Rusty, you pose an interesting question that I don't think we've discussed on S&L very much: Why is the "morally inert dweeb ...in the post racial era, is both terrified and enamored by the Taliban and other terrorist groups."

My view is that there are two answers, one for the Basement dwelling libwits, and a separate answer for OSoros and his oligarchical puppet-masters.

For your normal run-of-the-mill, frothing=at-the-mouth, hate-filled, deviant, baloney-brained ultraliberal nitwit, it is simply a case, inmo, of getting back at daddy, who dared to correct the precious precocious little nascent dweeb during early childhood, before mommy put a stop to it. That explains all of your 60's radicals, btw, except for the males who pounced on the chance for unrestricted sex. (In the latter case, those males are now usually conservatives.).

For OSoros, the answer is different. He and his handlers are predators who play the dweebs like violins. That's part of the reason they shamelessly suck-up to dictators of every ilk.

But the more important and unstated purpose for OSoros is that his eqo is a super-nova, and he sees himself as the saviour of the PLANET, not just the USA. He sees the Taliban, Iran, Muslims, et al, as constituencies to be woo'ed.

Lately I have been entertaining the odd notion that our purveyor of fairness, the elected but somehow morally inert dweeb of self-awareness in the post racial era, is both terrified and enamored by the Taliban and other terrorist groups. Kind of the way America is by the Cosa Nostra.

It seems to fit that he wants to feel the power the terrorists have when they are "doing stuff" (I use that phrase to amplify how a kid would see it, and thus, be impressed while lacking the facilities to indicate exactly WHY he is impressed).

And, as I stated before, he is not keen on the military because they represent to him a genuine, organized, traditional group that holds up a morality that both confuses and scares him. He seems to understand random, though ruthlessly exercised acts of violence that seem to have a point, versus tactically engaged forces, well structured and organized.

To put it simply, like going to the movies and watching the underdog prevail.

Sadly, I think this is how wee Barry actually sees the events of the last 9+ years with regard to terrorism. He sees the United States and all evolved Western nations that are familiar with table manners, as the bad guys. His insult to Great Britain spoke more than volumes to me in that regard.

His "underdog" is, of course the terrorists who are (in his mind) right to do what they do because "The West" has for decades, if not centuries, kept them down. Again, thanks to an education by the very angry homegrown terrorists who raised him.

And, as Rush has pointed out, he wants to punish all who adhere to the centuries-evolved Western methods, which, by the way, are not just "Western". We adopted the economic system we did that goes back well before Roman times, has ancient Egyptian influence and Byzantine elements, as well as Persian, Chinese and so on. Money paid for goods and/or services rendered. We built a nation on that but we're not the first to do so.

But in wee Barry's mind, somehow that structure is bad. It keeps the have-nots down somehow. But like the walking non-sequitur that he is, he only got half the story and he grew up unwilling to listen to the other half...the good half of capitalism and how hard work and dedication and honesty works for this nation and our system of laws and government by-and-large works to that end.

But he was only taught the failures. Yes, our system is slow. It's designed that way. But you can't fix it by eliminating its many intricate and necessary parts. Sure, a watch can work without a minute-hand. But simplifying it to have only an hour hand isn't the answer. In fact, in most cases it makes things worse.

So the end result is a 47 year old socially dysfunctional and historically dys-educated president with a Congress that's more than happy to humor him with his poorly thought out ideas on how government should work. He would no more adhere to the Founding Father's ideas than I would listen to a rap CD.

And, the real icing on the cake, again, is that he's black. What better way to get the largest segment of have-nots out there to vote for a misanthrope like Obama? It worked. Perhaps the biggest bait-and-switch job the world has ever seen. And, catching a glimpse of (gag) Smiley last night....the blacks are STILL in love with this guy and blind to all reason, sensibility and logic. They think that America did the right thing solely based on the man's skin color alone.

Now who's racist?

"There was a picture circulated a while back with Obama holding a book called “A Post American World” by Fareed Zakaria… basically a Muslim look at a world without America as a super power. CNN had the picture, except they cropped out the book and were salivating over the President looking “casual” with an unbuttoned shirt. I think SG posted it a while back. America chose a wolf in sheep’s clothing."

Batk/here is photos of Obama holding the book A Post-American World, written by a muslim at link below. .

Pro, you don't have to convince me of his hatred toward America. This is why he was so up beat with other countries that hate us. He was thrilled to be with his own kind.
I looked up some articles of Obama visiting Pakistan during college Apparently, he has several friends, one that did a lot of drugs. One article says
Obomi's mother worked in Pakistan for approx 5 years.
Blood is thicker that water. And even when it comes to dead beat fathers.
Thanks guys for the heads up

Photos of Obama holding book on subject after America falls. I guess he read it for enjoyment, and to gain knowledge.

Canary, when people wonder why he doesn't act to prevent the Taliban from siezing control of Pakistan and therefore it's nuclear capability, they only wonder because they think the POTUS is naturally concerned about US national security, and therefore concerned about nuclear proliferation.

But The Moron isn't going to take any action, and the reason is that he doesn't give a hoot about U.S. national security. What he cares about is himself, and how he is perceived in the world. And allowing the Taliban and later Iran to acquire nuclear weapons will increase his popularity world-wide. In the U.S. he will scoff that it was inevitable. If there is a nuclear attack, he will claim that it was caused by the policies of Bush and Bush's predecessors who antagonized the rest of the world. This is all mapped out in advance.

He HATES America and what our country stands for.

Even many rock solid conservatives think the opposite......think naturally think that since he is the POTUS, that he must have America's interests at heart. They are dead wrong. Examine every action. There is no underlying concern for you or I or the people like us (with more talent than me, certainly) who have made this the greatest country ever.

As Rush says, his goal is REVENGE on America. He want to punish you and I for what we have done to his "constituencies".

He is much much more dangerous than even his opponents think because his deceipt is so extreme that he has fooled even them into thinking he is just more liberal than usual. He isn't just a more liberal Clinton, he is the most extreme and dangerous person in the world for the last 80 years.

FOX & Friends just played a clip of Shillary saying that the Pakistan Govt is giving up on its citizens and if they want to turn this around, they need to start providing better services!

So the simple solution to eliminating the Taliban all this time was for the Govt to provide services to its citizens? Or does this mean that the Taliban is really a rights advocacy group like Acorn and they are just fighting for the rights of people to get basic services like trash removal and running water?

ProReason, I didn't know about these visits.
Not sure what you mean. That Obama wants what's best for Pakistan? I think the bible in old and new testiment points to the beast will come out and kill a woman leader, in Pakistan, and then destruction will come worse than ever. Course the bible is very hard to understand. Sometimes, I google the old city names, or group of people's names, rivers, and old maps, then compare them to today, and that where I felt it meant the beast will come out of Pakistan. And then the end of the new testiment has revalations, and then it really get's creepy. Anyways, recently, I'm finding stuff from that wikipedia, but I do realise it's not official, but saves time in figuring out who and what the people in the bible are as in today's time. So, many people say things in bible coming true, namely destruction in the middle-east. On the good news, things end well in the end. But, it's gonna get bad according to the bible. It's so important to pray. Even Scientists that don't believe in Christianity believe in the power of prayer. They keep doing more tests, and finding out, it's not just postitive thinking either. They had people pray for sick people they didn't know. The sick people that were being prayed for didn't know they were being prayed for, and the ones prayed for healed faster and did better. Yes God Can. Yes God Can

Can anyone think of one Jewish appointee out of Obama's diversity pickings. I guess TTS's posting of worshiping Iran's hatred towards the Jews in Isreal, didn't last long. Scary to have so many Americans sucking up to Iran's mad man leader. I can't imagine shaking hands and hugging him, like Obama did.
