Thomas Sowell, the “Tom” journalist who is always “acting White”
had an interesting column today titled, “Don’t risk war over one
man’s Ego” covering the history of letting ego over-ride caution

I can’t believe Chris Christie made several comments how libertarians are dangerous to the US.

We will never hear Chris Christie say “the left” is dangerous to the US. He depends on their vote right now.

Instead of figuring out what started the fire Christie is too busy promising money and making
insensitive statement that two days is enough time for people to mourn.

Chris Christie and Marco Rubio have sealed their fate as far as I’m concerned. I will never trust either one of them, and I won’t make the same mistake I made in 2008. I held my nose and voted for McCain and that behavior only encourages their RINO tendencies, and gives the GOP the false idea that they can continue to nominate moderates and take the base for granted.

Same here Noyz. As you’ve undoubtedly heard many times. If they can’t vote to defund Obamacare, then they can’t be trusted to do anything.

I will work for defeating anyone who does not vote to defund it. There are no more excuses….it should be a “no brainer” to vote to defund this monstrosity. If it’s not defunded, we lose the Republic.

Wanted to thanks Steve for all of his hard work and dedication in putting the S&L web site together. I know most of us regular readers can’t get enough of this site. With that in mind, I wanted to see if there was any way Steve or one of the regular readers could make a version to read on your phone. I have do do some commuting and cannot read this site easily on my phone.

In only a few short months and 2013 is history. While I don’t like wishing my life away, I cannot wait until anyone but Obama is President. This site makes my daily countdown to that reality that much easier….Thanks Steve.

Kev, I had a plugin that worked for mobile devices for years. But I turned it off a while back because I didn’t think anyone was using it.

I will play with some newer plugins over the next few hours/days. Let me know if they don’t help the situation.

Steve – I installed Google’s Chrome browser on my Android phone last night. WOW, what a difference! Don’t have to re-size the type. This is a vast improvement from the standard browser I’ve been using.

    • Steve says:

Kev, with the plugin for mobile devices I’m using now, you can turn it off and on. So whichever works best for you.

    • Noyzmakr says:

I’m usingan Android tablet using the Firefox browser, and I must say I prefer the mobile look. It sure is much faster on my particular setup.

My only suggestion would be to make the ‘Buzz’ and Reader Selected News’ categories available somewhere in the menu and it would be perfect. Just my two cents.

    • Steve says:

Noyz, I’ve added Buzz. Not sure I can add Selected News.

    • Noyzmakr says:

      Yes, sweet.

I tried the ‘buzz’ link but no comments appeared. That could be on my end. Hold on, I’ll try another browser…I have three.

I tried Opera, Firefox and my built in browser and all three show the same thing. I tap the ‘buzz’ link and it quickly shows, but with no comments.

I have noticed that particular page loads slower than others and also the comments begin at the top of the page, but by the time it loads completely they begin very low on the page under the bottom of the last side panel. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it.

I still like the mobil platform though. :-)

    • Steve says:

Noyz, the Buzz page doesn’t seem to want to load. Sorry. I’ll keep trying, but mobile plugins tend to be limited.

    • Noyzmakr says:

No problem. It works better than the NFL does right at the moment. Weather delays??? Benjamin Franklin invented many great and useful things. Bi-focal glasses, wood stoves that kept all your heat from escaping up the chimney, and a little thing called lightning rods? They really do work! Maybe the NFL should look into them.

They’re turning us into a country of wimps, and it’s becoming obvious to the rest of the world. A bunch of (synonym for cats)!

First comment I heard about D.C. Navy Yard mass shooter Aaron Alexis was from his friend who was difficult to understand because he was Tia. He said the shooter wasn’t Tia, but something that rhymed with Tia. The shooter spoke fluent Tia. His friend said he had a permit for a concealed weapon and carried one.

Dishonorable discharge from the US Military for pattern of misconduct.
Had a charge in Fort Worth Texas for discharging a gun.
In 2004 in Seattle he shot the tire of a construction worker who parked in front of his home
And he was complaining that the Navy did not pay him for some construction work; a trip(?),
and know one knows if he had clearance to be in the Navy Yard.

Obama is already trying to say another workplace violence. Saying it’s sad enough we loose our service men overseas, but for them to lose their lives in their homeland is sad.

Well, let’s recall Obama released the Yemeni terrorists who killed our US Navy men and Obama is not sad at all about our Ft. Hood US Military who died, dishonoring them that it was a workplace act of violence too.

oh. wait. I hear an Asian friend he lived with for 8 months after meeting him at the temple. So, I guessing he was Hindu as Obama and his step-father were eating animals to take on their power, which eating snake and dog did work. He is calling the 34 year old a good boy, that everyone liked the good boy. He was a good boy. He just wants us to know that.

2nd Suspect was wearing olive drab military outfitting carrying a gun.

Now he fired shots (plural) at the car, but he claimed to police he blacked out from a rage of anger.

And in Texas it was an accident he shot the gun in the apt above. yeah.

  5. canary says:

The 2nd worst massacre at a U.S. Military base has occurred under Obama.

The mass shooter’s best buddy and former roommate is a little difficult to understand as he is Tia and the first live interview in person he said the shooter spoke Tia fluently, but he was not Tia, but something that rhymed with Tia. American does not rhyme with Tia. He had met him at a temple, no doubt a Hindu Temple where they believe in mystical powers, which eating certain animals gives you the powers as boy king and his step daddy practiced hindu and eathing of snake and dog did in deed work on the boy king who does have the behavior of.

His Tia buddy said he had a permit and carried a concealed weapon, but not sure how he gained entrance on to the Navy Yard where once again, our Military Service men and women were not armed.

He has a dishonorable discharge, was arrested in Dallas Ft. Forth for shooting through the ceiling of apt above, and in 2004 shot gun several times at a construction workers tires who parked in front of his grandma’s house.

Now they are saying he won a medal for the global war on terrorism which might be something like Major Hasan who attended DHS meetings and training.

And there is another suspect in olive green drab with a gun they are looking for.

Obama is once again sad for our service men to die on their home soil, and it appears it is being called another “work place violence” because it is being reported the shooter was angry he did not get paid for work, (one friend said “a trip” he made as a contractor for the Navy Yard.

Anyways, a friend is telling the media in regards to the 34 year old man, that he was a good boy. Everyone like him, because he was a good boy. He just wants everyone to know he was a good boy.

  6. canary says:

oops 1st post didn’t take so sorry for the repeat. Hope it’s not a result of technical difficulties caused by some expert working for HP.

“Michael Thacker, director of corporate media relations for Hewlett-Packard, issued the following statement:

“We are deeply saddened by today’s tragic events at the Washington Navy Yard. Our thoughts and sympathies are with all those who have been affected. Aaron Alexis was an employee of a company called ‘The Experts,’ a subcontractor to an HP Enterprise Services contract to refresh equipment used on the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) network. HP is cooperating fully with law enforcement as requested.”

Love the way CNN is showing drawing of an assault weapon when there has been no report
    of such.

One witness says two in uniform were shooting. The other probably from Iraq. Maybe that Tia is mixed up on which very good boy did this.

    • canary says:

Now CNN is saying the dead shooter was wearing military drab green and carried in a bag of weapons and they found another disgruntled employee’s “ex-ID” on the ground. So, if they are saying weapons are missing, did someone count the shooters the guns when they allowed him.

And I read early on DHS was first to say it was not their fault. Well, that first Asian friend had worse English than the 2nd Asian friend and it would appear that this soldier liked hanging around foreigners.

The first poor speaking English Asian buddy interviewed in person said how his friend helped him tremendously when he came to America on how not to be taken advantage and suckered by Americans. And to think Americans have to worry not get suckered by foreigners who not only say ” si si”, but Asians often just nod their head up and own, up and down, and can say “yes” “yes”. Except my most recent experience where a bratty Asian boy who is mean to his little sister said “no” “no” when I offered him a basketball goal. So, I asked his sister as I picked her up off the street, after he brother rammed her with his bicycle and refused my order to help her. Then I learned they don’t speak English at all. Not as bad as the neighbors that just got evicted, that kept breaking into my house, kept vandalizing my car, hid in my home, kept letting my dogs out in front of my nose, an absolute nightmare.
I know I’m not racist because aside everyone telling me call the police and DHS and me saying I didn’t think they’d help. Besides, when my son threatened to call the police they laughed. And then I slipped and said they were black, and my friend said “you didn’t tell me they were black!” I said, that’s why I didn’t call. The police would just look at those cute kids and say I was racist.
