Sudanese Set Fire To German Embassy

From the blame America first crowd at Reuters:

Sudan protesters set fire to German embassy

September 14, 2012

KHARTOUM (Reuters) – Sudanese demonstrators broke into the German embassy in Khartoum on Friday, raising an Islamic flag and setting the building on fire in a protest against a film that demeaned the Prophet Mohammad, witnesses said.

Undoubtedly, right after they finished their ‘Friday prayers.’

Police had earlier fired tear gas to try to disperse some 5,000 protesters who had ringed the German embassy and nearby British mission. But a Reuters witness said policemen just stood by when the crowd forced its way into Germany’s mission.

Demonstrators hoisted a black Islamic flag saying in white letters "there is no God but God and Mohammed is his prophet". They smashed windows, cameras and furniture in the building and then started a fire, witnesses said

Again, that black flag is the official flag of Al Qaeda. A detail that our mainstream media studiously overlook.

It was unclear why the two European embassies were singled out since the film, which has outraged Muslims, was made in the United States, and U.S. diplomatic missions have been attacked by Islamist protesters in a number of Arab countries.

Maybe these protests have little or nothing to do with that 14 minute video clip.

But Sudan has criticised Germany for allowing a protest last month by right-wing activists carrying a caricatures of the Prophet Mohammad and for Chancellor Angela Merkel giving an award in 2010 to a Danish cartoonist who depicted the Prophet in 2005, triggering demonstrations across the Islamic world…

And, don’t forget, Germany also participated in some of the Crusades in the Middle Ages.

U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration said it had nothing to do with the crudely made movie, which inflamed Muslims after it was posted with Arabic subtitles on the Internet, and condemned it as "disgusting and reprehensible".

The film was blamed for an attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya’s eastern city of Benghazi that killed the U.S. ambassador and three other Americans on Tuesday, the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 al Qaeda attacks on the United States.

The news media won’t let go of this excuse. Why is that?

Shut down every US embassy, bring the personnel home and not one more penny in aid to any of these sh!+holes.
    Leave them to themselves.

I see the need to control your enemies and neighbors in our world system but my thought is GTFO and keep our coin to ourselves. Why are we giving BILLIONS to any country when we are SINKING?
Even if we weren’t sinking, why give money to any country?

One reason is to help extremely poor countries, but those poor countries can be help w/food and not money. Does any money that goes to a poor dictator led company go for food anyway??? Doesn’t it just go to the local warlord?

      Chrispbass,

I agree but even giving food to the poor countries unless you have a system in place to actually get it to the poor who need it is just putting money in their dictator’s pockets. What happens in these cases is the rulers either sell the food and pocket the proceeds or repackage it so there is no trace of where it came from then give to the people as part of their largess telling the poor how luck they are to have so benevolent a benefactor as their ruler.

If we were to cut off all foreign aid we could go a long way to reducing our debt. Sure the countries would scream but then they’d have to find a way to get by on their own exposing how inept and corrupt their ruling regimes are. Odds are most of them would demand that we give it to them but most of them hate us so nothing lost. It’s a win win situation for us, we save the money and find out who our real friends are.

When will the media get it right? They’re not protesters, they’re
rioters; they’re not insurgents, they’re terrorists. We need to get
back to our own national interests. If other countries cannot feed
their people, that’s their own local problem, not ours. England went
bust trying to police the world, so can we. Offer a reasonable price
for oil and gas, and they can take it or drown in it for all I care.
