<em>"French secret servicemen established the connection while working through the list of those who boarded the doomed Airbus..."</em>

You know, like "locking the barn door after the horse is out."

I have been following this story with great interest. I asked a liberal friend of mine is she heard about the crash (she flies international all the time), and she said yeah the strom brought it down. I asked her how many storms she had flown through, and how many times she crashed. She asked me if I thought terrorism was to blame, and laughed when I said it can't be ruled out.

Lets be honest. Airplanes don't lose cabin pressure unless something dramatic happens (something must penatrate the skin of the aircraft). I am not rulling out a catastrophic weather related event, but planes fly through them every day. Planes also fly in this area on a daily basis and this is the 1st time we have had this happen.

Common things occur commonly. Sure a bizzaire weather event could have brought the plane down, but I am unaware of any mid flight cabin depressurazations due to weather (perhaps there are a few out there). This would seem to be an uncommon reason for a plane to lose cabin pressure in mid flight. A more common, perhaps the most common, reason to lose cabin pressure in mid flight would be an explosion of some type. Could be an accident like TWA 800, or perhaps something more sinister like the Pam Am flight over Lockerbie, Scotland.

Glad to see someone believes the story needs a little checking on before we blame the weather terrorists!

There is a possibility the name similarities are simply a "macabre coincidence", the source added, but the revelation is still being "taken very seriously".

Most definitely, because Les Peuples Pour L'equalite' (I just made that up) will have a field day if someone gets profiled unfairly.

Airlines don't want people thinking they are lax. First it was a storm. Now it's a violent storm. Can't have people afraid to fly.

The shame about N. Korea, young girls probably weren't taught in school about communists, and doesn't appear Democrats like Gore, worry.
But, if the world cracked down on muslims entering and leaving, then maybe their own countries would work harder to kill the radicals in their own countries.
