Wonder if Barry and the Justice Department will get the Black Panthers to keep the Well Dressed whites in their place?

Even Congressman From “Obama” Districts Laying Low

Obama’s government run health-care scheme is in such deep trouble that even congressmen from overwhelmingly Democrat districts are hiding from their constituents. Adam Meister of the Baltimore Examiner is reporting that Maryland Congressmen Elijah Cummings is conducting “secret” town hall meeting next week in his district.

Cummings was an early and ardent supporter of Obama. Maryland’s  7th congressional district is  majority minority with 58% blacks. http://proximityone.com/cd.htm. The town hall is being held at small prenatal clinic in west Baltimore.
The clinic is located in a blighted urban area not easily accessible by cars. The population is 98% black and afflicted with high crime and high infant mortality (4X the national rate).  Undoubtedly, most of the residents are covered under the existing government run health plan knowns as Medicaid.

It is telling that a Congressman from an “Obama” district (79% is going to such lengths to avoid being confronted by voters.

‘Secret’ being code for planting a universal health care friendly crowd with pre-written questions to boot. It’s always OK when they do it. Double standard jackasses.

Gene Green is in an adjacent district. Still waiting for Shelia Jackson Lee to get back to me with the time, date and location of her next town hall meeting in Houston. I sent two online inquiries. No response.

Just heard from her office…she’ll be investigating Michael Jackson’s death for most of the recess, then she’s office to a very important international summit somewhere in the Caribbean.

    F-n cowards!

If you live in NC here is the latest about your constitutional right to address grievances with your representative (from Carolina Journal):

N.C. Members of Congress Shy Away from Town Halls

Only McHenry plans several public forums; most refuse to provide schedules

    By Rick Henderson
    August 06, 2009

RALEIGH — A CNN poll released Wednesday found that 71 percent of adult Americans were very likely (41 percent) or somewhat likely (30 percent) to attend a “town hall meeting or some other public forum where voters got a chance to speak” on health-care reform hosted by a member of Congress in their communities.

If you’re a North Carolinian and hoped to offer your two cents at one of these events, you’re probably out of luck. As of Tuesday, based on calls to the office of every member of the state’s congressional delegation and searches of their Web sites, only one had scheduled any public forums in his district during the August recess: 10th District Republican Patrick McHenry, who over the next three weeks is planning a town hall meeting in each of the 10 counties he represents in the House.

So much for open and honest government.

    • JohnMG says:

……”So much for open and honest government…..”

I wonder if it ever dawned on some of these tools that if they WERE honest they wouldn’t have to be clandestine in their dealings and needn’t fear conducting business in the open.

I can dream, may I not?

    • Liberals Demise says:

Barry is just following the Clinton Presidency in its’ doctrine of transparency.

      UPDATE for NC residents:

First District Congressman G.K. Butterfield said he would hold a two-hour forum on health care reform at 6 p.m. Tuesday at J.W. Parker Middle School in Rocky Mount.

In spite of the “death threats” Brad Miller has recieved.

For those who live in the Austin, Texas area, here is an opportunity to protest Obama’s astroturfers. I received the following e-mail from the conservative group Americans for Prosperity. The e-mail:

    Dear Central Texas Taxpayer,

This Sunday, August 9, we have the chance to counter a large gathering of ObamaCare supporters as they rally at the Texas State Capitol.

The rally is sponsored by President Obama’s grassroots arm Organizing for America. They hope to have a huge turnout to raise support for the planned government takeover of health care. We need to outnumber them, and we can easily do it!

    Time: 11 a.m.
    Date: Sunday, August 9
    Place: Texas Capitol

Bring your friends and your protest signs. Parking is available for free at the downtown meters, and also at the Capitol Visitors Parking Garage located at 12th Street and San Jacinto.

Please keep things civil and respectful – don’t take away from our message with crass signs or slogans. Our message to congress stands strong on its own: “Hands Off My Healthcare!” Having said that, we also don’t ask that individuals hide their concerns, anger, or frustration that Congress isn’t willing to live under the laws they pass!
