Me thinks we are near anarchy

That is what they want - then they have the 'grounds' for a complete takeover of everything that they haven't written into 'law' -

Civil Disobedience - We must beat them at their own game - Simply bring the government down, stop it and use a civil war as the last resort.

If anyone has any doubts about this woman, her abilities or the fact that she truly is our generation's Ronald Reagan, be sure to read her book (hopefully Santa will oblige you this Christmas. :-))

The left knows it; we need to as well.

"Good, then you are awakened fully..."

That's the truth Rusty...I'm glad I have been awakened.

I just get so disheartened when I see the mind-numbed attitudes of so many around me. So busy going about their own little world that they can't see the house is on fire and they are soon not going to have "their little world" if they don't take some action....and quickly.

I have a really wonderful friend. She lives a conservative personal life. Great Christian lady. But holding on to her democratic party like a life raft...no matter that the democratic party is not the democratic party of old.
She just doesn't "get it" and I just don't get why.

When I shared with her my father in law"s story with socialized health care, her only reaction was..."that can't happen here"...and shut me down.
I wanted to scream at her "It IS happening here!!!"

Another friend...less of one...but a friend none the less, is soooo lib to the point she is verbally abusive at times (fitting)...and now is cursing some of Obama's actions...ONLY because it is now affecting HER...still refuses to hear about anything else he has in the pipeline.

These are folks that need to be shaken out of their slumber. Only once we are in the throws of hyperinflation after printing our dollars into nothingness will they begin to get it. Too late then I fear.

It drives me absolutely nuts. I know I'm not the smartest person around...but this kind of blind stupidity is beyond my comprehension.
Brings to mind the old saw of "there are none so blind as those who will not see"

Another thing that just boggles my mind is that with all the history ( I know, the young don't have truthful history taught to them) we should know by now that in order to subdue a people the government has only to put them in poverty and then "offer" them the state provided "solutions".
So like the Russians...and others..."just give me the goodies and make it so I don't have to think" And there you have it...a country full of mindless slaves. Fine for them, but they want to take the rest of us with them.

It's not rocket science for pete's sake.

I'm on BP meds...Bet I could stop if we could bring Regan-nomics back!

I have the S&L web address on my email signature. Maybe...just maybe they will be curious enough to visit...and maybe even see some truth. We can only hope.

Trojan horses all over (???). Here a horse .. there a horse .. everywhere a horse, horse!

Sad that we have to be so suspect of everything these nitwits engage in.

jobeth says:
To tell the truth, I am gun-shy now. I suspect everything nowadays

Good, then you are awakened fully to post 20th century politics, or even politics in general. I do not care be they republican, democrat or independent. Whenever legislation is being debated I always ask myself two things: "What could possibly go wrong?" and "Who's gonna pay for it?" There are often other critical things to consider but those usually crop up first.

jobeth, your posts are insightful and enlightening. As many, I have learned a great deal by reading this blog every day that I can. Additionally, such things are becoming the voice of a free America, which is why I estimate the "liberals" will do their utmost to shut such things down. BillK may be right in that the democrats intend to never step down and just completely take over in a coups, anything is possible. But there are a HUGE number of Americans who will not stand for that and in such a occurrence, things will degenerate. Maybe not right away but as people's lives get affected adversely and repeatedly, there will be consequences.

Many are angry now. But this is nothing compared to the anger that is coming when hyperinflation hits next year. The main purpose of that "little trick" taking a lesson again from pre-nazi Germany, is the wheelbarrow loads of cash needed to by the most basic necessities.....thereby allowing the nitwit in the big chair to declare martial law "for the protection of the people".

Just remember for now that everything and anything this government "accomplishes" is for the gain of power and to seek permanence of poverty for you and me.

Thanks Pro, As always your comments are full of good points and I really enjoy trading thoughts with you. I've learned a lot at your "feet" even though I don't always comment to tell you so.

I do agree with you but with serious reservations. Mainly because this congress and president seem to be so full of underhanded tricks and malevolent ploys I remain very very suspicious of every thing they do...both as a group and individually.

It could be he is as pure as the driven snow and I hope he is...as well as any who follow him. But I will be very watchful. My fears though is that unlike most of the conserves who blog here and other conserve sites and listen to the conserv talk radio, many folks will continue in their "I vote the party line" mentality and we will get a number of sleepers in the repub party.

To tell the truth, I am gun-shy now. I suspect everything nowadays. This congress has certainly taken a political innocence away from a lot of us. And that is a good thing in the end.

By the way...Merry Christmas to all on the site as well as Steve. I wish you all a very blessed Holy Day!

If he is switching parties, he will vote with the Republicans. If not, why do it.

Yes, there is some risk, and there is a chance he is not as conservative as a Tea Partier who might run against him....but the next elections aren't for another year, and so much damage can be done in 2010 before the election. Every vote is critical. And Mr. Griffith could start a tide of party switchers.

Your response was thoughtful, Jobeth, but I disagree with you on this one. It's a very good thing.

It is also highly unusual for someont to switch to the minority party. It's almost unheard of, so I think it is very significant.

Ok...I fully understand why he would cite Health care reforms...makes good sense...but what I am worried about is that if this IS the beginning of a tsunami...they are still libs. This will truly muddy up the waters for the 2010 for those that don't investigate the candidate's other views. A lot of folks will see "R" beside their names and go with that...Then they kill a lot of what the conserves want under the name of "bipartisanship"

I don't see this as a good sign at all.

Why do they bother with 2,000 pages of traps and secret passages.

They should just pass a one-line bill that say "Anything the beaurocracy wants can be inflicted on the population, including any taxes, and nobody in the future can change this under any circumstances"

The thing is, if you asked most of the electorate, especially those under 30, they'd agree.

Grandpa's lived a good life - he doesn't need medical care if it will cost me a latté…

Rusty, I'm with you on ignoring their "can't kill it" clause in the bill.

If they can ignore the constitution then I see no reason to find a simple 'rule change' to be un-changeable.

Me thinks we are near anarchy ... just when I was beginning to feel a bit better about 2010.

You have to hand it to'em though. They have seem to think of everything....Except I do believe they under estimated the American people....Man O man....!!!!

Me thinks we are near anarchy … just when I was beginning to feel a bit better about 2010.

You have to hand it to’em though. They have seem to think of everything….Except I do believe they under estimated the American people….Man O man….!!!!

You make the fatal mistake:

"When Republicans regain control."

Not only do I think that won't happen, but that Democrats may very well abolish the entire electoral process by the end of this.

They already have shown they don't really give a damn if something is Constitutional or not, and it's not like their friends at SCOTUS would dare rule against them.

You and I can complain all we want, but our complaints will be summarily rejected as we, the people "lack standing" to challenge anything going on.

Bottom line: there's nothing we can do now, and if, some day, we are in the position to do something about it Republicans will act as they always do and will go mushy because if they do something they won't get invited to the right parties and they don't want to have to deal with the press being against them.

A Kevorkian Cabal. Merchants of death with no conscience because their consciences have been calloused and seared. Now it becomes obvious, that the money is more important than the value of a human life.

Wellllll, since they really don't give a crap about ethics and procedures, I say when the republicans regain control, just throw it out. Ignore the stipulation and throw it out based on general principal and let them whine about it.

Bunch of selfish bastards.

The only reason they are pushing it is because it aggravates middle America so much. They are doing this out of spite and spite alone. And in any argument, big or small, spite never serves either party for the good. It only serves itself.
