Taliban Says US Drones Kill 24 ‘Civilians’

From an outraged Reuters:

Pakistan Taliban say 24 dead in U.S. missile strikes

Fri Mar 13

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Reuters) – Taliban militants recovered 24 bodies and were searching for more on Friday, hours after suspected U.S. drones destroyed a camp in Pakistan’s northwestern region, militants and officials said.

Four missiles believed to have been fired by at least two pilotless U.S. drone aircraft on Thursday evening hit a militant hideout and training camp in the Kurram tribal region on the Afghan border.

Soon after the attack a villager in the Barjo area said 14 people had been killed but an intelligence official and a Taliban official said on Friday the toll had gone up as militants sifted through the rubble of the seven-room training compound.

"We’ve so far found 24 bodies in the debris and we’re still looking," a Taliban official in the ethnic Pashtun region said by telephone. He declined to be identified.

Pakistani security agents and the militant official said there were no senior militants, or "high value targets" among the dead. The Taliban official said those killed were Pakistani and Afghan…

It is simply amazing how precise these drones are.

They never manage to hit any jihadists. Just (un-photographable) innocent women and children.

It is also amazing how quickly the Taliban get out their talking points via our unbiased media.

One minute Obama is saying in the news we can’t win Afganistan and we are going to trust Pakistan to take over the war, then next minute kaboom. Well, one thing we know, is Obomba obombya, wants credit of getting Obama B.L. Rosio and Hollywood aren’t tying Obamba’s hands like they did Bushes. Bombs away. Better there than here.

    Couldn’t have been enemy combatants

Obama admin. to end use of term ‘enemy combatant’

Reuters is only one saying civilians killed that I can find so far. This claims taliban militants were killed holding up in schools. We’ve known for a couple of years now Bin Laden is there. Obomba pressured Bush no air bombs, so he could come and do it himself. Found this awesome site. Even shows our airbase in Pakistan with drones. What really freaked me out is the article is military making bombs with capabilty to blow up computers. How many times did Obama mention campaigning about “every child in America having a computer and internet in their home. And why is his new chief over technology and security on leave, and FBI arrests two others.

  5. proreason says:

Gee, I hope a drone doesn’t get misprogramed and fire on the U.S. Capitol.

The cleanup would be really expensive.

  6. Lipstick on a PIAPS says:

So …. what?!?! Should we put more than 4 missiles on those drones, ay??? Sounds like an okay plan to me. :) More bang for the buck, so to speak. :)
