"Water-bottle-drinking-guy, totally embarrassed about being caught in public as Mayor of San Francisco." ----That is what the headline should read.

Knowing what kind of people live in San Fran, and how they behave, drinking bottled water is the LEAST of their problems. . .

I thought the left hated hypocrisy? I don't know how he sleeps at night, high-as-a-kite, with a bunch of herpes-ridden-prostitutes knowing how immoral it is to drink from a water bottle.

<i>Tap water is not really that safe anywhere anymore.</i>

No, not really.

Never mind that in water ways, the byproducts of chemical contraception are also showing up and causing problems with fish and, I believe, interfering with the fertility of those of us who want to have kids (see: http://www2.canada.com/windsorstar/news/story.html?id=fffbfc6d-38c4-463b-8b8a-6f2d367b1c5f).

But liberals have a funny way of overlooking ecological sins when the sin would render it impossible for them to do something they really like.

Newsom should let them sell bottled water. In fact, Philadelphia is just letting their tap water suck and hasn't really done anything about it.

Here are some of the key test results from a recent nationwide water test:

Officials in Philadelphia said testing discovered 56 pharmaceuticals or byproducts in treated drinking water, including medicines for pain, infection, high cholesterol, asthma, epilepsy, mental illness, and heart problems. Sixty-three pharmaceuticals or byproducts were found in the city's watersheds. Antiepileptic and antianxiety medications were detected in a portion of the treated drinking water for 18.5 million people in southern California. Researchers at the US Geological Survey analyzed a Passaic Valley Water Commission drinking water treatment plant, which serves 850,000 people in northern New Jersey, and found a metabolized angina medicine and the mood-stabilizing carbamazepine in drinking water. A sex hormone was detected in San Francisco's drinking water. The drinking water for Washington, D.C., and surrounding areas tested positive for six pharmaceuticals. -Also, the drinking of beer only protects against germs in the water, like typhoid, for instance. That's what the pilgrims were protected from by drinking beer. Now, these days, the beer still has all of the medication residues, etcetera, written about in the above paragraph that I am submitting here. The beer is mash is made wtih regular tap water.

typical liberal form over function. Same thing in Seattle and NY where the mayors are martinettes for the liberal crowd. They also don't want you to use those evil, thin plastic bags at grocery stores. They don't seem as concerned about the giant, thick platic bags at department stores, plastic wrapped around appliances and covering buildings at construction sites, etc. OR the soft drinks (mostly water) that are in plastic bottles too.

Out in public, are there drinking fountains on every corner?
