What concerns me most are the things he had listed on his change.gov website before he scrubbed it clean, I am concerned those things will come to fruition with the help of Nancy, Harry, and the Demmies.

I am concerned that our economy will take a nose-dive when he punishes success by rewarding laziness.

  2. 1republicanscientist says:

no none knows who he is. his background is sketchy at best. he came from no where and took advantage of a scandal to be elected senator (Ryan). had a poor run at governor. says he knows ayers but now ayers says they do not have any links. his wife is imposing. kenya and other shakey countries love him, along with the media. etc. he wants to be our savior. he sounds like he is talking into an empty glass jar.

  3. Diane says:

My major concern is that he, Pelosi, Reid et al are going to work such major changes in the economic and governmental setup in this country that when they’re kicked out of office it will be impossible to undo the damage.

  4. pinandpuller says:

Towards the end of Bush 41 and during the Clinton years civil forfeiture was a tool used by police and government agencies both as a revenue source and a way to intimidate people. I can see this being very popular with a Chicago thug.

Next, look at all of the fawning comparisons between BO and both Abraham Lincoln and FDR. That should be enough to scare anyone, considering the true civil rights violations of those two presidents. All BO needs is a pretext, or maybe a test by a foriegn power.

  5. proreason says:

Wow. How much time is there in a day.

Der Leader is a manufactured candidate, who appears to have been handled for 20 years. Too many missing periods of his life, too many records have been lost, too many stange alliances have been discovered and denied, too much skill at talking out of 3 sides of his mouth at the same time. What we do know is that he has a strong Socialist streak, migrates to the fringe left, has let slip several times that he wants to “redistribute”, that he accepts the Constitution only when it suits him, and that he wants “fundamental” change. I have always thought the US is a shining light. He obviously doesn’t agree. I believe he has been practicing the Alinsky art of dissembling since he was an undergraduate.

My worst fear is that he is a true radical hiding in plain sight.

We are at serious risk with this guy. Heis a foolish, uninformed, risky choice by America. It’s akin to jumping into roiling rapids because mosquitos are biting you. I had thought better of us.

  6. bill says:

duh-Bambi is a Marxist, the mere fact that half the American people couldn’t care less about that, means America as a free country is on the precipice.

  7. Kilmeny says:

    Oh, where to begin….

I hate to be told what to do, as I’m sure most Americans, even the liberals, do. Even in small things. I once owned a car with one of those stupid automatic seat belt systems where the seat belt closed on you when you shut the door. I hated this feature so much that just driving the car stressed me out. I am just afraid that the little everyday freedoms which have been slowly chipped away at for years will become this tsunami of rules with Obama. A Mammy state, if you will.

And I cannot shake the nagging fear that we’re in for more 9/11 style mayhem as soon as Terror, Inc. finds out Obama has, not steel in his spine, but marshmallow fluff.

But my biggest fear is that Obama will make it so hard for me to hold a job, pay my bills, and keep supporting my children that I will be forced to be supported by the very government programs I don’t want implemented in the first place.

  8. Perdido says:

I fully expect the IRS to step up their bullying and illegal collection tactics. Look for a big increase in confiscations sans court orders or other legal niceties. Watch for stepped up, trumped up reporting in the MSM about the poor saps trying to hold the line against this gov’t sponsored criminal enterprise.

Scares the hell out me. We have moved a long way from rule of law in this country and handing over that kind of authority to individuals is tantamount to economic suicide.

George Bush said it best, “The Constitution is just a god-damn piece of paper.” Here we have a Pres elect that doesn’t see the document as a divinely inspired force of good and limitation on government but a flawed work in need of his learned tinkering. He was trained (ostensibly) in constitutional law. The tack and focus of that education is what I fear most.

His wife’s statement that he, through government, should tell the citizen what to do is nauseating.

Conservatives best get their spines in order.

  9. DGA says:

I’ve put the last 15 years of my life working two jobs, the second one to build a business at nights, without taking any outside sources of investment. It is planned to bring it all online within the next few years as the project will be complete, and bringing in decent sums of money into the business, and yet NOW I will have to “share the wealth” around?? Sorry, obama, I’ll look into putting it all into large overseas containers and heading to the most business friendly country that will accept me with open arms I can find, Ireland is looking like a good place with it’s 15% corporate taxes. It would cost me a lot to do this, but consider me just that stubborn and anti socialist. I’m not from this country originally, and left because of the silly red tape and socialist leanings that my government was heading to. Now just as I try to realise the American dream, this bastard comes along and the people buy into his lies. Damm it!

  10. wardmama4 says:

I think that how B. Hussein Obama got into this position – President Elect – shines a direct light on my fear of him/his adaministration. He has conned, cheated, lied and distorted everything (campaign donations, associations, experience, rival’s record and statements, etc) and most telling of all – cried racist or threw the race baiting card at the most convenient of moments.

He will continue to do most of his damage in the dark of night, behind close doors and by conning, cheating, lying, distorting, race baiting and most dangerous of all – silencing anyone not in agreement with him.

The two worst dangers of this petty, vindictive, hateful little man-child is that he will either prevoke another 9/11 on America from his weak ‘global’ positions and/or he will turn America into a nightmare state of Gov thuggery on scale of any/all of the past/present charmers that he and his ilk admire.

And Perdio – the guy who ‘reported’ that quote wasn’t in the meeting, does not name a single one of his three ‘sources’ and isn’t independant nor non-partisan – like most of the msm reporting on GWB for the past 8 years. And this is just another inkling of the other problem that has been festering for the past 16 years – opinion, distortion and hate masquerading as news, reporting and journalism.

  11. sheehanjihad says:

I worry about the loss of our country that so many people died to achieve. I cannot fathom that their lives will have been sacrificed in vain. I have been witness to the slow erosion of our society and values for decades, and now I fear I will witness the destructive tsunami of socialism take what little is left.

  12. The loss of religious freedom and religious speech.

  13. SgtFrosty325 says:

Most concerning to me (and many I speak with) is that Obama is one of the most anti-gun politicians to work in the senate, let alone get elected to the presidency. Forgive me for being a bitter, gun-owner, but last time I checked the second amendment is the ONLY guarantee we as Americans have against tyranny.

To compound this is the fact that he allegedly supports the organizing of a National Police Force. Apparantly, the details being: 500,000 people strong and with a budget comparable to the military. His justification being that it’s “become apparent” that America can no longer depend on the military to provide security for this nation.

Sounds alot like the SS to me…

  14. Anonymoose says:

    I worry about the following:

    1. A loss of freedom in speech and rights literally being cheered by the Liberals and Dems.

    2. The country becoming more authoritarian–which again will be dismissed as “well, duh, saying Obama is like Hitler isn’t true because HItler was like right wing and Obama is totally left.” They’re only correct in Hitler isn’t the best analogy, I think Stalin is.

    3. A rise in civil forfeiture, increased taxes, and snooping on everything we do. All ok because Obama ain’t Republican.

    4. The shadowy bad guys who put Obama in power pulling more stuff to create “their” country. Everyone knows who they are, the MSM can’t be bothered to talk about it.

    5. Gun Control on the order of what’s happened in Britain, Australia, and a lot of Europe. Namely the only guns you can keep in house are shotguns for hunting with permits, locked cabinets, fingerprinting, psychological qualifications, etc. Target rifles are only permitted only if you belong to a sporting club and they must be kept locked up at the club. Forget about anything else. As I recall Yugoslavia had rules similar to that, and look how it worked out once the anarchy started.

I’m certain Obama will come out saying he “won’t touch” guns, but that’s only because the assault weapons ban bit Clinton so badly in ’94 and Obama wants to avoid that. Expect something serious after the next congressional elections.

    6. The “service” requirement. Okay, even assume he really is just wanting to have us all do civic minded things, just what is this needed for? How will this “service” help our country? We already have Americorps and the Peace Corps and look who even pays attention?

    7. More political correctness, to the point we will be completely hamstrung in everything we say and do. Meanwhile the people who’ve been getting away with murder will get to do even more.

    8. Government regulated everything.

    9. Possible it getting to the point we’ll be dictated to how much we’re supposed to eat, how we’re supposed to live, and what’s good for us, all for our best interests.

    10. Michelle. Need I say more?

  15. pinandpuller says:

Its amazing to me that a woman can constitutionally defend herself from a defenseless fetus until the point of exit but grown men and women can’t defend their own lives in even their own homes without a liberal getting upset.

All I know is ammo is getting added to the weekly shopping list along with toilet paper and Mt Dew.

  16. Noyzmakr says:

My greatest fear?….I only half jokingly state that he could turn out to be the Anti-Christ. Not likely, but he certainly is a disciple of some pretty Satanic people. Just read who Sal Alynsky dedicated his book “Rules for Radicals” to. Sal is one of Barak’s heros and he has patterned his rise to power by the principles layed out in this book.

    The dedication reads as follows:
“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins — or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer”

Now follow that up with what we know Obama was taught at the feet of his mentor, freind and pastor, Rev. Wright, when he sat in the pews of that church for twenty years.

    Black Liberation Theology teaches;

“Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of black theology is to kill Gods who do not belong to the black community … Black theology will accept only the love of God which participates in the destruction of the white enemy. What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity, we must reject his love.”

Let’s just say that it wouldn’t suprise me very much that Barak Hussien Obama could turn out to be a tool for Satan, all liberals are tools, but I’m not too worried about it because I’ll probably be raptured before the “Man of Perdition” reveals himself. He’s definitely going to ruin the economy and there won’t be any “dot-com” bubble to cover his ass.

  17. 4USA says:

Obama knows he can’t achieve what his Masters want in 4 years. His power will be required and demanded by the nation. A crisis, unlike we’ve ever seen, will be necessary to convince the majority of Americans that it’s in our best interest to leave current leadership in place. Once that’s accomplished, Dictatorial politics begins. Marxism achieved. However, Marxism is no match for what fills the vacuum.

The Crisis will be manufactured, the result will be more than the Obama camp expected, the result will be devastating beyond their planning. The U.S. will fall, as will all those that hated/needed us. Jihad becomes rampant. Those that would oppose it are controlled by those that don’t understand what’s happening.

This is what I fear most. I pray that I am wrong.

  18. Professor_Repulso says:

This piece sums up a major portion of my uneasiness. Please bear with me. It will become clear in the end.

“America’s newly elected young president, Barack Obama, is every bit the hand-wringing Western liberal. Everything in Obama’s personal history has inclined him toward doubt and indecision when it comes to the defense of Western culture. Obama’s mother, the anthropologist Ann Dunham, was described by her closest friends as a fellow traveler of the Communist Party, so Obama’s mother embraced the same Marxist critique of our culture that Barack himself was espousing as a ‘community organizer.’ Barack’s mother would also have embraced the perspective of cultural relativism which has been the fashion among left-leaning anthropologists ever since its invention by the founder of new-wave American anthropology, Franz Boas. The cultural relativists tend to over-identify with foreign cultures and Obama’s mom made her over-identification evident by ‘going native’ twice and marrying Muslim foreigners from very un-Western cultures. Obama spent his most formative years embedded in foreign culture and soaking up his mother’s deep-seated alienation from America. Clear evidence that his mother’s Marxist critique of America is a continuing influence on Obama’s thinking is Barack’s enthusiastic embrace of Saul Alinsky’s Marxist methodology of ‘community organizing.’ Barack’s chosen handbook for neighborhood radicalization was Saul Alinsky’s manifesto Rules for Radicals which Mr Alinsky dedicated to ‘the first radical,’ Satan. Barack Obama cherishes his decades-long collaboration with the self-described communist William Ayers, the violent bomb crafter who dedicated his 1974 manifesto Prairie Fire: The Politics of Revolutionary Anti-Imperialism to Sirhan Sirhan, the Jordanian fanatic who assassinated Senator Robert F. Kennedy. Barack Obama is neither intellectually nor emotionally equipped to defend our America from a challenging ‘developing world.’ A spellbound electorate has chosen as its leader a man who couldn’t get a security clearance and given him a nuclear arsenal and our most sensitive security secrets.”

From Barack Obama’s Old Black Magic by Thomas Clough

  19. BigOil says:

To borrow a phrase that was the mantra of the Clintonites “it’s the economy stupid.” B. Hussein is a radical left wing ideologue. Even pushing through a portion of his Marxist ideology during an economic downturn could easily destroy our economy. We have already witnessed the stock market reaching this conclusion as evidenced by the steep decline as soon as it became apparent Barry would win.

When our economy fails, not only will personal wealth disappear, but more importantly, the national wealth we rely upon to defend our country (and the free world) against evil. Liberals like Barry do not acknowledge the existence of evil. That is why he will invariably be an appeaser to our enemies.

Islamic extremists, China, Putin, Chavez et al. are sharks that already smell the blood in the water.

  20. alexf says:

    2. The country becoming more authoritarian–which again will be dismissed as “well, duh, saying Obama is like Hitler isn’t true because HItler was like right wing and Obama is totally left.” They’re only correct in Hitler isn’t the best analogy, I think Stalin is.”

I don’t understand where this flawed perception that Nazis were “right-wing” is coming from (though I can make a pretty sure guess that it has something to do with public education).
And I do think that Hitler is a more proper analogy at this point, even though by ideology BO, as his mentor Alinsky, are closer to Leninists/Stalinists.
Please see a very good article on the subject “The Nazis Were Marxists” in “American Thinker”.

  21. BillK says:

Obama won’t touch gun ownership; he’ll go with the alternative of massive tax increases on ammunition, and bringing back ideas like required identifyable microdots in gunpowder.

If you were going to buy an AR-15 or AK-47, I of course advise you do so now, but you should also take the hint and stock up on ammunition as well.

  22. Chinnubie says:

I’m curious about how the MSM will react when some of this stuff starts to materialize into reality. I mean they can not hide the fact that whatever unemployment skyrockets toward if the figure is 8, 9, 10% they have to report what it is, they can not say it’s 6% when it’s 10%, or can they? When BHO & Congress decide that the 2nd Amendment just doesn’t fit into their way of thinking and ban handguns the MSM can not ignore a story like this, or can they?

Bottom line if BHO runs to the far left and governs this way we all know the country will be so screwed up that even the democrats that voted for him will turn against him, or will they? Everyone that posted ahead of me all make very valid arguments for what may happen if this President-Elect goes too far to the left when deciding policy. My biggest fear will be if BHO is able to get term limits taken away for the President and rearranges the Constitution to suit his own power needs. Then I think we will have a second Civil War in the United Sates of America. It has not been that long ago from the first Civil War and that one started over money & freedom as well.

  23. BannedbytheTaliban says:

In Sinclair Lewis’ “It Can’t Happen Here,” newly elected president Buzz Windrip creates a “civil security force” to protect Americans from the seemingly unstopped violence that has swept the world in the days before WWII. However, the real purpose of this force is to arrest political dissenters, especially those in congress whom he has removed from the capitol building at gunpoint. Lewis made it all sound very feasible and very much like a prelude of things to come.

Also, Buzz was swept to power by winning over a large part of the population with firebrand preachers, not that different from Wright, Jackson, or Sharpton. His campaign was also spurred along by his book, “Zero Hour,” much like Obama’s autobiographies. In which much of the content was slanted or outright fabricated to make him seem more electable.

Are we seeing a case of life imitating art?

  24. jcheney says:

I never thought I would agree with BillK on anything HA!

(But my biggest fear is that Obama will make it so hard for me to hold a job, pay my bills, and keep supporting my children that I will be forced to be supported by the very government programs I don’t want implemented in the first place.)

I worry about this too. Cash is King. Have some on-hand. Make sure you don’t have any outstanding credit. Pay off credit cards, cars or anything else.

(If you were going to buy an AR-15 or AK-47, I of course advise you do so now, but you should also take the hint and stock up on ammunition as well.)

I was in a gun shop about a week ago. They were sold out of Assault Rifles, and there was a 90 day waiting list to get one. The place was packed and the buzz throughout the store was Obama. They are convinced that something will change. It’s hard to say what, but certain it will be something.

  25. proreason says:

“I mean they can not hide the fact that whatever unemployment skyrockets toward if the figure is 8, 9, 10% they have to report what it is, they can not say it’s 6% when it’s 10%, or can they?”

They won’t hide it because they will blame it 100% on Bush. Every other lie has worked, so they will simply extend the game for 4 years.

The press is happy about the crash and skyrocketing unemployment. It’s what they needed to get Obamy elected and to provide a safe platform for his ascendency. No matter what happens, the scapegoat is readily available. It’s perfect and they are thrilled about it. If they were not, you would see screaming headlines every morning. If McCain had been elected they would already be on his arse for not having published a 113 point program.

  26. Colonel1961 says:

Uh, cash? Cash will have less and less value in soon-to-be inflationary times. Have some cash – but, have lots of gold. As far as paying off credit cards or outstanding debts, I find that to be ludicrous in the current econo-political climate. Why would you part with any on-hand assets to pay off something that may be dissolved (‘forgiven’) under GoBama? Not saying it’s ‘right’, just rather pragmatic.

  27. proreason says:

    November 17th, 2008 at 11:45 am
Uh, cash? Cash will have less and less value in soon-to-be inflationary times.”

You could be correct….but the Depression was a period of deflation. The other big Dem wet-dream epoch, the late 70’s was highly inflationary.

Even though Obamy would love to print money until the presses wear out, the pressure from older people on fixed incomes will be so intense that high inflation is unlikely. Even the One can’t overcome 40 million voters furious about the declining value of their pensions.

  28. dalej78 says:

My worst fears of Obama are:

    1. We are beginning to see him for who he truly is. (Conservatives have known this all along, but I think some in the MSM have to at least acknowledge that he stumbled at his first uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh Press uh uh uh uh conference). He is not articulate off of prompter and he’s actually very cold and stiff. Just watch the entire first press conference of Pretend President Elect Uh-Bummer and see for yourself.

    2. He still thinks Socialism is the answer, more government is NOT the answer. He said yesterday that the Government will do whatever it takes to revive the economy. HT Drudge Headline for Sun Nov 16.

3.He says the Constitution is fundamentally flawed and the framers had a serious blind spot. How in the hell is he going to swear to uphold and defend the constitution which has protected Americans for over 200 years?

    4. His friends and why stupid liberals couldn’t make the connection. You are who your friends are, i.e. Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko and all the other Clinton crooks that he’s bringing back into the White House.

    5. He’s so soft on terrorism and thinks the world is a safe place and everyone will be our friends. No, the terrorists are so happy to have a softie and a soft target that they’ll be better able to advance their agenda now.

I could go on and on. This is like a bad nightmare I keep waking up to that this fraud has been elected. There are a lot of other reasons.

  29. 1sttofight says:

My worst fear is that enough US citizens were stupid, ignorant, on the take, communist, marxist, socialist, ect to vote for this SOB in the first place.

It is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

If you have a job, quit and live off the gov like all the ones who voted for this POS-elect.

When all the freebies run out, we will take the country back, reinstall the US Constitution, Hang the first politition who even mentions running for re-election to the office he/she holds.

All we have to do is hold on until 2012 when SarahCuda is elected .

  30. Colonel1961 says:

Pro, I agree per se, but we are NOT headed for a depression. Period.

Sadly, you’re absolutely right. My biggest fear is that over the next four years, anyone that voted for Osama and the majority of the lefty Congress will never come to realize, much less admit, that they are to blame for the problems this country will be experiencing at that time. And then they’ll give him another 4 years in office.

  32. The Redneck says:

What scares me is that he might die in office.

Can you imagine a President Biden?

If that don’t scare you, try President Pelosi…..

  33. bosnywash1 says:

    3 things:

    1. Abortion. Obama is so freakin’ pro-death and anti-life he was willing to step out of his “I only vote present/don’t show up” mindset and vote against protecting children already outside their mother’s womb. He views children as a punishment. He has a 100% pro-death rating from the NARAL. That’s further left than anyone in Congress. I shudder to think that he’s promised to sign away all restriction on abortion and has demanded that we move away from all debate on the issue.
I fear not only will he sign away all restrictions to save human life but will start mandating the advocacy of abortions and abortions themselves with federal money. Worse, he’ll start demanding abortions on women who are poor or where the child has down syndrome.

    2. His friendship with Ayers, Wright, and now other radicals. Obama is close with the by any means necessary crowd and the i hate america crowd; I fear this national civilian force will be used to combat american forces with indoctrination and violence.

    3. Kenne-deification. Already somewhat happened. Kennedy was deified after death despite being a ediocre president because 1) he was the first irish-catholic president; 2) he was young and good looking and “glamorous”; and 3) he died early in office. Even today, you have the people who think he was a great president (despite a mediocre record) and people still holidng up Jackie O as some great first lady–because she dressed well and looked pretty (and promptly married another rich dude soon after Kennedy died).
With Kennedy, everything was/is about wonderful he was. Nothing was ever questioned. Everything he did was good and pure and light. He could cheat on his wife, blow it with Russia and Cuba, bow down to special interests, create the ultimate in cronyism by making his brother AG (assuring his power would never be investigated) and going after political opponents ruthlessly–and he’s St. John today. And if Kennedy did things that every other president did–such as give a speech or write a book or be attractive—Kennedy was neverltheless “the best speaker,” best writer, or best looking—and if you didn’t agree, you were a fool. I disagree on all three counts and more—but the same thing is happening to the Obamamessiah.
The only thing that keeps Obamessiah from Kenne-deification is the fact that Kennedy became a martyr and died too young to have his record exposed by opponents. I assume that Obama will not be assasinated, therefore, there is hope that he will be exposed for the death-loving fraud that he is. But Then again, Teddy Kennedy is still in the Senate, despite being a murderous, adulterous, lying, thieving, child-killing, woman-abusing cocaine addict–and still gets the Kennedy glow.
    Teflon Dons.

  34. BatK says:

Been doing some research on the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR)… McCain, Obama, Palin, and Biden are ALL members. I have begun to wonder if McCain threw the election on purpose with his horrific campaigning, handcuffing Palin, etc. Check out yahoo for an article today about McCain working to HELP Obama. Grab your guns, your religion, and your passport.

  35. The Redneck says:

It’s times like this I start wondering about secession…..

  36. proreason says:

“But Then again, Teddy Kennedy is still in the Senate, despite being a murderous, adulterous, lying, thieving, child-killing, woman-abusing cocaine addict–and still gets the Kennedy glow.”

    Why is this?

John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Ted Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, Barney Franks, Harry Reid, Chris Dodd, Charles Rangel, Marion Barry, Kwame Kilpatrick, and on and on and on.

The more dispicable a human being you are, the easier it seems to be to get elected to high office

I don’t know any criminals in my personal life, but the % of national leaders who are criminals must approach 50%

How can that be? What kind of an electorate is it? What can motivate people to continue to put criminals in office?

  37. The Redneck says:

I can’t find it anymore, but there was somebody who compiled the criminal records of Congress. The number who inherited their wealth, the number convicted of bribe-taking, the drunk-driving charges, the ‘domestic violence’, the charges of rape, the whole nine yards. It was pretty friggin’ disturbing.

  38. DEZ says:

Not sure if thats what your looking for red?

  39. VMAN says:

I think the thing that is most disturbing is the mindless hoards who voted for this guy.

  40. 11ten1775 says:

    Fascinating comments, as usual.
My worst fears are for my children and my freedom to educate them as I see fit. The upside is that the big liberal snobs can’t handle the idea of their own children going to the public schools they claim to have so much confidence in, so we might be okay on that. Wasn’t it amazing how quickly RINO Schwarzenegger jumped in to defend homeschoolers months ago? He and Maria know the minute libs tighten their hands around the necks of homeschoolers, their private schools are next. All parents owe a great debt to HSLDA – I don’t know of any group in America that fights more vigilantly for our freedoms than they do.
Taxes, bailouts, trade, foreign policy… none of that makes me want to cling to guns more than the thought of some social worker on my doorstep telling me what to do with my children.
But, as others here have mentioned, the masses have grown complacent. Search “productive contributors and global society” and see how many grade school mission statements and mottos it pulls up. Parents aren’t batting an eyelid. The only thing left is to stop calling them students and refer to them as the “future proletariat.” I don’t think that would even wake the masses from their coma.
Back to work now… Future Patriots to teach…

  41. pinandpuller says:

I was listening to a guy today talking about the Kyoto Protocols and it got me a little more scared about 60 dems in the senate. PEBO + 60 dems in the senate= whatever treaties Obama wants to sign. Treaties are law of the land and can they not supercede the Constitution and Bill of Rights?

  42. proreason says:

“Treaties are law of the land and can they not supercede the Constitution and Bill of Rights?

    Constitution? Bill of Rights?

speedbumps on the road to Socialism.

We’re talkin change man. No time for any stuff older than McCain for goodness sake.

“I think the thing that is most disturbing is the mindless hoards who voted for this guy.”

Here’s a good example of how to create those mindless hoards….our school board just approved a new “rule” where teachers are not to give “zeros” or “F’s” to their students any longer. They have been mandated to give instead, a grade of 50%, even if the student does no work but at least attends class.

I am not making this up. It means that Billy can show up to class, sit on his ass all day, sleep, doodle, learn absolutely nothing, and still pass. Kids who do the work, try hard, but still come up short will get the same grade as Billy, and also realize why Billy walks around the school with a smirk on his face.

This has ceased to be “education” in my county. This is nothing more than “entitlement 101” indoctrination being subtly injected into the minds of these kids. These are the future “mindless hoards” that will vote repeatedly for the candidate that promises rewards for no work.

So if you wonder why people vote for a socialist, perhaps this will give you a peek at the future, and how easily the socialist agenda is injected into the minds of our youth…..and thus the voting booth.

  44. JohnMG says:

sheehanjihad; ……”Kids who do the work, try hard, but still come up short will get the same grade as Billy…..”

This is the true essense of socialism. Tellingly, the “mindless hordes” will never “get it”, for they are too stupid to realize what they have called down on all of us. The net result is equality of the masses, all right. Equality by virtue of the “law of unintended consequences”, whereby the unworthy are not elevated, but the capable are relegated to a lower stature. And the handful in the “ruling class” dictate to everyone else

How can anyone subscribe to such a perverted view of ‘justice’?

  45. VMAN says:

Sorry I misspelled “Hordes”. I guess that comes from my guvment edumacation.
Just remember what a friend of mine who escaped from Cuba told me “They (the communists) take two steps forward and ones step back”. We need to watch this guy. CLOSELY!!!!!

  46. JohnMG says:

VMAN; …….” Sorry I misspelled “Hordes”. I guess that comes from my guvment edumacation……”

Probably could have spelled it ‘whordes’ and been more accurately descriptive. That reminds me of the inner city woman who went to the bank with an enormous sack full of quarters, and told the teller she wanted to open a savings account. The teller, clearly impressed with such a huge collection of 25-cent pieces said, “Did you hoard all of that money yourself?”, to which the woman said, “No, my sister whored half of it?”

Face it folks, The ignorant are now in the majority of voters in the USA.

    Zogby Poll

    512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points

97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates

Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions

57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)

81.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)

82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)

88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)

56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance by guessing).

    And yet…..

Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes

Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter

And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her “house,” even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!

Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct.

Only .5% got all of them correct. (And we “gave” one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey)

Yet their votes count just as much as yours does.

Pro, I agree per se, but we are NOT headed for a depression. Period.

If there was anything “like” the depression, it would look something like this:

Dez – your list is a sham – as Ted Kennedy wasn’t on it.

To answer Proreason’s question – I do believe that these scum are elected/re-elected because it makes people feel better about themselves – as in 1) gee, I’m not such a bad guy, look at Senator So-And-So or 2) see, everybody does it, I ain’t so bad. And of course the scum in DC encourage it – so that the worse and less educated, moral and concerned the ‘masses’ become, the more laws, control and power they themselves can pass.

I got the following in 2005 – which does make the point too:

Can you imagine working for a company that has
a little more than 500 employees and has the
    following statistics:

36 have been accused of spousal abuse

7 have been arrested for fraud

19 have been accused of writing bad checks

117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least
    2 businesses

3 have done time for assault

71, repeat 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad

14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

8 have been arrested for shoplifting

21 currently are defendants in lawsuits. and

84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last

Can you guess which organization this is?

Give up yet? . . . Scroll down, Folks!

It’s the 535 members of the United States

The same group of Idiots that crank out
hundreds of new laws each year
designed to keep the rest of us in line.

Thanks for the link 1st. It was very amusing. I think we all know how ignorant Obama voters are; it is just funny to watch them display their dearth of knowledge. The worst part is that lady who said she wouldn’t change her vote after the epiphany. Democrats remind me of one of my favorite quotes, from John Gardner:

“That is their happiness: they see all life without observing it. They’re buried in it like crabs in mud.”

  54. pdsand says:

I worry that as the years drag on, less and less Americans will remember or be taught the ideas that America was founded on. The idea that we have individual liberty in this country. That we as Americans have no right to tell one another what to do. Liberals operate from the basic assumption that all issues are up for policy debate. That no matter what the issue may be, light bulb wattage, high-water usage toilets, fuel efficiency in cars, or the number of bullets that your gun can hold, that we can all come together at the federal level and set reasonable policy on what’s allowable and what isn’t. It’s just so completely opposed to the great ideas of America’s founding. Whatever happened to the Zell Millers of life who stood in the U.S. Senate and said that it’s not the proper place of the Federal Government to be policing chickens? Under Obama the federal government will be vigorously policing chickens, and seat belts, and light bulbs, and cigarettes, and corporate payrolls, and bathrooms where transgender people want to pee, and exhaust pipes, and whatever else. And as long as it doesn’t really interfere with a lot of peoples’ lives, then they’ll just keep letting it go on and on and on. And they’ll figure, ‘yes, that rule makes a lot of sense, I agree’.
People need to remember the way it used to be, that in my house you can’t tell me what to do. In my store, you can’t tell me what to do. On the floor of my factory, you can’t tell me what to do. Well the government can’t tell you what to do either. The government of the United States is the people. If you wouldn’t stand for your neighbor to come on to your lawn and tell you to xeroscape your yard, or to change your light bulbs, why would you lie idly by and let the government? It doesn’t matter if the proposed regulation is sensible, middle of the road, or in the interest of safety. The Government doesn’t have any right to tell Americans what they have to do.
But our children aren’t taught this anymore, and for the foreseeable future it looks like another fresh crop of children won’t be taught this way either. And what if one day down the road nobody even thinks this way? That’s my greatest fear of the Obama administration.

psand – Too many Americans have forgotten (or never knew) the fundamental character that makes us American. The no BS attitude along with the ultimate value of truth and high standards. We tolerate the attacks on God, family and country as if the cost may be ignored. Our forefathers would have been up in arms and sacrificing their lives at just the smell of this evil.

  58. Eagle334th says:

My worst fear is that I will not be able to keep my 1 yr old daughter safe from the next attack.

I have no doubt that it’s coming. I just always figured I, my husband, his family, and my family could fend for themselves when the next one came. I, now, have a beautiful baby girl, and I fear for her future.

It’s a scarey thing, and I’ve had my fair share of nightmares about it. Not, necessarily, because Obama will be President, but because of the transition and what is going on in the world today. His statements and ads during his campaign sure as hell haven’t helped communication with other countries.. allies or enemies. I, probably, would have been able to predict our future with Hillary or McCain better than Obama..

I’ve never felt so uncertain about the future, before, except that something bad is sure to happen..

  59. crosspatch says:

My greatest fear is that he will be a repeat of Carter. And as a result, a lot of people are going to die over a very long time who wouldn’t need to otherwise.

Carter, rather than engaging in Iran and demanding a change to constitutional monarchy and establishment of democratic institutions decided, instead, to run away. As a result the Russians invaded Afghanistan and the mullahs in Iran began to export their brand of Islamo-fascism to Lebanon by creating, training, and supplying Hezbollah. The Russians would have never invaded Afghanistan had we still had a strong presence in Iran. The eventual outcome of that was the birth of al Qaeda and the Taliban. People are still fighting and dying there. Israel recently fought a war with Hezbollah. These deaths can all be placed in the lap of Jimmy Carter and are what happens when America is weak and runs away.

In Central American I am already seeing the return of a situation similar to that during the Carter administration. Ortega recently stole the election in Nicaragua and the Sandinista communists are working their way back into power. Russian leaders are visiting Venezuela. Hezbollah is beginning to gain a presences in the region and apparently using cocaine trafficking as a funding mechanism.

I have a seven year old son.

It is now almost 30 years since Carter left office and our sons and daughters are still dying for his mistakes. My greatest fear is that my son will die for Obama’s mistakes.

  60. 11ten1775 says:

Agreed – pdsand – a thousand times over. The asnwer starts with those of us charged with this “crop” putting the government out of the business of education. But even most conservatives will look at you like you’re crazy if you say that. Parents – entirely responsible for their children’s education?! Then the, “But what about…?” questions begin. Poor people, single moms, orphans… The government has to help! It amazes me how much of what used to be handled through the churches is now handled by Uncle Sam. Our faith has shifted – in big government (Obama) we trust.

  61. crosspatch says:

“It amazes me how much of what used to be handled through the churches is now handled by Uncle Sam.”

Or not even though church but even through community civic organizations. People would pull together and help each other out. Government programs kill that off because there is this nameless, faceless government who sends you a check. When your neighbors get together and pass the hat and help you out or maybe just offer their labor to help rebuild a damaged house … it builds community. Government programs destroy community. People no longer depend on each other or have gratitude. There is nobody to be grateful to except “the state”. It also reinforces bad behavior. A person can be an absolute schmuck but they still get their check from the government. In the past if a person was thief or swindler, the community wouldn’t be so quick to help them out. It acted as an additional force to moderate behavior. Now you can cheat everyone in town and still “get by” on government support where the community would have cut you off long ago if it was in their power to do so.

Government programs contribute to the tragedy of the commons. Free money destroys people, families, and communities.
