Escape from Detroit:The Collapse of America’s Black Metropolis

Anyone ever read this book? I am going to order it now. This is just another issue in which conservatives can CLOBBER liberals, but we all know the establishment jelly-spines are scared to DEATH of being called a racist, so they decline every single social issue that pops up, even if they know they can win it.

      Must see

Mankind feared nuclear weapons as the most destructive force on earth, feared them unchecked in the hands of crazy politicians who make rash, uninformed irretrievable decisions based on prejudice and emotion.

      The world was wrong

Unchecked socialist democratic marxism is far far more destructive and self-inflicted.

I demand reparations and war crime pat=yments from the Democratic Party for the damage they’ve done to America.

If nothing else you have to wonder about a city “shaped” so much by a multi-term mayor (Coleman Young) who was praised by Jimmy Carter, and how Detroit is consider the most liberal voting city in the nation. Ultimately the place shows what everything is coming to. They keep trying to talk it up about how Detroit is modernizing and doing well, but it’s becoming the same story in all the major cities:

Originally it was the “doughnut hole” as people fled to the suburbs and the inner city decayed. Now, by authoritarian police control and redistricting and zoning you have downtown areas that look good and area actually safe to walk through, but no one lives there. It’s the hotels, commerce centers, and office buildings of the rich and elite. The surrounding metro areas show the real decay and blight. It doesn’t say much when even Time has photo essays about the decline of Detroit:

And let’s not forget the ruins of Detroit:

And even this blog that tries to portray Detroit as a hipster place to go to for young upwardly mobile women but acknowledges the problems. I can’t tell if it’s sarcasm or genuine:

What’s utterly amazing are how these people continue to vote for the same kind of people over and over and over again. The place can be classified as the “Insane City” of the U.S.A. If you continue to do the same thing over and over, expecting a different result, places most folks in a loony bin. The entitlement mentality should be studied by scientists in Detroit, I mean “Insane”.

  4. The problem with Detroit is that The UAW, Solidarity House main headquarters is right down the street from The City Hall of Detroit. How ironic, the City of Detroit goes broke in or around the same time the UAW goes belly-up right along with GM, Chrysler and a little bit of Fords. I wonder how that could have happened? Ha, ha…….if we already don’t know that answer!
