Fixing up the neighborhoods which is on the table, and shouldn't be will fill the pockets of the Obamas assistant Valerie, a slum landlord as Rezko, and many of Obama's radical friends.

Gee!

Just when Chicago had its' chance to start two (or more, S&L'rs) new Olympic games. My entries are:
1) How much weight in drugs can you hold in your butt at one time for 30 seconds, and
2) Who can run from the cops fastest? (obstacles included)

We can help o-blah-blah bring those games to town, ay?

Something tells me the bid is already in the tank.

But just in case it isn't, I'd like to see it go elsewhere.
Too many of Barry's closest Chi Town friends stand
to make lots and lots of money. Valerie Jarrett comes
to mind.

I hope it fails too! I want to see the Dear Leader come back with egg on his face. I'm afraid though it's in the bag. Otherwise he wouldn't be wasting gas going over there, King Juan Carlos notwithstanding.

I think someone should fax the murder of Derrion Albert to the Olympic Committee (for full disclosure, ethical decision making and of course transparency).

What a schmuck we have allowed the American Idol watchers to vote into the WH: Economy, War, Earmarked up bills, Pork filled bills - and the deception being used to shove Obamacare down the throats of We The People are all more vastly important than Chitown extorting the American taxpayers and Olympic Committee to benefit the Daly Machine and its empty suit in the WH.

"I know it’s going to cost us money somehow," said Joseph Patrick, a 51-year-old stay-at-home dad. "The government doesn’t have a job (so) the only place they can get money is from us."

HA! Joseph hit the nail on the head...I'm surprised the AP decided to include his statement in the article!

<blockquote>"For others, concerns about taxes have only intensified since Mayor Richard Daley flip-flopped in April, telling the IOC he’d sign a contract promising the city would take full financial responsibility for the games after long maintaining he wouldn’t."</blockquote>

This from a mayor who can't rein in and balance his municipal budget.
Although, with TCO in the game, perhaps "hizzoner" is counting on a bailout from the Fed, your tax dollars at work.

BTW, how do Daley and the Messiah plan on hiding this ongoing tragedy from the IOC?

AP: Some Chicago residents hoping Olympics bid a bust
By Associated Press Writer Don Babwin, Sep 20 2009

CHICAGO – The mayor, the president and Oprah Winfrey may hope to return to Chicago from Copenhagen with the 2016 Olympic Games, but some around town hope the International Olympic Committee deems the Second City the second city.

The opposition is not as visible as the "We Back the Bid" signs plastered across town....

A new Web site — Chicagoansforrio.com — is the talk of the town and features the game "Match the Olympic host with its estimated budget overrun."
About 170 protesters marched outside City Hall on Tuesday night, many insisting that no matter organizers say, the games will push people from their homes, trigger more corruption and raise taxes...

At least one person was later arrested for trying to interfere with workers erecting Olympic symbols in a downtown plaza.

In Chicago, though, the opposition seems to be getting stronger.

Seconds after saying the games in Chicago would be "thrilling," Susan Blaine was wondering what tens of thousands more riders will do to an already overwhelmed public transportation system.

For others, concerns about taxes have only intensified since Mayor Richard Daley flip-flopped in April, telling the IOC he'd sign a contract promising the city would take full financial responsibility for the games after long maintaining he wouldn't.

'Wait a minute, we're going to be ... on the hook financially for a very large amount,'" said Anna Tarkov, who writes The Daily Daley blog and opposes the bid.
"I just think that the history of corruption sets the stage for a brutal series of events like misuse of funds and insider dealings," said Brian Hayes, 53, of Chicago.

Members of a group called No Games Chicago...headed to Copenhagen to tell the IOC that Chicago
is in such financial straits it cannot afford the games and is such a hotbed of political corruption it doesn't deserve them.

"We are bringing materials to back up our claim that Chicago is not fit to host the games," said Tom Tresser, an organizer for the group.
