Shocker: Castro ‘Endorses’ Clinton-Obama
From his undying fans at Reuters:
Castro’s tip: Clinton-Obama the winning ticket
By Anthony Boadle
HAVANA (Reuters) - Ailing Cuban leader Fidel Castro is tipping Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to team up and win the U.S. presidential election.
Clinton leads Obama in the race to be the Democratic nominee for the November 2008 election, and Castro said they would make a winning combination.
“The word today is that an apparently unbeatable ticket could be Hillary for president and Obama as her running mate,” he wrote in an editorial column on U.S. presidents published on Tuesday by Cuba’s Communist Party newspaper, Granma…
Castro’s only reference to U.S. President George W. Bush in his latest essay was to say that he “needed fraud” to win Florida’s electoral college votes and the presidency in the fiercely contested election in 2000.
Castro said former President Bill Clinton was “really kind” when he bumped into him and the two men shook hands at a U.N. summit meeting in 2000. He also praised Clinton for sending elite police to “rescue” shipwrecked Cuban boy Elian Gonzalez from the home of his Miami relatives in 2000 to end an international custody battle…
He said his favorite U.S. president since 1959 was Jimmy Carter, another Democrat, because he was not an “accomplice” to efforts to violently overthrow the Cuban government…
I have to admit to being mildly surprised by his endorsement of Hillary.
I thought Castro was a little more conservative than that.
Castro’s only reference to U.S. President George W. Bush in his latest essay was to say that he “needed fraud” …
Gee, that’s what Hillary says, too.
Of course they hold so many similar viewpoints, it’s no wonder she is his choice for el Presidente.
He said his favorite U.S. president since 1959 was Jimmy Carter…
Of course that is no surprise at all.

what is the ‘he needed fraud’ about - ? Admit that I am clueless about Castro as I could care less and just wish that whoever, had annexed the pesky little isle paradise when we had the chance - it would have saved Cuba from sinking into abject poverty and would have shown the socialist/communists what happen when they mess with the US so close to home. But alas it wasn’t meant to be I guess.

It is so telling to me to see who in the world supports these frauds—remember who the terrorists ( Al Queda, Iran, Syria, etc.) wanted to win in 2000 and 2004?—Kerry, Pelosi, Reid, et al…. That Castro supports these two wannabees should make any reasonable person vote otherwise! That a world class liar and deceiver like Castro should endorse the “stealing the Florida election” fable should also give pause–and taint the crediblity of like minded arses like Gore, the Clintons, etc…..

Reason #1002 NOT to vote for the Hildabeast or B. Hussein Obama.
Fraud? So the US Supreme Court is fraudulent? Well, at least we have somewhat fair elections where more than one candidate is running for office, unlike Cuba.
Castro faded into irrelevancy years ago and would have remained there but, alas, his adoring throng of sycophants from the MSM and liberal left just wont let him slip into his well earned eternal slumber.
Too bad.

An endorsement from a communist. How fitting. There was a time, not so terribly long ago, that an endorsement by a communist dictator would ruin a candidate’s chances. But now, with the hard leftist position, it may only help.
Hell, reports last week said this SOB was dead. Is this a Dead Man Talking?
Osama Obama won’t be on the ticket. Sadly, Evan Bayh just might be.

Obama wouldn’t be an acceptable running mate for the Hill, her choice for potential vp will bring either money or power, every other characteristic is irrelevant to her.

fidel loved jimmeh and willy, small wonder he endorses the hildebeast/osama-obama ticket quicker.

Does Castro hate Hillary? If he wanted her to win, he’d endorse the other candidate.
I guess Castro is as out of touch with the American public as is America’s media.

What’s wrong with commies sticking together?

I have to question if this whole Castro endorsement was set up by the republicans. Because honestly, a communist dictator endorsing the Clinton/Obama ticket is not going to exactly give people a warm feeling inside. I wrote a blog about this so check me out at http://blog.myspace.com/drefilm07

“I have to question if this whole Castro endorsement was set up by the republicans.”
Yes, that is the only possible explanation.
After all, Castro has always been the puppet of the GOP.
