steve, maybe you could add a new section here,
    maybe call it
What does it matter now anyhow.
this could be the first post.

“In late October, 1967, Kennedy authorized Pierre Salinger to call the first meeting of the dynastic loyalists.”
Bobby was getting the band back together for his campain.
one of The Faithful was Ted Sorensen.
as i was also reading his Orwell like biography of President Kennedy,
there was one item i always wanted verified.
    that is the Pulitzer Prize book;

    Profiles in Courage
    John Kennedy

and like a busy bee i gathered this for your viewing .

Sorenson Admits ‘Profiles in Courage’ Role
    James Joyner • Friday, May 9, 2008 •
Ted Sorenson has finally admitted that he had a large role in writing Profiles in Courage, for which John F. Kennedy won a Pulitzer Prize as a solo author.
According to a Wall Street Journal review, Sorensen says, for the first time, that he “did a first draft of most chapters,” “helped choose the words of many of its sentences” and likely “privately boasted or indirectly hinted that I had written much of the book.”

In other words, he wrote the book, Kennedy did some very late editing, and claimed it as his own work.
Sorensen also admits that in 1957 — just after the book won a Pulitizer Prize — that Kennedy “unexpectedly and generously offered, and I happily accepted, a sum” for Sorensen’s work on the book.

    but in his sanitized biography,

    Ted Sorensen wrote;

“This is the first time that I have reread every page and word of this book since completing it in 1965. I am happy to say I find it’s “not bad”
Today I would not change a word of this book, including its evaluations of JFK and his presidency. True, Counselor is better in sorting out his policy priorities with more perspective, contains more about Kennedy’s personal life and mine, more about the Cuban Missile Crisis, the presidential campaign and transition, and more about my strained relations with a few White House colleagues. However, I find no outright contradictions between the two books, almost no duplication and few if any words or claims that I would recant.”
My purpose is neither to condemn nor condone the actions of others, nor to substitute my judgment for my subject’s. My only obligation is to the truth about Kennedy.
Historical truths, to be sure, are rarely the object of unanimity. Recollections differ, opinions differ, even the same facts appear different to different people.

    in the book, he said;

“The charge was long rumored in private, despite the fact that the Senator had written a best-selling book years earlier. Finally it was made publicly by columnist Drew Pearson on the ABC television Mike Wallace Show on Saturday night, December 7, 1957.
Mr. Pearson, when telephoned by ABC in the presence of the Senator and Clifford, said that Ted Sorensen had “written” the book—not merely worked on the assembly and preparation of the materials upon which much of the book was based, as the Senator had fully acknowledged in the Preface, but had actually been its author.
The ABC executives, after privately cross-examining me at length, finally agreed that the Senator was clearly the author of Profiles in Courage with sole responsibility for its concept and contents, and with such assistance, during his convalescence, as his Preface acknowledged.
Finally I was called back into the room. It was agreed that I would furnish a sworn statement that I was not the author and had never claimed authorship of Profiles in Courage, and that ABC would make a complete statement of retraction and apology at the opening of the next Mike Wallace Show.”

    Theodore Chaikin “Ted” Sorensen (May 8, 1928 – October 31, 2010)
“The most important aide [Kennedy] ever hired” became a talented mimic of the senator’s writing. He authored many of Kennedy’s articles and speeches.

“Sorensen was President Kennedy’s Special Counsel & Adviser, and primary speechwriter, the role for which he is best remembered today. He was particularly famous for having helped draft the inaugural address in which Kennedy exhorted listeners to “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country”. This call to service is the phrase still most closely associated with the Kennedy administration. Although Sorensen played an important part in the composition of the Inaugural Address, “the speech and its famous turn of phrase that everyone remembers was”, Sorensen firmly states (counter to what the majority of authors, journalists and other media sources have claimed), “written by Kennedy himself”. In later years, when pressed in interviews if he wrote the phrase, Sorenson would reply tongue-in-cheek “Ask not”.
Sorensen played a critical role in drafting Kennedy’s correspondence with Nikita Khrushchev and worked on Kennedy’s first address to the nation about the crisis on October 22.”

“On March 9, 2007, he spoke at an event with then-Senator Barack Obama at New York City’s Grand Hyatt Hotel and officially endorsed him for the presidential election in 2008. Very active in his campaign, Sorensen spoke (early-on and) frequently about the similarities between both Senator Barack Obama’s and Senator John F. Kennedy’s presidential campaigns. He also provided some assistance with President Obama’s 2009 Inaugural Address.”

So JFK, like all leftists, was a liar and everything people think they know about him was propaganda at best.

      I love this part:

Very active in his campaign, Sorensen spoke (early-on and) frequently about the similarities between both Senator Barack Obama’s and Senator John F. Kennedy’s presidential campaigns.

What? They were both full of bullsh#t, the media fawned all over them, both were on endless vacations, they repeatedly lied about what they stood for and what they would try to acomplish, neither had the background they claimed, both had their books ghost written but claimed otherwise and neither ever worked a day in their lives. Also, both thought they were legends in their own minds when it came to sports and intelligence, both were given awards that others deserved and both thought they knew better than their generals when it came to war.

What a joke! Maybe someone will be merciful and the parallel won’t end there.

http://www.amazon.com/Nemesis-Aristotle-Onassis-Triangle-Kennedys/dp/0060580542 — best book I’ve read to piece together the staggering and eye popping facts of the Kennedy Clan and their running Greek Blood-feud with Onassis. Starts with US Navy Joe Sr. seizing Onassis’ drug smuggling ships (between South America and Europe), moves rapidly to wartime and how Onassis managed to illegally purchase a number of T1 and T2 US Navy Oil Tankers which Joe Sr. again blocked transfer of until some power higher up let the deal go through.

Moves into Onassis owning nearly every business in Monaco, but when Rainier came to power Joe Kennedy Sr. had the King’s ear and convinced the King to Nationalize all holdings of Onassis. It wasn’t all that long after that someone managed to assassinate Joe Sr.’s oldest son. Then Onassis wed the widow. And abused her. The ultimate insult. Onassis’ son died in a plane crash. Then his Olympic Airline was the first to be hijacked for ransom by the fledgling PLO. A Palestinian named Sirhan Sirhan murdered Joe Sr”s son Bobby. Much later John Jr. died in a plane crash because of ‘pilot error’.

But wait, there’s more. When Prince Rainier seized Onassis’ holdings in Monaco, Onassis went looking for another isolated but warm weather port to turn into a Monaco and settled on Haiti but the Kennedy clan already had their hooks into Haiti and well …

… see a pattern? Read Nemess.

There’s nothing like a Greek Blood Feud especially when the Greek has more money than you do.

      “Camelot! Camelot!
I know it sounds a bit bizarre
      But in Camelot, Camelot
      That’s how conditions are ”

the 34-year-old widow spoke to the writer, Theodore H. White, for
four hours, urging him to tell the world — through LIFE magazine
      — that Kennedy was truly “a man of magic,” that his
presidency was truly special, that the era was, to use the words
she borrowed from a Broadway musical, “one brief shining
moment that was known as Camelot.”

The writer donated the papers to
the Kennedy Library in 1969, stipulating that they remain sealed
until one year after her death. Called the “Camelot documents,”
A year after Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’ death of cancer
at 64, the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston made public Mr.
White’s notes from that Nov. 29, 1963, interview
in which the romantic Camelot myth was born.

      The young widow
chose Mr. White because, as he would later write, he had been
“friendly,” a journalist who wrote sympathetically and
admiringly of Kennedy, especially in his Pulitzer Prize-winning
book documenting his presidential campaign, The Making of the
      President, 1960.

“In November 1964, two months after the publication of its 888-page report, the Commission published twenty-six volumes of supporting documentsAll of the commission’s records were then transferred on November 23 to the National Archives. The unpublished portion of those records was initially sealed for 75 years (to 2039) under a general National Archives policy that applied to all federal investigations by the executive branch of government a period “intended to serve as protection for innocent persons who could otherwise be damaged because of their relationship with participants in the case.”
The 75-year rule no longer exists, supplanted by the Freedom of Information Act of 1966 and the JFK Records Act of 1992. [The Act requires that each assassination record be publicly disclosed in full, and be available in the collection no later than the date that is 25 years after the date of enactment of the Act (i.e., October 26, 2017), unless the President of the United States certifies that: (1) continued postponement is made necessary by an identifiable harm to the military defense, intelligence operations, law enforcement, or conduct of foreign relations; and (2) the identifiable harm is of such gravity that it outweighs the public interest in disclosure.]
By 1992, 98 percent of the Warren Commission records had been released to the public. Six years later, at the conclusion of the Assassination Records Review Board’s work, all Warren Commission records, except those records that contained tax return information, were available to the public with redactions [Redaction generally refers to the editing or blacking out of text in a document, or to the result of such an effort. It is intended to allow the selective disclosure of information in a document while keeping other parts of the document secret. ]
The remaining Kennedy assassination related documents are scheduled to be released to the public by 2017, twenty-five years after the passage of the JFK Records Act.
The United States House of Representatives Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) was established in 1976 to investigate the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. and the shooting of Alabama Governor George Wallace.
The HSCA suffered from being conducted mostly in secret, and then issued a public report with much of its evidence sealed for 50 years under Congressional rules.
The President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992, or the JFK Records Act, is a public law passed by the United States Congress, effective October 26, 1992. It directed the National Archives and Records Administration to establish a collection of records to be known as the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection. It stated that the collection shall consist of copies of all U.S. government records relating to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963, which shall be transmitted to the National Archives. Assassination records also included those created or made available for use by, obtained by, or otherwise came into the possession of any state or local law enforcement office that provided support or assistance or performed work in connection with a federal inquiry into the assassination.
As of 2012 there are 50,000 pages of government documents relating to the assassination that have not been released
A watchdog group on Thursday sued the National Archives and Records Administration for failing to respond to repeated requests for sealed records of former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, claiming the agency has violated the Freedom of Information Act.
The lawsuit, brought by the Washington-based Judicial Watch on behalf of a Kennedy researcher, stipulates that the National Archives has not heeded public disclosure laws regarding nearly a dozen boxes of Kennedy’s Justice Department files. Those files have been kept in a secure vault at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Dorchester for decades.
The records, whose existence was first detailed by the Globe last year, cover sensitive intelligence operations overseen by Kennedy during the presidency of his brother and Lyndon Johnson.
The contents of the requested boxes include subjects ranging from the Central Intelligence Agency to the minutes from meetings of the so-called “special group” that RFK chaired, and his personal notes on Cuba.
Robert Kennedy, as President Kennedy’s closest aide and confidant, was given unusual responsibility for overseeing covert operations against Communist Cuba and other sensitive national security and foreign policy matters.
A larger collection of his papers, of which the requested files are a part — totaling nearly 60 boxes — has long been sought by researchers and scholars.
But under an unusual agreement reached between the Kennedy family and the National Archives after RFK’s assassination in 1968, his heirs maintain some authority in deciding when the files can be opened.
According to that agreement, the Kennedy family must first deed the records to the National Archives.
RFK’s heirs have been accused of thwarting efforts to make them public, something they have denied.
A reason previously cited by the Archives for the complicated situation is that personal and public documents were originally co-mingled, leading the Kennedys to consider the files family and not government property.”

      Camelot Lyrics

It’s true! It’s true! The crown has made it clear
The climate must be perfect all the year

A law was made a distant moon ago here
July and August cannot be too hot
And there’s a legal limit to the snow here
      In Camelot

The winter is forbidden till December
And exits March the second on the dot
By order, summer lingers through September
      In Camelot

      Camelot! Camelot!
I know it sounds a bit bizarre
      But in Camelot, Camelot
      That’s how conditions are

The rain may never fall till after sundown
By eight, the morning fog must disappear
      In short, there’s simply not
      A more congenial spot
      For happily-ever-aftering than here
      In Camelot

      Camelot! Camelot!
I know it gives a person pause
      But in Camelot, Camelot
      Those are the legal laws

The snow may never slush upon the hillside.
By nine p.m. the moonlight must appear
      In short, there’s simply not
      A more congenial spot
      For happily-ever-aftering than here
      In Camelot

“No, no. I have been practicing…I bowled a 129. It’s like — it was like Special Olympics, or something.” –making an off-hand joke during an appearance on “The Tonight Show”, March 19, 2009 (Obama later called the head of the Special Olympics to apologize)

‘I had the great honor of seeing some of you because a comrade of yours, Jared Monti, was the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honor to who actually came back and wasn’t receiving it posthumously.’
To Mr Obama’s embarrassment, the hero soldier was killed in action in Afghanistan on June 21, 2006, and awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously on September 17, 2009.

      ‘Polish death camp’

and maybe someone could find the one where he called it a MEDAL OF HONOR ,instead of the Freedom, after awarding it to a non military. Native American early in his first term..

What do you expect from a Phony President of the US.

Just a life long loser who was substandard in school and ended up teaching part-time blow off classes in which he improvised his own curriculum to suit himself. Not one person has come out and said he was a good teacher. Only his home country in Africa made him a Doctor to aid the imposter who tries to convince the world he is the smartest person in the world.

They need to start giving Presidential candidates standard educational tests that students nationwide have to take.

    • Petronius says:

      Good one, GBJ :

“Don’t think we’re not keeping score, brother.” – the tyrant Nerobama to Rep. Peter DeFazio (Bolshevik, OR), when DeFazio voted against the regime’s stimulus spending bill. DeFazio had objected to watering down the bill to attract votes from Senate RINOs (2009).

    • Petronius says:

And yes, captstubby — with his “Polish death camps” remark Nerobama managed to insult two allies, Poland and Germany, in one sentence, a first for American presidents.

    • Noyzmakr says:

Between Petronius and captstubby, I’ve gotten quite an education today….and a lot of laughs. Thanks all.

While the Obama administration refuses to prosecute CAIR for funneling money to the Hamas a terrorist fraction in Palestine…

Egypt to prosecute ousted Mursi for ties to the Hamas terrorist group..

  4. canary says:

wow. Obama’s phony remark has brought out a survivor of Benghazi who has been hospitalized for ten months having nearly lost his leg in carrying victims from the compound.

32 more need to talk. I guess nearly getting murdered by our government they fear for their lives.

And to think our phoney leader thanked Libyan citizens for their aid and doctors for spending 1 hour and 45 minutes trying to revive an already dead US Ambassador.

It’s possible they are afraid they won’t get medical treatment or made a deal with the govt not to speak and they will get paid a pension the rest of their lives.

That Judge on Justice with Jeanine FOX really tells it like it is.

  5. canary says:

Petronius, Huckabee just did a piece on what happened where the incident happened with your daughter; same place they stormed those girls. He showed footage of the area and then had a guy whose house the police swat team broke into shooting, killing one if his dogs. They got the wrong house, they thought it was a drug house, and this was a very nice house of an officer.

And they said under Obama these police swat teams have increased over 3000% to 80,000 unnecessary use of local police dressed in black masks where you can’t even see their faces.
How all the police are pulling military exercises, no doubt to practice Marshal Law.

And how at the college speech where Obama called recent scandals phony, college students wearing patriot shirts or Republicans youth club t-shirts were not allowed in for security reasons. They should have wore hoodies and skittles and taken their hoodies off once they got inside.
I guess the president was judging them by what they wore. The students did not applaud immediately after he said the phony scandals. He paused and so they realized he expected the applause. Probably had a screen up that said “applaud now”.

And the 3rd guy at the U.S. Ambassador who nearly lost his leg carrying out the victims was named Ubin and left to die for 20 hours on the roof. The supposed bus that transported the others even left him.

  6. canary says:

This was sent to me. The way I have tried to put it before is the story in the bible where the people decided to build a tower to heaven. When their language changed, confusion and chaos prevented them from going in further. This is why I say there is a problem when non-speaking Hispanics and Asians answer “yes, yes, yes” no matter what you ask or tell them. They pretend to know everything and pretend they can do anything and mistakes are going to lead to things breaking and deaths. It was nice to hear a young man yesterday mention that Americans
should be holding on to our cultures that have got us to being a great country and stop bringing in cultures that won’t prosper this country. It’s ruining American children’s education. We are to be an ambassador to visiting foreigners and show them our way. Let them do their own way on their time. This year’s the towns college is having two orientation days. One for multi-“cultural” and the other. The other has to pay $50 dollars come to find out as it’s not on the phamplet of
    hitting the pinata.

I guess they’ll have occupy week where students have to camp on campus in cardboard boxes to see how homeless live for a week. Wonder what that will cost.

    Sent from someone

Wherever you stand on this issue, please take the time to read this; it should wake you from your careless slumber on this important truth.

We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado. In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington, DC , filled to capacity by many of America’s finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Hansen Davis talked about his latest book, “Mexifornia”, explaining how immigration – both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California. He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America.

The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States. He said, “If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let’s destroy America. It is not that hard to do. No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that ‘An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.’”

“Here is how they do it,” Lamm said.

“First, to destroy America, turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultural country. History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: ‘The histories of bilingual and bicultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy.’ Canada, Belgium, Malaysia, and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, Corsicans and Muslims.”

    Lamm went on:

“Second, to destroy America , invent ‘multiculturalism’ and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. Make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal; that there are no cultural differences. Make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.”

“Third, we could make the United States an ‘Hispanic Quebec’ without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: ‘The apparent success of our own multi-ethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentricity and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together.’ Lamm said, “I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities.”

“Fourth, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school.”

“My fifth point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of ‘Victimology.’ I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority placation.”

“My sixth plan for America’s downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other – that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common language and literature; and they worshipped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy, Persia, threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. “E. Pluribus Unum” — From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the ‘pluribus’ instead of the ‘Unum,’ we will ” Balkanize ” America as surely as Kosovo.”

“Next to last, I would place all subjects off limits. Make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of ‘diversity.’ I would find a word similar to ‘heretic’ in the 16th century – that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like ‘racist’ or ‘xenophobe’ halt discussion and debate. Having made America a bilingual/bicultural country, having established multi-culturalism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of ‘Victimology,’ I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America, it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them.”

In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed. Finally he said, “Lastly, I would censor Victor Hanson Davis’s book ‘Mexifornia.’ His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America. If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don’t read that book.”

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Even barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate ‘diversity.’ American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America. Take note of California and other states. To date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell’s book “1984.” In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: “War is peace,” “Freedom is slavery,” and “Ignorance is strength.”

Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don’t get this immigration monster stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path, especially The American Dream.

If you care for and love our country as I do, take the time to pass this on just as I did for you. NOTHING is going to happen if you don’t!

“If we ever forget that we’re one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under” – Ronald Reagan

Leading Defense Republicans Demand Fix of Missile Defense Failures
    Thursday, July 11, 2013
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Leading defense Republicans, U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), Ranking Member of the Senate Armed Services (SASC) Committee; Congressman Howard “Buck” McKeon (R-CA-25), Chairman of the House Armed Services (HASC) Committee; U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R- Ala.), Ranking Member of SASC Subcommittee on Strategic Forces; and Congressman Mike Rogers (R-AL-03), Chairman of HASC Subcommittee on Strategic Forces, today sent a letter to Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel expressing concern over the recent failed test of the ground-based midcourse defense (GMD) system and requested a plan to resolve the cause of the failures.

In the letter, the Members wrote: “It is already clear that President Obama’s decision to drastically cut funding for the GMD program since he came to office and to ‘curtail addition GMD development,’ has drained funding available to conduct needed tests of this system…
Regardless of the causes of the recent flight test failures, we encourage you to make the development and deployment of a new kill vehicle one of your highest priorities, especially in light of your recent announcement to deploy an additional 14 ground-based interceptors to Alaska to address the growing threat from North Korea.”

The Members continued: “In closing, we seek your assurance that defending the American people against long-range missile threats remains the top missile defense priority of the United States. Additionally, we ask the Director, Missile Defense Agency provide us, as soon as possible, an action plan to resolve the cause of the failure of the recent missile defense test, conduct a new intercept test of that system, and to provide a clear roadmap for the development and fielding of a next generation kill vehicle for the GMD system that will be required to stay ahead of the long-range ballistic missile threats to the United States.”

Interesting. Obama killed the switch in 2009 and with the sequester things are worse. Too busy
spying on Americans his number priority.

I just saw a segment on Fox and Freinds about the Sea Turtle hospital at Surf City, Topsail Island, NC (Actually it’s at South Topsail) where I lived for four years back in the 90’s. They were releasing a sea turtle back into the sea. These folks do a lot of good for injured sea turtles and it’s neat to see them help these turtles recover but when it comes to the turtles laying eggs and the nests, these folks go into whacko mode. All spring and summer there are nests that are surrounded with police tape. If you go near one you can get in serious trouble. When the eggs hatch, hundreds of libs turn out to help the soon to be fish food into the sea. Out of about 200 hatchlings, about 2 will survive to reproduce.

Back in 1998, my sister was bragging about how her and her spawn had helped the turtles back to the sea the night before and I told her “I don’t know how these turtles survived all these millinium without you bleeding heart liberals to help them into the ocean.” She didn’t speak to me for two months….LOL!!!
