Shocker: Al Franken ‘Wins’ MN ‘Recount’

From an elated Associated Press:

Franken Is Ahead as Recount For Minn. Senate Seat Ends

By Brian Bakst
Sunday, January 4, 2009

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 3 — Victory in Minnesota’s drawn-out Senate race moved within Democrat Al Franken’s grasp Saturday when he increased his lead over Republican  Norm Coleman as the statewide recount drew to a close.

The state Canvassing Board will reconvene Monday to declare which candidate received the most votes in the election. Barring court intervention, it will be Franken.

Franken’s lead stands at 225 votes after Saturday’s review of formerly sealed absentee ballots. The new total was reached the day that Coleman’s term as senator expired.

The 933 absentee ballots were among those rejected by poll workers but later found to have been excluded in error. The campaigns eventually agreed that those ballots be added to the recount.

Unless Coleman wins a pending court petition that seeks to add hundreds more ballots to the recount, the counting is done and the Canvassing Board can sign off on the result on Monday or Tuesday. The result cannot be certified for at least a week under state law. In that time, the loser of the recount can challenge the result in court…

Senate Republican leaders have said the chamber should not seat Franken until all legal matters are settled, even if they drag on for months.

But of course Franken will be seated.

We all know by now that Democrats only have to get close in any election anywhere and the recounting will make up the difference.

Just like in the third world countries they so admire.

OK … it can now be said….”SEND IN THE CLOWN!!”

My gosh. Been on leave back in the good ol’ USA and missed this site. Didn’t really pay attention to the news while I was back and was surprised that this Minnisota debacle was still going on.
Remember the dem screed “selected, not elected” concerning GWB?
Seems to me that we will not have another honest election in the USA for quite a few years with the crap the demoncraps have come up with.
How about “selected by ACORN and a host of fantasy characters” (the entire cast of Disney cartoon characters that voted for the annointed one) for Obama?
Seems that the dem’s can pull votes out of their posteriors when necessary.
    I fear for our nation….

Franken didnt win. He did everything he could to throw the election in his favor. He is dishonest, lacks any character whatsoever, he is nothing more than a lickspittle minion for the criminal leftist wholly anti american socialist party that bought the votes, and paid off the officials to create his slithering waddle to the top.

He is a disgusting human being, a totally self absorbed semi intelligent overweight puppet who has brought the filth of his presence to epitomize the totally unqualified scum who have to buy and cheat their way to a position of self indulgent de facto power.

His campaign is a disgrace, it is totally below the law, and again, people who think this tubby pig is going to do anything worthwhile in his purchased and foul stained senate seat are going to learn the hard way what happens when you sit by and allow a person with the brain of a five year old think it’s funny to be their senator.

    I hope he ___________________________________________!

The very next person to iterate just how squeaky-clean the Minnesota elections are will be subjected to a no-holds-barred barrage of heated invective concerning their dubious pedigree. If anyone with an ounce of sense was observing the goings-on, there would have been a horrendous outcry of ‘fraud’ directed toward the elections commission.

Maybe the people of Minnesota are willing to settle for these bogus results and the feckless moron who will be declared their senator, but the rest of the US should have a say in this circus of an election. As for Franken, I wouldn’t cross the street and piss up his ass if his guts were on fire. And if the senate seats that bastard, I will NEVER vote for another democrat again–even if they happened to be my blood kin. If a person insists they are a democrat it indicates to me that they have no sense of shame or self-respect.

  4. proreason says:

This is the greatest election heist since LBJ cheated his way to Congress.

    • Steve says:

“This is the greatest election heist since LBJ cheated his way to Congress.”

Or at least since Democrat Christine Gregoire stole the election for the Governship of Washington.

And, oddly enough, the self-same behind-the-scene person who pulled that off is also managing Mr. Franken’s theft.

  5. JimCap says:

Well, at least the recount was objective and fair. It’s over now and time to unite as Americans behind Senator Al Franken. Congratulations, Al and best to you and your family as you go to work in the United States Senate. You have a big job ahead of you.

    • Flession says:

Did you see some of the things they were throwing out as unknowns?

“Fair and Objective” shouldn’t be uttered in the same sentence as Al Franken, much less this sham.

    • Liberals Demise says:

Hope he chokes on a ham sandwich he steals off Teddys’ lunch plate!!

    • proreason says:

“objective”, “fair”, “Al Franken”. All in the same sentence. I think I’ll play that game myself.

“Josef Stalin’s objective was to be fair to the Russion people.”

Yep, it’s pretty easy to do.

      One more try:

“Obamy is objective about his goal to implement Socialism, a system that is fair to everyone below the aristocratic class, so brain surgeons and janitors will be equally compensated.”

      This is fun.

    • Alice L. says:

      Is this a joke?

    • sheehanjihad says:

it isnt a joke alice…it’s a form of “foxhole humor”….where when you are getting shot at and almost overrun, you look at your buddy and say, “hey, aint this fun?”

I would rather be shot at by an enemy than to have a virulently socialist enemy of the country stealing an election by fraud and becoming the joke of the senate. Minnesota will get nothing from this jerk.

…the State will benefit only from Franken’s voting the party line and doing what he is told. He is not qualified to be on the student council at the local elementary school. Plus, his ignorance is dangerous.

I feel sorry for your state. And for our country. This class clown? Damn……

    • JohnMG says:

What we are witnessing is only the beginning. If people think the US had lost face in front of the rest of the world, “they ain’t seen nothin’ yet”.

When you put the clowns in charge, don’t be surprised when a circus breaks out.

  6. RightWinger says:

They won’t finalize the count just yet. Geraldo Rivera opened up another one of Al Capone’s “secret hidden vaults” and inside they found 419 votes for Al Franken that somehow got misplaced. Also there are the 348 votes they found for Al Franken when they opened up a safe that was just brought up from the “Titanic” wreckage.

I happened to find 500 votes for Franken in the men’s room this morning, but they were only 1 ply.

  7. BillK says:

Of course who should chime in?

    From the AP:

Schumer: Senate should seat Minn. Dem. Al Franken

    By Amy Forliti

New York Sen. Charles Schumer says Democrat Al Franken should be seated in the Senate as soon as possible after it convenes Tuesday.

Schumer, the former head of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, said in a statement Sunday that it’s clear Franken has won the election for Minnesota’s Senate seat. He says Republican Norm Coleman can’t get enough votes to win, even if claims of double-counted ballots are resolved.

Franken had a 225-vote lead over Coleman when election officials completed their re-count Saturday. The state Canvassing Board is expected to sign off on the results Monday. The result cannot be certified for at least one more week under state law.

But the election may not be over. Coleman has a court petition pending that seeks to add ballots to the re-count and hasn’t ruled out challenging the election results in court.

Like most Republicans, Coleman should just give up now; there’s no way a judge is going to rule in his favor, and even if he does, that simply means more Franken ballots will be generated found.

    • BannedbytheTaliban says:

I do find it amazing that every recount only finds votes for democrats.

    • HULAgate says:

Schumer will be running credit reports on anyone that doesn’t help anoint the latest leftist liar to an unearned throne.

      You know.

Any democrap north of Leavenworth prison.

Where Schumer belongs, along with Billary, Richie, Kennedy (all), Rangel, McKinney, Dodd, Biden, the state of Illinois, and the rest of the Brat Packers.

      Some change, eh?

  8. Alice L. says:

I am sick over this. Norm Coleman is a good guy who lost the governership to Jesse Ventura, that walking disaster of a man, in a three way race. Now another three way race and voter fraud! I amd evastated by this. The only good thing is that McConnell may be able to follow Franken the Clown around and get him to punch somebody out on camera. I am disgusted with Minnesota!

    • proreason says:

Alice, you are correct, but the travesty is even greater.

Franken will instantly be one of the most profound Senators in the Democratic party.

Dems should drop the masks, and just run Bozo the Clown.

  9. Alice L. says:

I have a friend who grew up with Norm. We are in despair that a clown such as Al Franken can be allowed to steal an election.

  10. logicrat says:

It shocks and saddens me that in 2009 an election can be so brazenly stolen in The United States of America. As we have been taught time and time again, leftists all over the world including the US, have no limits to the lengths they will go or the laws they will abuse to obtain power. Until conservatives begin standing up for themselves loudly and vigorously, this abuse will continue. We can’t allow this to stand.

  11. wardmama4 says:

Shocker: Franken Wins Steals MN ‘Recount’

There I fixed that for you.

What a crock. But alas – as long as those voters in MN don’t rise up and say No, they are part of the problem and deserve the idiot.

At least after the fools here in OH (State legislature) saw exactly what the DNC did to steal our election (aided and abetted by a lunatic liberal judge and the Sec of State who refused to do her job) they went to work to rectify the situation and did away with that awful 10 day register/vote same day idiocy. You can fight city hall and win.

Just have the guts to stand up and do it.

  12. BillK says:

The problem is, who are MN voters going to complain to?

The Secretary of State is a Democrat.

    The Canvassing Board are Democrats.

    The judges are Democrats.

    The “watchdog” press? Please.

No Democrat sees anything wrong with the election.

So once again, who would they complain to? The rules are rigged in their favor and there’s not a thing Republicans can do about it.

    • HULAgate says:

Where’s Ken Starr when non-Californicators need him?

This is a federal election, and a sure federal case: Like Obama, Ali Frankless IS up to his red flagged neck in foreign funds (Canada, Gaza, PayPal EU) that need to not only be investigated but vigorously prosecuted. Obama turned off the CVV credit card address and security code verification system, and the rest is TV time history.

Like the Clixons, the Obamites have a loose exchange of public and private demarcations, certainly in their favor if usually non-taxable.

With what largess we’ve seen for the DNC in the last 6 months they could balance the budget, pay for the vital wars, cure global cooling, plug Poughkeepsie back into the power grid, truck fresh hookers to Albany and Cheataqua, get the Fedskins a real owner, pave Gaza, feed the poor in Sausagelito, delouse Division Street, abort Vermont, and expand heroin imports in Oakland.

And that’s even before Barney Frankly legalizes lawyer-lama sex north of the Mayhem-Jizm line.

      Keep Dope Alive!

    • Liberals Demise says:

      Hula…….you slay me!!!
Ribs hurt from laughing soooo hard!!

  13. Alice L. says:

Coleman is suing. He must take this all the way to the US Supreme Court. The Demos must not be allowed to steal this election as they did to Nick Rossi in Washington State.

  14. Barbie says:

This fiasco is being funded by George Soros. His little rich fingers are all over this…

  15. Barbie says:

It’s statistically impossible that all of these ‘recounted votes’ and ‘found votes’ just happen to be for Franken…

    • Liberals Demise says:

Hold on there missy!! There is an election being stampeded to the far left pasture and they will have the BRANDING IRON redhot to put their mark on said election. Now if you like you can complain to the MSM Sheriff, but he’s bought and payed for….. too!!
