Shocker: Israelis Bomb A Gaza Mosque

Gaza mosque hit in Israeli air strikes

Sun Dec 28, 2008

GAZA (Reuters) – Israel said it had bombed a mosque in Gaza City on Saturday because it was used for "terrorist activities."

Palestinian medical workers said two Palestinians were killed in the attack, one of a series of Israeli air strikes on Gaza that killed 227 Palestinians in a 12-hour period.

An Israeli military spokesman said Israel had sought to avoid attacking religious institutions but "anyone responsible for attacks (on Israel) will not find refuge in any facility."

The spokesman said the mosque was situated in the city’s Rimal district…

It’s almost as if the Israelis are serious about sending a message to these terrorists.

We could learn a lot from them.

Maybe the ass_oles should not launch their mortars and missiles from a house of Allah.
Stick that in yo hookas and smoke it! I say,”Turn the whole place into a flat, scortched place that camels refuse to venture into. You all are now tasting what you sow!!”

  2. U NO HOO says:

    Go Israel!

And, oh yeah, fly Eagles fly.

  3. Landshark says:

I think “mosque” is Arabic for “weapons cache” or maybe “launch pad”.

    Islam delenda est.

  4. 12 Gauge Rage says:

For every year that I was in the military we had to take a refresher course on the LOAC (Law of Armed Conflict). The LOAC specifically stated that hospitals, churches, mosques, synagogues, school, etc were off limits as targets. But if they began to station or house military hardware then they lost their exempted status and became legitimate targets of opportunity. The nerve of these people to cry foul when they are the ones shooting from a mosque and obviously jaded to their house of worship. Or house of preached hatred. Take your pick.

    • Liberals Demise says:

Thank You for your service to our GREAT NATION!!
No matter the service…….God, Country, Commitment!!

  5. sheehanjihad says:

In my opinion, any building or structure that is being used as a base of fire, or a weapons cache, or a staging area for fighters is a legitimate target for counter fire and destruction.

Why in the world our military tries to follow rules of engagement that allows the enemy a safe haven to kill from is beyond me.

It’s about time the Israelis took it upon themselves to do what everyone has been neglecting to do. Kill the enemy wherever they exist. Kill them without worrying about anyone else’s opinion!

If we had been allowed to follow that dictum, the war in Iraq would have been over with two years ago. If you shoot at me from a mosque, I will destroy the entire mosque. Once they begin to see that we mean to win at all costs..meaning theirs…they will change their tactics.

    • DEZ says:

Your right of course SJ, if its a terrorists lair, it should be turned into rubble.
yet politicians continue to pull on the lease to restrain a fighting force that should be let loose to do the job.
Israel got this one right, and if that hurts some moonbats feelings its a twofer.

    • DEZ says:

That should read leash, not lease. DOH.

  6. 12 Gauge Rage says:

SJ, It’s because the politicians and generals are too worried about public outcry and that the people they hope to subjugate and win over will think they were too heavy handed. Without realizing of course that these are the type of people who will never be won over. In my opinion the Twin Towers were just as sacred to me as their hundreds year old mosques. Our generals need to crack open their history books and read how the Army Air Corps had to finally bomb the historic Italian monastery of Monte Casino to end the fierce German resistance that was garrisoned there.

  7. sheehanjihad says:

that’s my point 12 gauge…..these jerks were dancing in the streets when the twin towers were hit…..so to me, when my squad is taking fire from a building, I wouldnt look to see what the hell it was, I will look to see how many pieces I can blow it into. And not give a damn about these morons who hate our guts anyway.

  8. 12 Gauge Rage says:

It’s too bad the brass in the Pentagon aren’t reading this thread. Maybe then they’d see how outraged a lot of us are on how they’re making our troops fight this war with one hand tied behind their backs. When fighting a war like this what we really need is another General T. Sherman who broke the back of the enemy by cutting a swath of destruction. War was hell he said and he was determined to make sure the other side experienced it first hand.

  9. DGA says:

Got to love Reuters quotes around “terrorist activities”, like there might NOT be terrorists in there. Yep, sure, it was a meeting place for girl scouts. Mosques are just AK magazine reloading facilities.

    • cjokry says:

Sure, the media’s post-9/11 style book is geared to make anyone taking the terrorist threat seriously look like a paranoid maniac. But at least they sent along a great photo of that mosque!

  10. BillK says:

Groups like Hamas and the insurgents in Iraq long ago learned the benefits of locating in civilian areas and civilian structures – the opposition won’t target you to the degree possible, and when they do you bring out a few dead civilians for the press – children work great for that – and the press will do the rest.

It’s not by accident that they often place their meeting places near schools and other areas groups of young children congregate.

    • DEZ says:

Your right BillK, they have learned all to well to use women and children as cover, It puts a moral human being in a nasty place and they know it.
Our troops will take a bullet before killing a child, the enemy on the other hand will gladly use the kids to take a bullet to keep breathing.

I hate Islam with absolutely no restraint, I hate the apologists without remorse.
I hate the terrorists both silent and boastful with equal ferocity.
If they choose to use a child as a bullet proof vest, if they choose to use a mother as a shield, they are the cowards, they are the ones with the blood on their hands when a soldier must make a decision when to pull the trigger or not, they are the ones that call down the thunder and then cower behind women and children like gutless bed wetting dogs.

    • Liberals Demise says:

      Gutless bedwetting dogs?

  11. gradstudent says:

This reminds me of the short-lived war Israel fought in Lebanon a couple years ago and the hezbollah cowards surrounded themselves with women and children…and our famously ‘unbiased’ media reported only “civilian casualties” inflicted by the IDF…and not a single report on the number of terrorists killed. Or the number of “wedding parties” in Pakistan…

    • DEZ says:

Every time a terrorist compound is hit we get the sob stories, civilians were killed.
Just once I would like the media to tell me how the hell I could tell the difference between civilian and militant muslims.
They dress alike, they chant in the streets alike, they all dance and prance in the streets alike, what the hell am I missing here?

    • Liberals Demise says:

You forgot that everyone carries the family AK-47 and (one size fits all) vest.

    • cjokry says:

DEZ, the media can’t tell you that because I’m pretty sure they don’t really know themselves. Difference is, they don’t care. They have a story to sell….

  12. 12 Gauge Rage says:

One of these days the Israelis will get a commander who won’t try to discriminate the difference between militants and civilians. He’ll just look at the whole population in Gaza as a target rich environment and unleash hell.

  13. Icarus says:

IDF should take this opportunity to “accidentally” arrange a way for the abomination on the Temple mount to be obliterated!

  14. Enthalpy says:

If one round is fired from any mosque it should be reduced to smouldering rubble. Dez, I know you’re really on to something!

  15. untrainable says:

As far as I’m concerned, when hezbollah was elected by the people to lead, it put a target on the whole of Gaza. Since they elected terrorists, they should all be classified as terrorists. Ah, the power of democracy!

  16. beautyofreason says:

It’s nauseating to see the international press take issue with Israel defending itself from continued assault, including over a thousand rocket attacks launched by the terrorist organization Hamas. So what if the rockets of Hamas are not very accurate and the Israeli military is wonderfully effective? Should liberals give Hamas another 3,000 chances to improve their aim before it becomes politically correct to sic’ em?

This line is taken directly from the official Hamas Charter:

    Hamas Charter:

“Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.”

The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. ”

“There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors.”

    GO ISRAEL ! ! ! !

I can only hope that all countries will learn to fight terrorism so well. I suggest that Israel take back Gaza until Hamas is no longer in power. No need to give them more padding for the rocket launches….

  17. proreason says:

    What a novel concept.

    Fighting to win.

    We should try it sometime.
