Every slimy and juvenile attack on Palin that our useless media exhibits simply reinforces for me how perfect a leader for the conservative movement she really is. I think the “big tent” needs to start being more inviting to those who erected the tent in the first place. The Colin Powells and John McCains of DC can find their own niche. And I’m sure it won’t take long for them to move to the more fitting party anyway.

I can understand how the editors at Vain-ity might want to edit her speech to match the way they see the world, I've given into that temptation once myself for one of the President's publicity appearances (sometimes called "press conferences"). After all, Palin spoke for quite a long time without a teleprompter, saying what was honestly on her mind. In Vanity's world, that makes her too dumb to hold public office. In our world, that means something quite different.

When you’re reduced to using a red pen on someone speech, complaining about their choice of toenail polish, even discussing her toes, her hair, etc., you have reached the bottom of the barrel.

One HuffPo writer, Shannyn Moore, is now reduced to following Palin around taking pictures of her legs and ranting about her skirts being too short. Moore even spread the lie that people at a Memorial Day service turned their backs to her because they were shocked at her brazen display of her – wait for it – knees. Naturally, this was a big lie, but Moore was out there peddling it.

Just last week Palin’s op/ed about cap and trade drew the fire of John Kerry, and then moveon.org announced that they were raising money to run ads countering her op/ed. So far, no ads as far as I know. Maybe they thought better of the idea since most people are opposed to cap and trade, and their ad would only let the majority of people know that Palin was on their side.

Palin’s opponents have nothing but hatred and jealousy to keep them going, nothing more.

What is said is they didn’t even consider that this was a speech! Some of their edits that *might* be reasonable for print would make her sound like a robot on the podium. With no regard to her audience and several edits specifically designed to remove the value of our country it is clear Vanity’s intent. They realize that Sarah is far more popular than they are and are slobbering over the scraps of her popular attention. PATHETIC!

I would like to see them do this to one of Obama’s “off the cuff” speeches. They would need new red pens after they’ve put x’s through all the “oh’s” and “um’s” he spouts out.

Actually, I’m finding this stuff amusing. That’s when you know she has won. Anytime they can’t find something of substance to criticize they have to resort to these petty personal attacks.

Believe me, if there was something they could really hit her on they would drop the petty “red pen” junk and go after that. This is the best they can come up with.
