“jackass” is a pretty good descriptor for the boy king. It amply conveys the notion that he is an arrogant bastard who is going to do whatever he wants, no matter how foolish it is, and no matter how dire the consequences..

Next stunt will be groveling and hand licking.

Seriously…..it had to go through his mind that he would bow because he was vaguely aware that it was somehow significant in Japan. So, he assembled why it’s important in his own little head and came up with a “style all his own” with the intention, of course, to demonstrate some sort of humility, most likely. But again, his self-education is incomplete. The way it was when he talked about the car being invented in the US and the compass invented in the middle east.

He’s not just sophomoric in his “statesman” attempts, he’s downright rude and boorish. I have no real great tolerance for many of the customs that other countries have but when one travels abroad, (rather than WITH one), one must make the effort and take the time to read up and get smart on such things. When even a decent effort is made, they do appreciate it.

However, the biggest mechanism at work here is his inability to take instruction, if anyone tried to tell him, and/or his misplaced self-confidence. The rest of the world probably has more familiarity with Shinto custom than he ever did or will. It’s most likely an annoyance. But also, it was completely unnecessary to do what he did. The bobble-head thing is clearly derived from the point he took from somewhere in a movie that stereotyped a character, like “Gung Ho”.

He’s a walking, talking embarrassment, not up to even the most modest of statesmanship tasks. 3 more years of this is gonna leave me with a very large headache.

On another note, I’ll bet in private the Japanese people probably laughed their asses off.

If you look at the video (on YouTube) he continues his bowing to the Empress. He looks like a dash board bobble head doll.

I think I will from this day forward call Barack Hussein Obama “President O-Bobble-head.”

Obama’s deeper bow is a sign of lower status.

Even more shocking is how Obama is looking at the ground while the Emperor is looking at him. This is a sign of subservience.

The third faux pas is Obama touching the Emperor.

The other photo was seconds after Obama knelt on one knee and kissed the Arabian King, (Obama thought he was in England where you don’t touch the Queen)

Incidently, according to Robert Lacey in “The Kingdom: Arabia and the House of Sa’ud” Abdul Aziz Ibn Sa’ud, the founder of Saudi Arabia, did not allow people to bow to him, as part of his (contrived) “bedouin boy” reputation.

So much for mult-culturalism. A poster on another blog suggested that POTUS is not actually bowing, but mooning the US, and I’m inclined to agree.
