Shocker: Sandra Fluke Is Running For Congress

From a joyous Washington Post:

Sandra Fluke files in California for congressional bid

By Aaron Blake | February 4, 2014

Women’s rights activist Sandra Fluke appears to be moving forward with a run for Congress.

"Women’s rights activist’? We thought she called herself a "social justice attorney." Of course, it’s hard to say which is the more meaningless title these days.

But, boy, is this a bolt from the blue. Who would have ever thought that Sandra Fluke, that modest and earnest laborer in the vineyard of women’s rights, would ever want to face the glare of the limelight and run for political office? And starting off at the bottom in the House of Representatives, too.

Anyway, we certainly didn’t see it coming. Nor did Nancy Pelosi, or any of her paid professional Democrat handlers.

Fluke has filed with the California state Democratic Party to seek its endorsement in the race for retiring Rep. Henry Waxman’s (D-Calif.) seat, according to the state party Web site. A state party delegate confirmed to Post Politics that Fluke has filed and paid the fee to appear on the ballot this weekend.

She didn’t demand that someone else pay her filing fee? Or that, at the very least, it is covered under Obama-Care? Doesn’t she know someone who might die if they can’t run for public office?

Fluke hasn’t officially announced her campaign or filed with the Federal Election Commission, and she didn’t immediately return a request for comment. But filing for the state party’s endorsement means she’s now officially part of the process.

As if there was ever any doubt that she was ‘part of the process.’ (She has had handlers since day one.)

An adviser says Fluke had to file for the state party’s endorsement because of a looming deadline and that she’s keeping her options open. "It is not the same as her announcing her candidacy," the adviser said…

She wants to keep us on tenterhooks. For the publicity of it all.

Other candidates for the seat are former Los Angeles mayoral finalist Wendy Greuel (D) and state Sen. Ted Lieu (D), the other two candidates who have also filed and paid the fee, but the field is expected to be very crowded for a seat Waxman has monopolized for decades.

What chance do they have against this dynamo and her record of achievement? Her résumé is just a monument to the righteous cause of self promotion. She is positively Hillary-esque.

Fluke presents something of an x-factor. She’s not as well-known locally as Greuel and Lieu, but has a national profile thanks to her advocacy on contraception coverage under Obamacare, which in 2012 led conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh to call her a "slut" and later apologize."

She was advocating contraception? We thought she was just trying to poke a finger in the eye of the Catholic university that was foolish enough to accept her as a law student.

…..” which in 2012 led conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh to call her a “slut” and later apologize.”……

I’m waiting for Rush to apologize for apologizing. I’m sure no one would doubt the sincerity of that one.

She was overheard saying “Who do I have to screw to get on a ballot around here?”

  5. Rush should have apologized. She’s no slut. Sluts are fun! And a slut would have paid for her own pill. Calling Fluke a slut is an insult to fiscally responsible sluts everywhere. This woman is a whore plain and simple. Whether she is whoring herself out for sex and a free (taxpayer funded) pill, or whoring herself out as a bought-and-paid-for vote… it is what it is. The word “Political” is just a qualifier. Or as Hillery might say, “What difference does it make?”

    • Heh. That’s been my experience, which I will not explain. But since I was in the Music Business in the 70s in BOULDER Colorado I can say with 100% certainty that Untrainable is correct.

    1. Get a radical.
    2. Create an incident.
    3. Pretend the activist is just a hapless everyman.
    4. Play up the activist as better than anyone in human history, and is being crucified by Republicans, the same as Jesus.
    5. Find a safe area to run for politics. Keep out other candidates that are not in for the struggle.
    6. Stay in office forever.

I wonder who shops for Nancy Pelosi’s huge boulder chokers to cover a scar or wrinkle and how many hours a day she sits in getting into costume, make-up, teeth and hair pieces.

Can you imagine she has an entire room to hang her chokers.

Maybe she never wears the same one twice.

I wonder if she’s chosen a choker for her funeral.

    • Didn’t you see the television movie “V” with Jan Michael Vincent? The female leader of the invasion unscrewed her head at night and ate parakeets. That’s all I’m going to say ..
