Tea Party ‘Terrorist’ Dares To Query Obama

From the Agence France-Presse:

Obama spars with Tea Party activist

August 15, 2011

DECORAH, Iowa — US President Barack Obama went head-to-head with a prominent conservative Tea Party activist, in a microcosm of a political clash that will play out in the 2012 election.

Ryan Rhodes, a leader of the group in Iowa, took on Obama during an open-air town hall meeting, which marked a moment of new intensity in the president’s campaign for a second term.

Rhodes shouted out that the president’s calls for more civility in politics had little chance of coming to pass after "your vice president is calling people like me, a Tea Party member, a ‘terrorist.’"

He "shouted"? How rude!

His question referred to media reports that Vice President Joe Biden made such a remark in a private meeting with House of Representatives Democrats at the height of a debt showdown earlier this month…

You see, these were just "media reports." Mr. Biden probably didn’t say anything of the kind. The numerous Democrats in the room who recounted his remarks to the Politico were obviously mistaken.

And we should forget the fact that other high ranking Democrats, including Mr. Obama himself, regularly referred to conservatives as ‘hostage-takers’ and worse during the recent debt ceiling debate.

"I absolutely agree that everybody needs to try to tone down the rhetoric," [Obama] said, before going on to detail some of the more explosive charges that conservatives have laid against him.

"In fairness, since I have been called a socialist who wasn’t born in this country, who is destroying America and taking away its freedoms because I passed a health care bill, I am all for lowering the rhetoric."

Given that Mr. Obama is a socialist and that he is taking away freedoms with his healthcare bill, is he saying that Tea Party supporters are terrorists?

And, for the record, the stump speech that Obama is giving on his taxpayer funded bus tour actually ratchets up the partisan rhetoric.

Obama and Rhodes later engaged in an animated conversation as he greeted supporters on a rope line after the event, and the activist later told reporters that he believed that Obama was indeed a socialist

How can you believe in ‘spreading the wealth around,’ and not be a socialist?

Rhodes backed winning candidate and Tea Party favorite Representative Michele Bachmann in last weekend’s Iowa Straw poll, and is regarded as a founder of the anti-big government movement in the state…

Kill him!

The movement was also seen as a key driver of Republican leadership tactics in a debt showdown with Obama, and some Democrats accused Tea Party activists of holding the country hostage over raising the government’s borrowing limit

Some Democrats, including the always civil Mr. Obama.

Little Lenin is running as a victim this time.

The big bad Republicans have foiled him at every turn from protecting the American people. Hyper partisans like John Boehner and Paul Ryan even prevented him from getting more than 2.8 trillion in new money to sprinkle around to his supporters in the recent debt-ceiling terrorist attack.

Do you see any other historical events with a similar patterns? Wasn’t another messiah crucified by evil powers a few centuries back? It’s another amazing coincidence in his life.

What a petulant little crybaby is our “gutsy” leader. It’s about time someone called out the spoiled brat and actually got it reported where the public could see it.

    • BannedbytheTaliban says:

Not to pick at knits, but the $2.8 trillion in cuts has yet to materialize, and probably never will. Any cuts that do get made will fall woefully short of that target, and come entirely from defense spending.

On a side note, we have another entry in the Obamanese dictionary from this little exchange:

Listen (verb): to hear what the Messiah says, accept it is fact, then do what you are told; capitulate

BT, it’s in the Moron’s voice.

He is so picked on you know, that the mean Repubs wouldn’t give him any more than a 2.8 trillion bump in the debt ceiling. Now he’s a martyr. How can a boy king buy himself an election with that kind of paltry chump change.

  2. Right of the People says:

I’m willing to bet once the boy king got back on his bus that the head of security who let that nasty TEA Party guy in was fired.

How dare they question Saint Barrack, patron saint of a-holes everywhere.

  3. P. Aaron says:

Sounds like the work of the Samoan TEA Party.

  4. sticks says:

I never heard him deny that he is a socialist, he just wants us to “tone down the retoric” which means that we should just shut up and especially quit asking about things said in the past since obviously those things were never said or are totally irrelevant.
