode of forced oral sex by the maid.

He has been accused of attacking the 32-year-old West African immigrant on May 14 in his luxury suite at the Sofitel hotel near Manhattan’s Times Square.

Strauss-Kahn had flirted with one female staff member who accompanied him to his suite to make sure his accommodations were satisfactory after he checked in on May 13, the person said. Later, he phoned the desk clerk who had checked him in, asking her if she would like to get together with him when she got off duty, the person said. The desk clerk refused, saying she was not allowed to socialize with the VIP guest, the person said.

That person also wasn’t authorized to speak publicly and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity.

He left the hotel, had lunch and then phoned later to ask if he’d left anything behind. When he was told by hotel staff they had his cellphone, he told them exactly where he was: at John F. Kennedy International Airport on a flight bound for Paris. Authorities pulled him from the jetliner.

Trump: Maybe I Am Running After All

    By Kristin Brown

Just when you thought you’d heard the last of Donald Trump this political season, the real estate tycoon dropped a small bomb that maybe, just maybe, he might still seek a presidential bid.

“I can’t rule out anything,” Trump said on “Fox & Friends,” adding that he hasn’t yet seen a viable candidate among the current crop of GOP hopefuls. “The country is so important, so vital that we choose the right person, and at this moment, I don’t see that person.”

Trump publicly teased his possible presidential run for months and consistently polled well when compared with other potential Republican candidates. He also revived a debate over President Obama’s birth certificate, and credited his own efforts when Obama released his long-form birth certificate to the public last month.

Trump finally announced earlier this month that he would not seek the presidency, ending months of speculation. The announcement came shortly after he met with NBC executives over the future of his reality show, “The Apprentice.”

“Here I have a very top show, a real success, and I’m saying, well, I think I’m going to get off – and it was sort of a little crazy,” Trump said. “You give up so much when you do this, and, you know – it was just a decision that I made.”

Trump said he thought former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee would have been good candidate – though Huckabee also bowed out of the race last week.

“I believe Mike Huckabee could’ve won,” he said. “I was a little surprised he got out.”

And now that Huckabee’s out, Trump hinted that perhaps he’ll rethink his own plans.

“Who knows if I did the right thing,” he said. “Stranger things have happened – I look at these Republican candidates and I’m saying, what is going on? We cannot afford to lose this election.” …

    Trump? Huckabee?

Giuliani Sees an Opening in 2012 Field

    By Chris Stirewalt

The loftiest trial balloon yet from Rudy Giuliani’s camp was hoisted up on Monday night by Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., who told reporters that the former New York mayor and 2008 candidate was leaning toward mounting a run.

A 2008 Giuliani aide told Power Play that key members of the old team are “staying loose” in anticipation of a potential run. He said the exploration seemed to have entered “a different phase” and that Giuliani had grown increasingly serious as the Republican field took shape.
“You can’t look at the Republican field and say that there isn’t room,” the former aide said.

King, a longtime ally of Giuliani and a former surrogate on terrorism and security issues, floated the Rudy run at a Washington media dinner hosted by conservative magazine the American Spectator. It’s the latest and greatest sign from a slow-developing effort from Giuliani’s inner circle.

In a speech to a Republican lawyers’ group earlier this month, Giuliani made it clear he was considering the possibility but wanted to see who else got into the race. He had previously taken a “not closing the door” line, but the rhetoric has lately taken a turn toward interest rather than non-resistance.

With the field taking shape after Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniel’s departure, a path may be opening up for Giuliani, who went from front-runner to fizzle in 2008 after embracing a risky late-primary strategy which focused mostly on Florida, while basically bypassing key early voting contests in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.

If Giuliani does opt in, it would be something of a blow to all of the already-declared candidates as donors and supporters sympathetic to his candidacy keep their checkbooks closed and their minds open. At a time when Tim Pawlenty is getting his second look from GOP tastemakers, it is not helpful to have mainstream Republicans wondering whether Rudy 2.0 has a chance.…

“We do not consider him as a terrorist,” said Abdul Mu’ti, the secretary of Muhammadiyah, Indonesia’s second largest mass Islamic organization. It has an estimated 30 million members and runs boarding schools throughout the country, in addition to providing other social services.

Throughout a two-week trip to Indonesia, the world’s fourth most populous country and the largest Muslim-majority democracy, this reporter encountered a number of Indonesians, from leaders of moderate Islamic organizations to artisans and journalists, who had sympathetic views toward bin Laden.

A man restoring a 20-year-old chandelier strung from a tree on Jakarta’s antique-filled Surabaya Street said in broken English that he didn’t like “Obama for killing Osama.

University students and artisans interviewed in Jakarta widely criticized U.S. support for Israel,…

The Islamic Defenders’ Front holds little credibility in the eyes of the Indonesian public, according to Ohio State’s William Liddle.

“They are a direct-action organization, breaking up bars, closing restaurants during fasting month, shutting down rock-musician performances,” he said. The group “has a reputation as much for racketeering — sparing dens of iniquity whose owner pays them off — as for upholding and promoting Islamic law.”

A survey conducted by Gilang Reffi Hernanda, a 20-year-old student studying communications in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the Universitas Indonesia, found that eight out of 10 students in his department believed that “terrorism action is acceptable action.”

The president said he disagreed with the moderate and radical religious leaders’ view of bin Laden.

    Washington— ….

Investigators have pulled a fingerprint of Ibrahim al-Asiri off the bomb hidden in the underwear of a Nigerian man accused of trying to blow up a plane over Detroit on Christmas Day 2009, U.S. counterterrorism officials said. Investigators also determined that the explosives used in that bomb are chemically identical to those hidden inside two printers that were shipped from Yemen last year, bound for Chicago and Philadelphia.

… some commentators speculated in the days after bin Laden’s death that the radical U.S.-born Yemeni cleric Anwar al-Awlaki would succeed him. But U.S. officials and counterterrorism experts say that’s extremely unlikely, given his American citizenship, his relative newcomer status, his 1997 arrest in San Diego on solicitation of prostitution….

For now, though, there is no guarantee those cases will ever make it to a courtroom. President Barack Obama has not indicated what he would do if a major terrorist suspect was captured abroad.

…al-Asiri and his brother were arrested for their involvement in an al-Qaida-affiliated terrorist cell. They were released and later fled to Yemen in 2006.

Intelligence officials say al-Asiri strapped a bomb on his younger brother, who volunteered for the suicide mission…

Though the device was dubbed the “butt bomb,” explosives experts believe the younger brother had actually held the bomb between his legs.

They were joined by a number of prominent campaigners, including Anjem Choudary. The radical cleric said that President Obama has made himself a ‘legitimate target’ for Muslim extremists after the killing of Osama bin Laden.

He called for Mr Obama to be dragged before a sharia court over his role in the war in Afghanistan.

Choudary said Obama was an ‘even greater killer of Muslims’ than his predecessor George Bush.

‘He is a war criminal, it goes without saying. He has slain more Muslims than even his predecessor George Bush and has overseen the escalation of the war on Islam.

Choudary was eventually dragged away by police, prompting scuffles to break out with his supporters.

Perhaps I’m so stunned by the story and photos to include the Obama’s smiling and waving at them, all are so deceitful, perhaps it’s part of the game to improve his image & deceive Americans. Or has a lifetime of being around such thuggery and radical religious mentors, that it doesn’t phase him? sigh….

DC Liberals Sign Petition to Ban Conservative Websites

After hearing news the other day that the Obama administration had appointed a new position to monitor and push back against negative online press we thought some liberals in DC might think it wasn’t enough. So we sent Joe Schoffstall out to see just how far liberals would go to silence conservative speech. Joe went around Georgetown in DC with a petition to “Ban Conservative Hate Sites”. Here is what went down.
    Aaaaaaahhh……….the cream of American youth!
Completely void of an original thought process, sheepishly casting away
    our 1st Amendment Right for………………what?

    • Rusty Shackleford says:

For America’s youth, it’s not a stretch at all. Since they were toddlers in day-care, they have been told what they can and cannot say. The Constitution and what it means stopped being taught in schools in the 80’s. Many youth today don’t even know what it is or what it means. Therefore, it is a natural progression to assume that “someone” should be able to control what gets put on the internet and many of them are probably confused as to why conservative sites even exist at all.

As I’ve also said, critical thinking is no longer taught either. Therefore the ability to logically deduce what constitutes “hate speech” versus a rational, thought-out argument is gone. Something happens when you present them with the facts. I watched it with a friend of mine who, when he asked of his teenage daughter, she simply got flustered and said, “You’re mean.” I was appalled that he would let that pass without further discussion as she stormed off in a tantrum.

The de-evolution of parenting from the 60’s to today has shown us that parents don’t spend the time with their kids that they should, allowing the widescreen baby-sitter and the X-box to fill in for guidance and discussion. Many parents assume that they’ll get the guidance they need at school. And the truth is, they do, from liberal union-member “teachers” who are apparatchiks of the “greater good” movement, an outgrowth of the crap we saw in the 60’s with the hippies and “communal, save Gaia” thinking. It was skewed thinking then and it’s worse now because they are adults and supposed to represent rational thought processes as the result of some sort of life experience. Sadly, few of them ever had a job other than teaching and none of them have the desire to see the world as anything but a polluted, evil capitalist, discriminatory one. Yet they never ask themselves why that is; Instead they let the socialists tell them and they believe it, thinking they, themselves are being “objective”.

      Liberalism is a mental disorder.

    Perry’s gonna run:

Until recently, I thought being from Texas was a fatal flaw, since he will be described by the make believe media as Bush III.

But Bush II has been enjoying a resurgence recently since it is painfully obvious that the only things Spike has done that are worth jack are those things that continued Bush II policies.

And Texas’ continued success (relative to obamafornialand) will overcome a lot.

Perry does have a lot of baggage in Texas, but it isn’t like the other Republicans will be given a free pass lol.

If he decides to let his family be attacked as reprobates and disease-carrying maggots, then I expect he will win the nomination and the election. He may be the only guy who can win the election against the greates lying machine ever created.

His key decision point will revolve around his skeletons. If he’s a diddler (I have no idea, but he is openly religious), then he will decide against it. False accusations alone will cost hundreds of millions to combat, so real past indescretions will be a show stopper.
