Sperling Admits Obama Lied During Last Debate

From the Weekly Standard:

Sperling Admits Obama Misled in Debate: The President Did Propose the Sequester

By DANIEL HALPER | Mar 3, 2013

White House economic adviser Gene Sperling admits that, yes, in fact, the sequestration was President Obama’s plan.

And that Obama lied in the first debate, as we pointed out last week.

But notice that Mr. Sperling still claims Obama never wanted the sequester. Even though as we also pointed out last week, Obama told the editors of the Des Moines Register the day after the debate that the sequester was "a good thing." And he counted on it happening.

Nevertheless , Bob Woodward, seems to have raised the white flag. According to the Politico he has invited Gene Sperling and Obama to his house, to make nice:

Woodward invites Sperling (and President Obama) to his house

Veteran journalist Bob Woodward has accepted White House economic adviser Gene Sperling’s invitation to put their spat behind them — and offered an invitation of his own.

"He’s a peacemaker," Woodward said Sunday on CBS’s "Face The Nation." "I am in the business of listening, and I’m going to invite him over to my house if he’ll come and hopefully he’ll bring others from the White House, maybe the president himself, and we can — you know, talking really works." …

Maybe Bob Woodward is afraid of losing access to Obama, after all. And even he can’t afford to pony up the $500,000 to Organizing For Action, to be able to meet with Obama once a month.

From the New York Post:

Beat the press – Reporters reveal how the Obama administration threatens and controls the media

By MAUREEN CALLAHAN | March 3, 2013

… “The whole Woodward thing doesn’t surprise me at all,” says David Brody, chief political correspondent for CBN News. “I can tell you categorically that there’s always been, right from the get-go of this administration, an overzealous sensitivity to any push-back from any media outlet.” …

Finally, this week, reporters are pushing back. Even Jonathan Alter — who frequently appears on the Obama-friendly MSNBC — came forward to say he, too, had been treated horribly by the administration for writing something they didn’t like.

“There is a kind of threatening tone that, from time to time — not all the time — comes out of these guys,” Alter said this week. During the 2008 campaign swing through Berlin, Alter said that future White House press secretary Robert Gibbs disinvited him from a dinner between Obama and the press corps over it.

“I was told ‘Don’t come,’ in a fairly abusive e-mail,” he said. “[It] made what Gene Sperling wrote [to Woodward] look like patty-cake.”

“I had a young reporter asking tough, important questions of an Obama Cabinet secretary,” says one DC veteran. “She was doing her job, and they were trying to bully her. In an e-mail, they called her the vilest names — bitch, c–t, a–hole.” He complained and was told the matter would be investigated: “They were hemming and hawing, saying, ‘We’ll look into it.’ Nothing happened.”

So who is conducting a ‘War On Women’?

Seriously, go here – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gene_Sperling – and read his History.

Starting with his “book”” Pro-Growth Progressive”.

This guy is the total package of Socialist government to keep you and me in line , getting rid of the Constitution and probably making Jesus out to be a homosexual.

He is …. (series of bad words) …..

Obama’s former Press Sec Gibbs tells he was told to lie and deny drone program.

Obama’s Press Secretaries get a lot of practice in lying. So much for transparency, especially when states now have drones to spy on U.S. Citizens. That and the expansion off the Patriot Act should would really anger ACLU, but they are too busy winning prisoners rights to sex changes.

“protective stupidity… rests ultimately on the belief that Big Brother is omnipotent and that the Party is infallible.
Every success, every achievement, every victory, every scientific discovery, all knowledge, all wisdom, all happiness, all virtue, are held to issue directly from his leadership and inspiration.
And if the facts say otherwise, then the facts must be altered. Thus history is continuously rewritten. This day-to-day falsification of the past, carried out by the Ministry of Truth,
it follows that the past is whatever the Party chooses to make it. It also follows that though the past is alterable, it never has been altered in any specific instance whatever shape is needed at the moment, then this new version is the past, and no different past can ever have existed. This holds good even when, as often happens, the same event has to be altered out of recognition several times in the course of a year. At all times the Party is in possession of absolute truth, and clearly the absolute can never have been different from what it is now. It will be seen that the control of the past depends above all on the training of memory. To make sure that all written records agree with the orthodoxy of the moment .”
