Yup, three dollars. Six months of threatening letters, the final straw being a threat to seize my bank accounts and take me to court, and now I owed NINE dollars because of penalties and interest, I gave up and paid it. It took almost another year of back and forth because after I sent them the nine dollars, they sent me a form that required me to say it was ok with me, and that I agreed with the "resolution". I wouldnt send it of course, and the letters started again, then more threats of legal action, so I sent the damn thing back blank. I didnt hear from them again. I am not making this up, it's one of the stupidest things I have ever experienced, yet I see people who cheat the government out of thousands every year get away with it. (my ex wife especially) Sharpton's pass on what he owes doesnt surprise me in the least. The IRS will only go after those who are least able to defend themselves. Nothing has changed.
