My, my, my, the only nation that would assist TCP in bombing Syria
was France, one of the leading military nations on the planet (Sarc.).
Now he wants Congress, whenever they get back to work, to back
him up. Personally, I don’t get too incensed over foreign nations and
their difficulties, as we have enough of those needing attention here.
If they don’t like their rulers, then they should do something about it.
It shouldn’t be that hard to slip an assassin through the security boys
and help someone else to become the oppressor. Look out, Virgins,
here come Assad. Or, maybe its Virginians. Must look it up sometime.

    • TCP????

I was just thinking. If the male matryrs get 72 virgins in 72 mansions in 72 gardens, ect., ect….. What do women in islam get when they are martyred for the Babylonian moon god? A new burqa? Maybe 72 men to beat her, feed, clean up after and escort her everywhere she goes in eternity?

      Just a query.

    • To me, it just doesn’t pass the smell test when Muslim men are promised things in the after-life that are forbidden here on Earth.
Gluttony and Lust seems to be the top of the list, including the consumption of alcohol.

If Allah is so strict then why tempt his followers with that which is forbidden? Why would it be Ok in heaven but not here on Earth?

It would be like a Christian God saying, “Murder is absolutely wrong, but if you kill for me, you can murder all you want in heaven!”
“Thou shalt not have sex with a woman that you are not married to, but if you kill for me, you can sex with 72 women you are not married to, sound good?”
      –wah wah wah what?

TCP. The Current President. I don’t use his name much.

what Republicans never learn is that after the Democrats suffer an election defeat,
they publicly lay out their future strategy.
and then win the next election.

    1968 campaign speech.

“As President, ” said Humphrey, “I would stop the bombing of North Vietnam as an acceptable risk for peace because I believe it could lead to success in the negotiations and thereby shorten the war. This would be the best protection of our troops. In weighing that risk, and before taking action, I would place key importance on evidence of Communist willingness to restore the demilitarized zone between North and South Vietnam. Now if the government of North Vietnam were to show bad faith, I would reserve the right to resume the bombing…. Secondly, I would take the risk that the South Vietnamese would meet the responsibilities they say they are now ready to assume in their own self-defense; I would move, in other words, towards de-Americanization of the war…. Third, I would propose once more an immediate cease-fire, with United Nations or other international supervision, and supervised withdrawal of all foreign forces from South Vietnam.”

How could such a brilliant policy fail?

Well, that didn’t work with voters this time,

    So …

” The problem of money still so haunts the veterans of the Humphrey campaign that their bitterness is worth underlining. “We could have won, and we should have won, ” Humphrey tells old friends who call these days. He will list the reasons for failure—the disaster of television coverage in Chicago, the rift with the McCarthy wing of the Party, the lack of a campaign plan. And then he will come down on money. “It’s not the amount of money you get, it’s when you get it, ” he says, for without sure money there can be no plan for media production or for programming. In the final week of the campaign, with $500, 000 of sudden extra money for television, the Humphrey campaign managers found themselves literally unable to buy television time in California—all the time available for politics had been bought up by local and state candidates previously. “We finally got about five or six million dollars, all in all, ” recalls campaign manager O’Brien now; “if we’d finally gotten ten million dollars, we could have licked Nixon. And that scares me. The old tradition of sleeves-rolled-up volunteers may work in the primaries; but in a campaign there has to be more and more reliance on the fat cats who put up the money for the media, not on the volunteers. The impact of the media, ” continues O’Brien, “is the Democratic Party’s major problem in the future, just the fantastic cost of the media. If we hadn’t been able to match Nixon dollar for dollar in the last two weeks, this would have been the debacle everyone predicted. If you figure that by setting up a twenty-five-million-dollar media budget, and making a game of who gets the best time slots and who hires the most creative media talent—and if you elect a President that way, what the Hell’s the country coming to?”

    • Republicans don’t realize is that Democrats have a POINT SYSTEM to keep their members in line. Vote the way they want, and money comes rolling in (carrot). Don’t show up to protest, don’t get support or that promotion you were looking for (stick).

If Republicans actually whipped their members in line, we wouldn’t have the Marco Rubios, or John McCains to worry about, because they wouldn’t have had any money to run their campaigns. They would censor themselves because they know the hammer would fall upon them, but as it is, it doesn’t, and the voters are too stupid to punish them.

the demoncrats have the perfect distraction for the low infos (which apparently includes the republican congress).
while they sit around debating whether to shoot a Tomahawk at an empty tent, bamacare rolls over us like a freight train.
    why can’t those idiots in congress use a similar strategy the demons used;
we have to stop it ’til we find out what’s in it !!

One thing I want to make sure people don’t get sucked into is a debate on where the Syrian rebels may have obtained the weapon had they chosen o kill their own people.

The gas turned out not to be VX, which is hard to make, but rather Sarin, which is first year Chemical Engineering easy to make.

Recall the 1995 Japanese subway attack by the Aum Shinrikyo doomsday cult; that was with Sarin gas they made themselves in a back-room lab.
