The news is still sinking in. He was only 27, and was all set to marry his college sweetheart on Dec 6. It’s just unreal… simply unreal. And all the while, we are supposed to “commiserate” and “pacify” these bloodthirsty monsters. Most Americans don’t realize how fortunate they have been to have had Bush at the helm since 9/11. The fact that America has not been attacked ever since is a testament to his leadership. I only wish my country had someone similar at the helm.

Would they have the same sympathy for Christians under these circumstances?

I found some plastic containers at an Army surplus store one time. I think they were designed to hold bazooka rounds since LAW’s are disposable. Their diameter was similar to a medium coffee can and it was about 2 feet long. The top twisted down and had a rubber gasket seal. I suppose you could use it to bury maps in your back yard ;). I would say instead of saving your change every night, copper jacketed slugs are the way to go. There are plenty of stores in my town that exchange that particular currency. Did you ever see the movie “Johnny Dangerously”? Come on by if you need to borrow a cup of bullets…

I don’t know if anything we can say here can be of comfort to you but many of us here are thinking about you and praying for you and your friend’s family.

We as Americans are very fortunate but things like this could touch our lives at any time.

I guess all that we can do is live each day to the fullest. Kiss our kids on the foreheads, no matter how old they are, and tell them we love them. Give our spouse’s or SO’s a big hug after work and tell them we love them too and are thankful every day.

But really, who can blame poverty stricken people of color, probably with low-esteem created by under-funded education systems, when they lash out in justified frustration at countries like India for practicing capitalism, overpaying CEO’s and being intolerant of jihad.
