My new past time is wait by cars with Obama stickers with my hand out. When the owner looks at me with a blank stare I tell them I want my "wealth redistribution" without the middle man. They usually aren't too happy.

"“You must be a social justice, pro death Catholic"

They aren't non-violent either, Catie.

Like everything else they say, the "for peace" schtick is a sham, too. Non-violence is only applicable to what they want YOU to do.

In other words, be careful. They'll pry your eyes out in a flash.

Friday night I was at Costco & parked in an handicapped spot was a big truck with my Parrish sticker on it & the local Catholic school as well as an Obummer/Biden sticker. On my way out the fat as a barn, cow who was loading her food into the car I couldn't help but say to her, "You must be a social justice, pro death Catholic, am I correct?". She looked at me and said something that was inaudible. I'm sure it was a compliment on my new jacket/not. I cannot stand these people. There has to be a special place in hell for them.

I am 100% against abortion. But it really is a smoke screen, intentional or not that covers the fact that this/these bills should not have ever gotten this far. Women will always get an abortion, I mean a scrape job, I mean a D&C, I mean a minor correction for a private female condition....we probably all have heard those euphemisms.

Don't pass a bill.

Catholics in favor of these bills, shame on you.

That is not my understanding in reading it is. I think it includes abortions due to rape, incest, or to save mother's life, the supplemental insurance is for regular abortions. Now what the supplemental insurance will cost a month will be interesting. Prehaps for 10 bucks a month your first was in paid, but the next abortion only half is paid, the 3rd that don't pay.
Who'd have dreamed. Or maybe it they will have different policies. 25 bucks a month gives.

The point is Nancy Pelosi and Obama say they will make money off their public option and pay back the trillions.

I don't think that being pregnant is a health or sickness problem, but according to Obama
it's punishment or even torture to be stuck with a baby after it's born.

"Stupak’s amendment would deny abortion coverage to anyone who gets federal insurance subsidies or buys a policy from the government. People could buy separate policies covering just abortions using their own money."

*BEGIN RANT* What I love here is the implication that you need to pay someone to insure you *in case* you ever need an abortion. How stupid are women these days? I'm still trying to get my insurance to take out the pregnancy coverage that I won't be using and lower my premium. Not to mention the addictions coverage, the psychological coverage, the dental coverage (that's what dental insurance is for and it does it better), the vision coverage (ditto), the prostate cancer coverage (although they may substitute breast for that, I'm not sure), et al. Why on earth would a woman be paying to insure against an unplanned solution to an unplanned event that should, hopefully, if you use the contraceptive that *is* rightfully covered, *never* happen? I know that I, personally, want coverage for things like if my arm gets severed in a really random accident (preferably good enough coverage to get me a new arm), if I get cancer (odds are getting better everyday), if I develop a chronic disease like Lupus or Diabetes (family history), and various other catastrophic problems. Abortion is not a catastrophic problem, it's not even technically a problem, it's a solution to something that isn't even technically a problem. I don't insure against solutions. *END RANT*

Why?

The Senate has the votes on the (D) side as well, and the Obama administration has made it abundantly clear that any (D) that doesn't vote with them will be targeted from the left as well as the right in the next election.

I wish I could be as optimistic that something, anything will stop Pelosi/Obamacare.

Alas, far too many Americans just see freebies, not the true costs involved.

Pelosi's arrogance is well-placed. She won't lose her seat no matter how much she screws this country up. SF voters are simply too stupid to vote her out. They love their "progressive" politicians. That's why they have an absentee mayor who jets off to Hawaii for a few days of rest after he drops his bid for California's governor, that's why they have an ineffective district attorney who will never use the death penalty no matter how horrific the crime, and a board of supervisors hasn't met an illegal alien they don't adore.

Please, God, let there be some moral people left in the Senate who see this bill for the sham it is. I am so sick of paying taxes on what little money I earn.

That Johnson woman that worked for Planned Parenthood, described her experience. That she first learned Planned Parenthood's priority was not to prevent pregnancy's, but the desire to do abortions because that's where they make the money $. It was her personal experience doing an ultra-sound on a 13 week old fetus fighting to avoid the probe. I saw of a film of this once, and it's obvious. Now the doctor's excuse for this is "reflex" reaction by fetus. would this not mean the baby can feel.
The major problem with the exception of for a woman's health, is that with Obama's Partial-Birth law, full term baby's slowly murdered after birth (the growing stagedy to keep the baby alive as long as possible to sell the tissue, organs, etc.) changes the meaning of what is a danger to a woman's life. It should be done in a regular hospital. Pre-planned, long processes of late term abortions in a clinic are not life threatening.

On the very day of out U.S. hero's gunned down in cold blood , I noticed the ACLU, Holden, Rahm, were focusing on the torture issue.

Compare that to the barbaric act of the way abortions are handled. It's 2009!!! It might cost more, but there's got to be a more modern medical way, and no money should be made of body parts, to discourage greedy doctors and government. How can someone feel good if they live, because of a baby's kidney implanted in them to grow a new kidney.

Wonder if they counted the one soldier's baby. She had served her full term in Iraq prior, to her exiting the military and pregnant. That baby's death should be added to the charges. Or did Obama do away with that law Bush passed that unborn baby's would be counted in homicides.

I hear ya sj

I read the gleeful piece by AP.

I posted it in news...but deleted it. Overall, it was written as a piece that was STILL SELLING the lies. It did have some great pointed comments by republicans. However, much of it was an "up yours, whitey" piece.

I think it odd that even with the serious debate...and the preponderance of evidence to the contrary, humans can still figure out ways to out-think themselves and paint themselves into a corner every single time. Perhaps it's just our nature. Kind of like "Lord Of The Flies". Only the adults never show up to take us off the island. Piggy dies and nobody really cares. To acknowledge that would mean they have to admit failure.

There was one telling last bit in the article that the boy said that the democrats have a history of creating and defending such programs as social security and medicare. I love that slip: "Defending". My argument is that if they are such great programs and after they go into effect and "we'll see and agree" then....why do they need defending for the better part of a century?

And, by the way, does history remember any of the names of the slugs who put those abominations in place? And is the nation better for them? And remember, social security was originally a money-making boondoggle of a deal sold under false pretense. Most people didn't live to 65 when it was passed so they thought there would always be a surplus. So perhaps their way of making social security profitable again is to make sure we go back to the life-expectancy of 1939 by taking over healthcare.

I hope....I truly hope that we can win a majority in the coming elections and REMOVE this legislation on a referendum. Pelosi flat out stated that she doesn't care if she loses her seat....she wants the bill passed. What arrogance.

Well, it isnt, and I have a sneaking suspicion that the Senate wont be as fortunate in their ability to ignore the American People. Pelosi is a slug....a power mad POS. And she assures everyone that this Health Care will be cheap!! Only problem is, we, the American People will have to just pay shipping and handling....again, and again, and again.
Won't matter anyway. The ACLU will file suit that someone's 'rights' are being violated, and some Federal judge like 'Chubby Che' will agree.

Yep, they lied. And count on illegal immigrants receiving coverage, as well.

Pretty much everything they say they will do, expect the opposite.

The Senate is the place to stop the crime spree, not the House.

All of the Blue Dogs now know that their political life has ended. Only wide-eyed radicals like Pelosi will have their life of leisure in the House after 2010.

So the liberals are going for broke.

Like lemmings, they will jump of the cliff, since they have been told, and can see with their own eyes that there is no hope for them no matter what they do.

Pelosi and the Moron are guaranteeing lucractive roles to all of them in the crime family in thanks for them jumping off of that cliff.

Many of them expect to become Health Czars. Little do they know that unless they have iron-clad communist-sympathizer bona-fides, the best they can hope for is a paper pusher role.....at a high price of course. But then, everybody that works for the government has a high price. That's part of the scam.
