I hope they got her old boss say when she was a prosecuter she was easier on minorities.
Did anyone catch what the protestors were chanting when they were thrown out.? It was during Al Franken’s speech. She looked upset.

If Sotomayor says that a wise Latina woman is smarter than a white man, and then a bunch of old white men in the U.S. Senate vote to put her on the Supreme Court, doesn’t that prove her point?

Keep the faith…some people are beginning to clue in.. though I wouldn’t recommend looking at poll numbers as a general rule, clearly with the approval rating going down and the fact that more and more people see the Goebbels style “news” coverage of the big three networks for what it really is, they are beginning to ask more questions… at least I’d like to hope so.

Steve you bring up a good point by the way. Everyone has been so quick to extol how nice, well-tempered, and ‘empathetic’ Sotomayor is. I really wouldn’t be surprised tomorrow if – like Obama – the moment the opposition asks her about some of this personal stuff you see a series of sneers, jeers, and glares of contempt. I doubt she’ll be able to keep her composure; Liberals can’t handle personal criticism (they can handle professional because they can just rant and rant and rant until nobody cares anymore), even though everything about them is presented from the personal viewpoint. Everything about Sotomayor’s nomination has been framed around personal issues: her tough life, her ‘enlightened’ perspective.

But by tomorrow as Steve pointed out, no one will care. The people barely care now.

Poor Sonia is getting shots fired at her by the big nasty racist Republicans! Outrageous! They’re literally polishing their guns Cheney-style on capitol hill while waiting for her. Poor victim. She can’t even stand, why are they being so mean.
