I’d guess the Real Story no one wants to come out is the Twins are foreign agents of influence. I’ll bet anything you like this is why Broadwell warned off “The Jill” … not out of some kind of potential lover’s quarrel.

REMEMBER It’s the media telling what we know. And you should understand by now the MSM is getting it’s feeds not from their stringers and out-stations but from the White House.

Black Friday Backlash Puts Focus On Chain Store Employees
Some Walmart Stores employees reportedly threaten a job action
11/16/2012 | ConsumerAffairs By Mark Huffman

Well, in these days and times, there are many who give anything to work Thanksgiving Day to feed their families. Most the “OUR” Walmart employees most likely are young and don’t have children.

I worked at Wal*Mart for a short time, and my experience was terrible, just terrible. They would be wise to makes some changes if they don’t want to have walk-outs, and constant union pressure.

I feel sorry for the people who work there. Crappy hours, long days, Wal*Mart customers badgering you every 5 minutes about something stupid. But Wal*Mart, its workers, and the customers all have a CHOICE about where they work and shop. Left wingers don’t care about choice, they care about DOMINATION of other people. That’s really what it all boils down to: control and domination.

    • GetBackJack says:

When the Old Man ran the business it was great, according to people I’ve known from that era.

When the kids took over at this death it all went to hell PDQ.

Now the company is a hellish brew of Government Regs, Bureaucratic Numbskullery and business practices that would make John D Rockefeller blush with shame.

Nothing like screwing your own pooch.

    • Mithrandir says:

Yeah, I heard Sam Walton was a good soul too. And every job has its own experiences, so it’s hard to label something as 100% this or that, BUT, the place I worked was rife with ignorant managers, unscrupulous behavior, snotty/sarcastic attitudes. From top to bottom, there was no where to hide from the stupidity, so your/my only choice was to quit……without notice. So I’m BANNED from ever working there again, which is fine with me.

It’s just shocking to me how retail stores give you the wink & nod + employee manual that says, “Our managers do a great job of meeting the needs of the workforce, if anyone approaches you about joining a union kindly tell them our highly trained managers bridge the gap between the workers and management.”

Actually um, NO, that’s not the case at all. There are so many BASIC ways to make workers happy and comfortable, there would never be a necessity to ward off the big bad union boogyman.
I can’t count how many times the elderly ladies at the checkout complained about sore feet and back from standing 8 hour shifts 5 days a week. PUT IN A SOFT MAT OR A CHAIR FOR G*D’S SAKE MAN! Give the cart-chasers FREE gloves, hats, boots so they don’t freeze to death in the cold wind and icy slush during winter time. How many high school kids did I see wearing tennis shoes and blue jeans chasing carts during Christmas time? How about MORE than a 10% employee discount?

If you don’t want unions, companies and schools have to think a lot harder about how they treat and protect their own people so that they aren’t attracted to the sweet/evil music of unionist communism. If Wal*Mart is so hell-bent on shaving costs that they throw out basic humanitarianism, they can expect a harder and harder fight against the commies.

Wasn’t my point. I’m had plenty of jobs since I worked holidays and did not complain.

    • GetBackJack says:

So have I. IN high school and college I worked in hospitals. Everything from orderly to morgue tech to surgical tech to ER Triage, etc. I had to graduate and go my own way to be off waork on a major holiday.

Mith – do you remember the Employer’s meme, generated by public relations gurus in the 1980s? People are our greatest asset!

Then that meme began to die out and expertise in technology replaced it. Both of which are generated by PR professionals to match the expectations of who that company is trying to reach. You know that and I know that. Apparently the vast majority of corporate boards and PR firms don’t have a clue that we know they’re trying to play us.

I detected back at the time the “people-asset” narrative was at its zenith that the US Government in its communications (Departments, Bureaus, etc.) was beginning to refer to government employees as workers.

As this grew, I noted business insurers began to mimic this change of terminology, switching up the language of employer/employee to employer/worker. Then the MSM began to take up the chant of worker and now you’re hard pressed to read the word “employee” anywhere at all.

    An employee is a participant.
A worker is a replaceable tooth in a cog.

Along about this time employers with hourly wage workers began shifting from 40 hour full time positions to adopting 30 hours as full time employment. But at no time did they want to see a time-card go beyond 39 hours.

Now it’s going to be 20 hours thanks to Obamacare.

Here’s what happened …. Congress happened. Congress has been waging a steady war on the working class by Session after Session passing new Laws and Regulations making the employment of people the single greatest liability an employer faces. Whereas employees were valuable participant’s in the employer’s enterprise, Congress has over 20+ years converted this critical relationship from one of mutual cooperation to something akin to a necessary case of bubonic plague. Congress has managed to make employees the greatest toxin to a bottom line a business owner will wrestle with.

Wal-Mart et al inter-alia are just plowing the ground Congress has defined for them. And doing a hash of it along the way. The my door is always open policy has gotten many many innocent people fired who believed the common use of standard English to mean the manager/owner has an Open Door Policy. Bullsh**

No, he has a bunch of balderdash which is supposed to sound good, but God help you if you act on it.

Wal-Mart is in for a bruising battle precisely because they are setting up the conditions by which Unionization will clearly succeed. Treat your people like chattel, replaceable parts and mushrooms and Unions will gut you in a heartbeat.

But for the Employer who wants to treat their people well, in a thin thin margin business climate, Congress has made that just about impossible and ObamaCare is, for thousands of businesses, the last insult that kills the goose that laid America’s Golden Egg.

Anyone who wants to join me to turn around the Republican Party from the pathetic failing establishment filled with RINOS (Colin Powell) boot-shakers (John Boehner) jelly-spines (McCain), democrat operative-types (Arlen Specter) ineffective / directionless losers (All RNC chiefs) ship-jumpers (Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, Vermont Senator Jim Jeffords) and ACTUALLY HAVE A PARTY PLATFORM we can stick to, here is what we will do:

►FUND Republican campaigns based on A POINT SYSTEM: policy ideology, success of implementing policy, vocally towing party line.
►Financially supporting/educating next generation of Republicans.
►Recruiting avid Republicans by point/merit system.
►BUDGETS: withhold funding for any universities that promote radicalism in any way, any that deny the ROTC on campus.
►End Affirmative Action in Republican states. De-fund institutions that use Affirmative Action. Felony/imprisonment for racial favoritism by government.
►Eliminate welfare at the state level, move them to LIBERAL STATES to “Cloward-Piven” them.
►Economic-Free Zones in Republican states, depleting liberal states of their businesses, workers, and tax base.
►VOTE registration in Republican states. Felonies for those who register the dead, vote twice, or vote twice in other states.
►Prison workers for public projects like roads, fixing of public buildings depleting union power, and keeping the state budget down.
    ►Remove public sector unions.
►Police to protect our rights and constitution or face felony charges, prison, personal fines, immediate firing.
►Immediate removal of activist judges. Felony for judicial activism.
►DIRECT FUNDING to areas in which success can be measured.
►School vouchers, de-fund liberal educational cabal.
►Develop coalitions such as white and Asian Americans, black conservatives, Constitutionalists, conservative libertarians.
►Constitutional Convention to add TERM LIMITS Amendment, thereby getting rid of perpetual Nancy Pelosis of the world. Self-term limits for Republicans.
►Goal of balanced budget in Republican states, with “rainy day” accounts of $1 billion.
►2nd Amendment rights EVERYWHERE, even college campi.
►Free speech everywhere. Police, prosecutors, judges that lose free speech cases = immediate firing, fines, imprisonment.
►Education of Constitution at every educational level.
►BACK TO WORK initiative. All misdemeanors after 10 years are SEALED for court purposes ONLY. No need to report for ANY job applications. (Missouri did this recently)
►Decriminalization of small amounts of marijuana, thereby giving lawyers, courts, police, prison officials, probation officers less RED MEAT to abuse, allowing people to gain employment and work Visas.
►Hospitals, courts, police, schools, must VERIFY legal and illegal citizens and report illegals immediately, exactly like the child abuse system.

This and 1000s more! Our elected leaders are far FAR too stupid to figure out even 1 of these policies, but use them as bait for the next election cycle.

Obama to people of Myanmar: America ‘is with you’
By JIM KUHNHENN | Associated Press – 6 hrs ago
U.S. President Barack Obama,, waves as he embraces Myanmar democracy activist Aung San Suu Kyi after addressing members of the media at Suu Kyi’s residence in Yangon, Myanmar, Monday, Nov. 19, 2012. Obama …

YANGON, Myanmar (AP) — In a historic breakthrough, President Barack Obama on Monday stepped onto the soil of long-shunned Myanmar and into the flag-waving embrace of its once repressed people. “You gave us hope,” he declared, the first U.S. president to visit what not long ago had been an international outcast.
Tens of thousands of people poured into the streets to welcome Obama to a place still learning its basic freedoms.

“This remarkable journey has just begun,” he said.

In a notable detour from U.S. government policy, the president referred to the nation as Myanmar, the preferred name of the former military regime and the new government, rather than Burma, the old name and the one favored by democracy advocates and the United States government.

On his first trip abroad since his re-election earlier this month, Obama got a warm welcome in Myanmar, hugging long-time opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi and lauding her as a personal inspiration. Crowds swelled at every intersection, yelling affectionately for Obama and his secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

“You are the legend hero of our world,” one banner read.

Obama acknowledged Myanmar’s many democratic shortcomings but said: “The United States of America is with you.”

then the President went on to say:

“let me tell you briefly something about me” ,

pause for teleprompter to catch up.

you may have been told that I’m a Capitalist Nationalist,

obsessed with secure borders, strong military, and sound economic growth.

nothing could be farther from the Truth.

i was born in a log cabin in Hawaii, one of the 57 states.

with the aid of wealthy progressives, i was sent to the finest schools the politically correct could find.

with my Great Humility ,i left little documentation there,

which left me more time as a community organizer, which is not a job, i never had a real job, even when i just punch in for twelve years as a a research assistant

    then i married…

    information not available on teleprompter.

    never mind.

the local warlords saw that i best represented their interests, and with the voters, living and dead ,

i was selected as Senator of the great State of Chicago,

and then to the United States Senate, which is another not real job i never finished.

so after voting present most of the time,

this made a perfect Party Member to become the commander in chief of that army thingy,

and overthrow the Tyrant Bush, who to this day evil deeds plague

    the 49% of our

    diverse nation.

so let me say today that

“The United States of America is with you.”

and i will do everything in my power to make

America a third world nation too.

thank you and please , take a moment to fill out the voter registration cards at the News Media Press tables.”

Well, Burma legend has it that Obama’s grandfather who fought in the Burma war is his real father, because of a photo of his grandfather and a young woman that looked just like Obama’s mom Ann. They were married in Burma. So, Obama may be trying to find another grandmother or other relatives.

“This remarkable journey has just begun,” he said.

In a notable detour from U.S. government policy, the president referred to the nation as Myanmar, the preferred name of the former military regime and the new government, rather than Burma, the old name and the one favored by democracy advocates and the United States government.

“You are the legend hero of our world,” one banner read.

Legend would apply Obama has a legend or history in Burma.

“This remarkable journey has just begun,” he said.

Journey may mean finding just who his daddy was.

There is some other creepy things. This unknown man decides to go to Africa looking for the truth of his father. Fear his father’s death meant nothing, and his being left behind meant nothing, and the only tie they had would be a name, a blood type, or white people’s scorn.

Other thoughts on the flight was a trip of many across the world, the so called poor guy afforded before difficulty paying Harvard to Spain. He meets a man from Africa that can’t speak English, and poor Spanish as himself, yet they could talk in a different language and understand each other. It’s not African because the young man has to have everything there interpreted. However this friend did a lot of talking. The think man had offered him coffee in a pool hall the evening before and they ended up taking a bus to Barcelona together. After they arrived at dawn, the man offered the our mystery man, a toothbrush, comb, and bottle of water handed in great ceremonial fashion in which they washed and bathed together under mist.

As watched him walk off for a very very long time until he shrank in the distance, he wished he could go with accepting such as wish was only a romance.

And what could the mysterious young man have meant saying the older man was just like the other children of former colonies of Algeria, West Indians, and Pakistanis escaping their masters mounting their own hazardous invasions.

I wouldn’t ask, but thought it strange what Algeria, West Indians, and Pakistanis have in common.

If the U.S. joins LOST, the U.S. would become environmental lawsuit target #1.

    Contacts: Jared Young 202-224-5762
    Donelle Harder 202-224-1282
    June 28, 2012

At today’s Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST), a false narrative was presented, and must be corrected.
Supporters of this American sovereignty eroding treaty insist that if the U.S. joins LOST it will not require the U.S. to enforce treaties to which the U.S. is not a party, such as the Kyoto Protocol on climate change, thus the U.S. will be exempted from environmental litigation.

The Chairman, unfortunately, at today’s hearing constructed this highly misleading “straw man” argument. He is rebutting an argument that has never been made by those who oppose LOST.

Neither I nor anyone else has argued that the U.S. would be subject to environmental lawsuits for environmental treaties the U.S. has not signed. Rather, the real concern is that baseless and costly environmental lawsuits brought under LOST may be based on much broader areas of international law than just those treaties that the U.S. has not ratified, including internationally recognized norms and standards.

For example, Article 213 of UNCLOS, titled “Enforcement with respect to pollution from land-based sources” would require the U.S. to adopt laws and regulations to “implement applicable international rules and standards established through competent international organizations or diplomatic conference to prevent, reduce and control pollution of the marine environment from land-based sources.”

So, if another country thinks that the U.S. has failed to comply with Article 213 in regard to, say, internationally accepted standards on carbon emissions, that country may sue the U.S.—regardless of whether the U.S. is a party to the Kyoto treaty. Other countries could also point to U.S. commitments in the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change (which the U.S. is a party to) or other universally accepted environmental standards such as the “no harm” rule as the basis of climate change lawsuits against the United States. The U.S. would become environmental lawsuit target #1, and crippling costs to the U.S. economy would result.
The threat of baseless environmental lawsuits is very real, and no amount of straw man arguments can prove otherwise. International environmentalists, academics, and lawyers have already made clear their intention to bring such lawsuits immediately against the U.S. should we join LOST. We should take them at their word, and reject LOST.
