‘Temple Of Obama’ At Mile High Stadium
From The Weekly Standard:
The Temple of Obama
Reuters
reports that “Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama’s big speech on Thursday night will be delivered from an elaborate columned stage resembling a miniature Greek temple.”To which a McCain adviser quipped: “Is this from the Onion?”
We’re sick of Hitlerian comparisons as the next person, but still:
Hey, maybe we will get the ‘Cathedral Of Light,’ too:
And what Albert Speer and Mr. Hitler had in mind for Nuremberg was even more similar:
In any case, there are some clinical delusions of grandeur at work.

Good grief……although the Nazis did do the style and sense of grandeur better. I wonder if they’ll take it all the way and give Obama a crown?

SG - Seems to me the Obama campaign has taken a page from Mel Brook’s “The Producers” “You can make a lot of money with a flop.” “All you have to do is find the right script.” Looks like they found one, huh? Problem is, what if he wins?

His apologists have already told us what to think, so listen up! He is merely trying to recreate the Lincoln Memorial where MLK, Jr. gave his speech.
Yeah, right…

Just an isolated incident. If you ignore the Europe trip, the presidential seal, the arugula, etc.

It would be more appropriate to use a mock-up of Red Square as a backdrop.

Also notice how they call it Mile High Stadium instead of Invesco Field after the CORPORATE sponsers? I’ll bet the people in Denver haven’t called it Mile High Stadium in years. Or are they referring to THC laden delegates. Inquiring minds would love to know.

“Ein Reich, Ein Volk, Ein Obama…” Actually, I think the convention’s going great - for us. BO’s getting no bump in the polls, no matter what he does, in fact he’s actually slipping. The more people see him the more the more they understand that he’s got nothing to offer except a clean shirt and a speech. Willy Loman might have got through life on a smile and a shoeshine but for POTUS that ain’t gonna cut it.
