Judge Sonia Sotomayor: Court is Where Policy is Made

As we have noted previously, Ms. Sotomayor has let her views on the role of the courts be known during a panel discussion at the Duke University Law School in 2005.

nudge nudge wink wink “ya know”, “ya, know” that’s how SotoMayor will respond to questions of honesty, integrity and also how SotoMayor will base her opinions on the SCOTUS. that said it’s definitely a pick to the far Left of Liberal Socialist Democrat Progress Moderates.

This woman is an idiot, at best, and a subversive anarchist in the least. Judge Judy makes more sense.

  2. proreason says:

    Well, I think she misspoke.

What she really meant to say is that policy is made wherever and whenever liberals can get away with it.

Obama is either blatantly ignorant of this woman’s opinions or has so much contempt for America, he will willfully put someone in a position of power that has no regard for the Constitution. She obliviously believes the separation of powers means those in power are separate from the rest of the proletariat. But this kind of willful malevolence toward America and its people have become common place in the DNC. Numerous examples abound with Obama blatantly lying to people being a moderate, wanting to reduce the budget, letting the public view a bill for 5 days, etc. Pelosi lying out are butt about water boarding, Frank about the mortgage crisis, and the media giving them all a free pass. Hitler was right about one thing, it is good for dictators that people don’t think.

  4. MinnesotaRush says:

Apparently, her decisions (when challenged) have been overturned 80% of the time BY the Supreme Court.

    Great pick, o-blah-blah.

“he will willfully put someone in a position of power that has no regard for the Constitution”

To us, the Constitution is the framework that has empowered the greatest country of all time.

To The Moron, the Constitution is “flawed” and must be corrected to “redistribute” wealth and justice.

Of everything he does and says, that is the most frightening of all.

Looks like we are stuck with her regardless of what we feel or fear about her. We don’t have enough in the congress to be able to oust her.

While looking up her background I found this interesting quote by her. We can only hope she was telling the truth.

QUOTE — “I don’t believe we should bend the Constitution under any circumstance. It says what it says. We should do honor to it.” — During a 1997 nomination hearing

The truth will be in the pudding…only time will tell.

  6. Right of the People says:

Isn’t the Constitution required reading in law school? These people act like they’ve never even heard of it. I hope some of our Republican senators will grow some stones between now and her confirmation hearing and Bork this bitch.

  7. proreason says:

Jonah Goldberg nails the selection criteria:

    “Why make this complicated?

President Obama prefers Supreme Court justices who will violate their oath of office. And he hopes Sonia Sotomayor is the right Hispanic woman for the job. Here’s the oath Supreme Court justices must take:

“I, (name), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me as (title) under the Constitution and laws of the United States. So help me God.”

Contrast that with Obama’s insistence that the “quality of empathy, of understanding and identifying with people’s hopes and struggles” is the key qualification for a Supreme Court justice. ”

  8. VMAN says:

As I follow this woman’s flawed logic it would seem that only a drug addict could judge a drug case and only a pedophile could judge a pedophile. After all the judge needs to have empathy with the accused.
