The claim to close Gitmo is nothing more that playing politics. The o-blah-blah gang isn’t going to close Gitmo and this is political posturing for the coverup of their inaction .. NOT closing Gitmo.

Now o-blah-blah can say it’s the lack of funds to close it in an appropriate fashion and it’ll be somebody else’s fault.

Personally, I’m glad they’ll continue to hold the maniac terrorists there; but this posturing is likely more of the o-blah-blah (et al) smoke and mirrors game.

Canary, I think you are right and I think more and more dems are realizing what “Dear One” is all about but they must walk in lock step with those in power or they can be made “redundant” (gone) from their office. If I was a self respecting dem (spit,spit) I would be tearing my hair out just knowing the details they know and not be able to do anything about it.

At least as a conservative I can spout off when I see whats wrong. Even as a republican I can still see where Bush failed and he has disapointed us in many things (over spending, not communicating the overall plans…not details… etc), altho I can’t think of anything he has done that I’ve lost sleep over. And I’ve always felt he had our safety at heart.

But then ignorance is bliss….sometimes. Sometimes…like now, it can be downright dangerous and there are a lot of ostriches and lemmings out there. The average person can’t seem to think beyond their own little world. It does remind me of the 1930s in europe.I just want to shake them into the real world. Shelfish gits!

The democrats are saying they won’t pass the spending, without a plan in effect.
Maybe they are starting to sweat that there won’t be any money left to pay their salaries and pensions, and realising that Obama is dumb.

Another campaign promise that the dem’s are finding harder to keep. It’s not as easy as booting these thugs out the door and onto the street. We can’t release them into the Cuban countryside to raise havoc among the population because Fidel and his cronies will raise hell and say you can’t brutalize our people like that, that’s our job.

I have read some really good ideas and ways we can save this country of ours $80 million. While that is almost up to BHO’s total savings, Can do better? Yes, we can.

We can make this into an event have someone whose used to fighting produce it, like say the WWE or whatever group those oiled up wrestlers are called. It would then be a simple matter of selling the Pay Per View rights for this spectacular I like the idea of selling pork and pork rinds – maybe the Pork Producers would want to be sponsors? We can even make it somewhat like “American Idol” and have people vote with their phones (at a buck each call) as to how they are to meet they end. This way we can add 100′s of millions of dollars to our Treasury.

We should however, provide free feeds to the Mid Eastern countries as it will put the fear of God in them about how we treat terrorists.

Ah Jobeth – I can do it even cheaper – give me $190,000.00 – I will pay off my house and school loans (actually those are hubby’s) – and purchase 480 bullets (just to make sure no one suffers at all). Do it at Gitmo (thus no ranting and raving about bringing the vermin here at all) and it is but it isn’t US soil. And of course, one first class ticket for me to get to Gitmo (hmm, I guess I will have to fly stand-by on some military airlift) – so forget the first class ticket.

See I did it and saved them the cost of a first-class ticket. Talk about giving back, doing for others and sacrifice. Hope that covers my contribution to the Change in America that The One ™ is looking for.

I can do it for half that.

Several hundred thousand for earth movers and their operators to dig a great big hole in the dessert.

Several hundred thousand for a whole bunch of explosives and one guy to push the plunger.

A few hundred thousand to charter a cargo plane for transport and pilot.

A few hundred thousand for “travel guides” to push ‘em outta the plane at the right spot…

There it’s done! No torture at all! The prisoners are not in anyone’s back yard, we don’t have to feed ‘em and I get rich! ;-D

This will meet everyone’s requirements!
