Things That Make You Hate All Democrats
From Andrew Sullivan at the Atlantic Monthly:
Things That Make You Go Hmmm
Andrew Sullivan, 31 Aug 2008
Questions for the McCain-Palin campaign:
Where has Bristol Palin (far right, holding Trig, with a ring on her wedding finger) been for the past year? Has she been attending high school? Or was she absent because of infectious mononucleosis for between five and eight months, as is now being reported on the Internet?
Why would a 43 year old woman, on her fifth pregnancy, with a Down Syndrome child, after her amniotic fluid has started to leak, not go to the nearest hospital immediately, even if she was in Texas for a speech?
Why would she not only not go to the hospital in Texas, but take an eight-hour plane flight to Seattle and then Anchorage?
Why would she choose to deliver the baby not in the nearest major facility in Anchorage but at a much smaller hospital near her home-town?
Why did the flight attendants on the trip home say she bore no signs of being pregnant?
It strikes me as likely that there are reasonable answers to these questions - more reasonable than the only one given so far -
“You can’t have a fish picker from Texas,” said Todd -
and the rumors buzzing across the Internets and the press corps are unfounded and unseemly. There must be plenty of medical records and obstetricians and medical eye-witnesses prepared to testify to Sarah Palin’s giving birth to Trig. There must be a record of Bristol’s high school attendance for the past year. And surely, surely, the McCain camp did due diligence on this. But the noise around this story is now deafening, and the weirdness of the chronology sufficient to rise to the level of good faith questions. So please give us these answers - and provide medical records for Sarah Palin’s pregnancy - and put this to rest.
We didn’t want to post this. It is simply too despicable for words.
Mind you, the Democrats are forever claiming that the Republicans are character assassins who smear their candidates.
Never mind that their proof is always “email campaigns” that nobody we know ever got an email from.
But the Democrats smears are right out in the open. And straight from the gutter.
Speaking of the gutter, here is the original post from the Daily Kos which began this loathsome attack:
One of the contributors at the Daily Kos has even suggested that the daughter was incestuously raped by her father.
These people are truly unhinged. They are rabid with mindless hate.
Meanwhile, someone should take a look at the odds of Downs Syndrome Children being born to teenagers.
Here is an entry from Wikipedia:
Down syndrome
Maternal age influences the chances of conceiving a baby with Down syndrome. At maternal age 20 to 24, the probability is one in 1562; at age 35 to 39 the probability is one in 214, and above age 45 the probability is one in 19.
As if this smear wasn’t enough, the similarly despicable Alan Colmes has suggested that Mrs. Palin caused her child to have Down Syndrome because she was not careful enough in her pre-natal care.
From the Google cache of the page:
Hey, never mind that the same Wikipedia entry also notes:
Current research (as of 2008) has shown that Down syndrome is due to a random event during the formation of sex cells or pregnancy. There has been no evidence that it is due to parental behavior or environmental factors.
After all, there are Republicans to smear.
By the way the Rogers Cadenhead cited is the person behind the ultra-left Drudge rip-off site, The Drudge Retort. Cadenhead is of course a world renown expert on such matters as prenatal care and Downs Syndrome.
But which is it? Are we to condemn Mrs. Palin for not reacting properly to her water breaking, or for pretending to have a child to cover-up for a wayward daughter?
The Democrats need to pick one outragous calumny and stick to it.
The always courageous Mr. Colmes has subsequently removed his insight on Mrs. Palin’s maternal failings. Of course he is now blaming right-wingers for misunderstanding him.
But damn Alan Colmes, Rogers Cadenhead, Andrew Sullivan and their fellow miscreants from the Democrat Underground and Daily Kos for even making us have to post about such things.
Damn them all to hell.

Colmes is a mindless repeater of whatever smear the ‘rats put forth. It’s to Fox’ discredit that they give him airtime both on a radio show, as well as on Fox News to spread his venom. I hope that Fox News gets buried under an avalanche of e-mail and that they realize that he’s become a liability for them, and terminate his employment.
It would certainly make Hannity and Colmes a slight bit more watchable…

I saw this slur on the daily kos. It has been edited down a bit but the same nonsense. It is sad that it would be published in an otherwise respectable publication. I snooped around and came across a video from the Alaska Republican Convention in which Ms Palin is unmistakably pregnant (you can fake the belly but not the walk). The rank ignorance of Sullivan and the Kos writer is surprising. Do neither of these men have children, sisters with children, etc.
Since the Palin’s attend Assembly of God church the ring on her daughter’s finger would be consistent with a “true love waits” ring.
I would not go so far as to damn the rumormongers to hell. Living with a hateful mind must be horrible enough.
August 31st, 2008 at 9:27 pm
What horrible crap. Still, it shows how desperate they are if already they’re scraping the bottom of the barrel by smearing both her pre-natal decisions and her 17-year-old child. If Sarah Palin never ever did anything else noteworthy in her life, the fact that she didn’t take the “easy”, convenient way out of that pregnancy will be enough.
What twisted, small, mean, petty people.
August 31st, 2008 at 9:29 pm
The deeper the slurs, the greater the fear. Democrats are sweating. A true reformer is in the wings of power…..with the backing of the people…..in spite of everything they will do to destroy her. They are truly afraid! The more we read, the more I know my speculation is correct. She will weather it. She has before. She feeds on their fear, she knows she is right. We have a viable candidate for 2012!!!

I hope the Governor has a very thick skin, and it’s likely she does–but since when are attacks on the kids fair game? Remember how, any time someone said anything about Chelsea (even after she was grown) the howls went up about the unfairness of it all? So now they’re painting that young girl as a slut?
And as for Alan Colmes–he spent the better part of last month decrying the “stories” (which turned out to be true) about Edwards’ affair. He lambasted Hannity and any conservative guests who brought up the subject. Then he does THIS?
The whole lot of them are utterly and completely worthless–except, perhaps, as a reminder of what drinking too much grape koolaid might do to the brain.

Pardon my French but just what the friggin’ h*ll is wrong with these people, (that would be Sullivan, Colmes et al)..!!
Palin has been the VP nominee for less than 48 hours and these poor excuses for primates are accusing her of bad motherhood and / or covering up her teenage daughters psuedo pregnancy?
Can they really be that bitter, that insane, that immoral, that unbearably evil and malicious in directing these attacks on Palin and her beautiful family? How sad for them, living out their soulless lives with bitter evil hearts.
The libtards just can’t stand the fact that Palin has achieved the American dream by being honest, forthright, a good mother, a good wife, remaining true to her faith, etc, all the true embodiments of being a good conservative American.
Their teeny little socialist brains are exploding as we speak. Bwaahaahaahaahahahaha…!!! ;o)

” provide medical records for Sarah Palin’s pregnancy - and put this to rest.”
Mr. Sullivan, I am quite sure your mother regrets to this day carrying you to full term, and I must sympathise with her, because it pains the rest of us as well.
August 31st, 2008 at 10:42 pm
Contemptuous dirtballs, each of them:
Andrew Sullivan: What can you say about this POS? He hates everything: He hates America. He hates religion. He hates and really despises anyone who has a religious thought or belives in God. He hates God. Did I mention he hates America? He hates women who have babies where he believes killing the baby would be slightly more convenient.
Alan Colmes: He’s getting more far left by the minute. He used to have some slight redeeming features, years back, when Hannity could still at least make it look like he could talk sense to Colmes. No more. Colmes has “jumped the shark” as far as being the almost unique rational Lib. He’s now officially a Faaaaaar Left Libotard, with no more redeeming qualities. Sean needs to dump him on Fox.
To each of them - and the left and many Dems I’ve experienced - values, morals and just simply goodness, are foul words and despised concepts.
As for what they are trying to do to Sarah Palin: it is because of this that one day, these two sub-humans will come to believe in the existence of God… because they have some terrible things awaiting them down there.
And its not going to work. If everything else were not enough (and it probably is) their attacks on Palin are only going to energize support for her among all women, on the Right and on the Left, including a growing number of Hillarycrats who have either never accepts the Obamalord, or who have pledged their support as Democrats, and are not taking a second look at the Party that rejected making the “first woman president” the historical first of their Party.
Boy, are they going to rue the day that they started slinging this sickening mud at Mrs. Palin.
August 31st, 2008 at 10:53 pm
I pray for Alan.
There is….God. There is no doubt. Those that deny it are fools.
He will be revealed and there will be no negotiation. He is not “a” god, He is the only and true God. Read the Bible and learn. Prophecy is continually fulfilled, but too many deny it without knowledge of what’s written. They dismiss it without knowledge of what it says. It’s not a myth, it’s a miracle and it is close to being fulfilled.
To God be the glory.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but back when Mrs. Palin gave birth to Trig - weren’t there liberals all up in arms because she didn’t abort him? Or liberals that alluded to the fact?
As you pointed out, SG, the evidence of Downs Syndrome points to the fact it’s more than likely Mrs. Palin is Trig’s mother - women over the age of 40 are far more likely to have Downs children than younger women. And, for the record, people with Downs syndrome are some of the most loving, hard-working, and amazing people I’ve ever met. It’s sad they’re not only aborted (90%), but treated with such contempt.
Boy, are they going to rue the day that they started slinging this sickening mud at Mrs. Palin.
Yep. Some liberals are calling her 5 kids a “blight” on the planet, etc. etc. While I disagree with the views of liberal women, by all means I encourage this smearing. Mrs. Palin can handle it - there’s a reason her nickname from high school is “Sarah Barracuda” - and it makes liberals (especially liberal men) show their true, misogynistic selves. Liberal women who haven’t totally drank the Kool-Aid will realize this and, hopefully, be turned off by it.

“Correct me if I’m wrong, but back when Mrs. Palin gave birth to Trig - weren’t there liberals all up in arms because she didn’t abort him? Or liberals that alluded to the fact?”
I know that was a rhetorical question, but humor me.
They are still pissed that she gave birth, They ask how dare she love a child that may not live up to their standards, let alone bring it to full term.
Liberals walk around with their dirty little dork mittens on an abort trigger, love and compassion being as alien to them as life in a distant planet.
They see an unborn child as no more than a minor irritation to wipe out like ants that have invaded the sugar bowl.
They loathe an unborn child even more than they hate themselves, and that’s a hell of a feat.

It is people such as Mr Sullivan and Mr Colmes that make being a Christian really hard - as I think what they said & wrote is just the most base, nasty, horrible and unnecessary garbage ever - that it makes me want to say & do really nasty things to them. And then in another breath they can claim that Republicans are mean and hateful - is just sheer hypocrisy.
I heard this earlier - but was amazed that this is really happening - these people are beneath contempt, beneath respect, beneath civility. They are indeed sub-human - as they have no soul, they have no morals, they have no humanity. And may God forgive me for even thinking that, much less writing it - but I do believe Jesus called us to point out sin when we see it.
If articles like this don’t help McCain/Palin win a 50 (not 57) state majority landslide win then I worry greatly for the future of America. I do not ever want the current nor future of my Country, my children and grandchildren’s future put into the hands of such base, hateful people who care for nothing more than their punny misguided attempts to seize power to pocket as much money as they can ill gottenly gain.
Never again - until they can understand what it means to be American, to honor and defend the Constitution and to acknowledge that America is the greatest Country in the World. And that yes, even a Woman from small town America can rise up to become the 2nd most powerful person in the Country. That is what use to make America a beacon to the World - not that the Dems want to make it the welfare office of the World.
As my kids would say - what a sick bunch of puppies they are.

First of all, Down Syndrome is a genetic disease. The child had this disease at the time of conception, not anything the mother did during her pregnancy. The mother normally carries the gene. Alan Colmes and the other idiots should check out their medical facts before they insinuate she did soemthing wrong durign her pregnancy! My best friend has a down syndrome child and he is the sweetest baby I have ever been around. Shame on these pathetic losers!
August 31st, 2008 at 11:35 pm
Andrew Sullivan is a misogynist right down to his sexual preference. For him to discuss the details of childbearing causes major cognitive dissonance.
August 31st, 2008 at 11:39 pm
Roll up your sleeves wardmama, and pass out the Band-Aids!
August 31st, 2008 at 11:44 pm
I just peeked in on Colmes’ site, and he’s being excoriated by Conservatives for his comments. I tried to refresh the page, and it wouldn’t flip, so I suspect his server is melting down.
Serves him right.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephesians 6:12.
Take heart, this will all blow up in their faces. The lefties reveal themselves and make for better targets.
After the election the trolls will be blaming this episode on the Rovian attack machine.

“After the election the trolls will be blaming this episode on the Rovian attack machine.”
Rove, you magnificent bastard!
September 1st, 2008 at 12:11 am
Does anyone know where this garbage started - the Andrew Sullivan stuff - I just saw a ‘diagram’ of the same drivel - at Democrat Underground - so someone has to be the originator of this disgusting tripe.
Alas - as with the Obama is a Muslim smears - it will turn out to be an email sent from some ethereal person/place.
And yes, notsoyoungjim - it will be blamed on the Rovian attack machine.
September 1st, 2008 at 12:28 am
Dittos to all of the above comments. I still can’t make any rational comments, without curse words, about this article yet…….. I’m still seething.
So true notsoyoungjim, Ephesians 6;12 says it all. (I have the words framed on parchment paper in my office, along with the Constitution.)
September 1st, 2008 at 12:43 am
Didn’t Al Gore call conservatives “The extra-chromosome people”? As a reminder, an extra chromosome is what causes Downs.
September 1st, 2008 at 12:56 am
Ya Sue,
I find it soothing to remember Ephesians whenever I feel the overwhelming desire to choke the living shiite out of a lefty reprobate.
Here’s a link to a Townhall page that’s got debunking info and pictures of Gov. Palin all preggers with Trig.

September 1st, 2008 at 1:22 am
Yes. But Downs persons are some of the most loving, caring, kind-hearted, and hard working people I’ve ever met. So I guess that’s a backhanded, awkward compliment.
Over on Michelle Malkin a commenter noted that her Obama-lovin’ friends are PO’d at the smears of Palin because it makes Obama look bad. So some of them know this isn’t good.
I hope they keep it up. Palin is strong. She can handle it and so can her family.
This will not help the Obama campaign, however. And I’m totally fine with that…
September 1st, 2008 at 3:32 am
“It is people such as Mr Sullivan and Mr Colmes that make being a Christian really hard”
That’s why there’s people like me who have no problem beating their heads in with a claw hammer for being such disgusting shit birds!
I count on every good Christian here to pray for me so I can carry out all of the non Christian things that need to be done to stop these people, or at least cause them to feel the consequences of their actions.
But dont forget, Sullivan, Colmes, et al….are told what to think, what to say, how high to jump, when to pee……they are merely vehicles for Soros and other deep pocket America Haters. So it really isnt their opinion….they are the puppets dancing for their socialist monetary masters.

You’re missing the point that the left will use this is as evidence that Mrs. Palin is to blame for her Down’s child - she should have known risks were higher at her age and should have aborted it/used birth control/had her tubes tied.
Remember folks, this is 48 hours; you can imagine the campaign ads to come by various shadowy organizations.
Watch for the ads sure to come; it’s not at all hard to imagine this one is already being prepped:
Mark my words…

Like I said before, mean libtard lower primates suck!
May their souls burn in hell!

Hannity and Colmes is a weak example of what the “Fairness” Doctrine will bring us if Obama gets elected. Weak because the show does lean more to Hannity’s favor and the “Fariness” Doctrine would insist on more Colmes…..hey, Fox, if you are listening, it is time for Hannity and Beckel—Colmes is about used up–even some lefties are bored with him…..

SJ - it is my soul I am worried about with the thoughts and actions that this vile garbage sets off in me. I am married to one of those men (’we sleep safely in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm’) so I am not a stranger to the hardness of life - as I said, I am more worried about facing my God in the afterlife and being found lacking since I could not see the good in some people. Now having said that, I have lived around the US & World enough to know that some people are not good at all - as I said sub-human.
I was so angry last night - I confused the two stories - on the flying/speech story - most Airlines have little restrictions on flying while pregnant - Alaska Airlines has none. Those that do are within 14 days of before/after delivery - so 7.5 months wasn’t an issue. Also the desire to fly home to deliver a known less than healthy baby (as some Downs Syndrome babies have serious heart problems, which means NICU time) - is sensible for a mother of several other children. In the delivery and immediate time afterward of a situation that you know little about the extent of disability - being with doctors, hospital and people you know and who know you - is not irresponsible - it is vital.
And well, that Trig is her daughter’s - wasn’t the Obama campaign going to not delve into smear politics and bit**ing about the ’smears’ (NOT) coming from the McCain campaign? This particular story is the absolute lowest I have ever heard - and oh btw - wasn’t it a tactic of Obama campaigns in IL to win by removing from contention the opponents?!? Pathetic little man that had to use such tactics to win.
Such small, base and disgusting people to have to stoop this low in an attempt to make an inexperienced, empty suit and his puppet co-hort even have a smidgen of a chance to win.
No, SJ I am not worried about ‘fighting’ these people - they have shown with these two stories that it is way past time to start the fight - before they destroy America from within.
September 1st, 2008 at 11:24 am
As I said the other day, they can all go to Hell…
September 1st, 2008 at 12:08 pm
Evil!
Wow! ………..I’m at a loss for words.
If Alan Colmes actually said what he said…He should be FIRED!!!!!!
September 1st, 2008 at 12:25 pm
Hmm. Seems we should have gone after Chelsea Clinton and Al Gore Jr all those years after all.
I find it ironic that liberal rumor mongers call for Palin’s medical records while they claim conservatives who want Obama to release his are fear peddlers.
September 1st, 2008 at 12:26 pm
NEWS FLASH ! ! !
Fox just reported that Sarah Palin has said that her 17 year old daughter is pregnant, and will be married soon.
Will this hurt her?
September 1st, 2008 at 12:38 pm
On another site among the comments there was one that said the KOS poster that apparently started this thing was the one in the article above –ArcXIX. This person says that this ArcXIX is a “high ranking Obama advisor” and it was included in a way that made it seem like this was a good thing not a critique. It seems to me that someone who knows how to discover the true identies of people, like maybe Charles Johnson, or someone else, should track this person down and expose them to see if this is true. I would pass this on to CJ but I never get to his site at the right time to register. SG, do you know how to find out this sort of information?
Also, I belong to a huge hobby website made up mostly of women that has a forum set up to discuss the election and this topic has been raging all weekend. However one of the posters is from Wasilla, AK, and her daughter personnally knows Bristol because she has played on the same teams as she has. Her daughter laughed when she saw the photo of Bristol in the green sweater that although it was taken in 2006, “clearly shows” that Bristol is pregnant. She says that’s the way Bristol always looks. She also says that there is no way on earth if Bristol had been pregnant that the secret would not have been spread throughout the school and all over the town.
September 1st, 2008 at 1:28 pm
Will this hurt her?
IMHO it will not. The daughter is not the first young lady to walk down the aisle in a family way and will not be the last.
Remember, The first child can come at anytime, the rest take 9 months.
September 1st, 2008 at 1:49 pm
” Mark my words…”
They are marked BillK, I have not seen or heard an ad yet, But wandering over to see what the kos kiddies are doing with this proved you right in the fact that some of them believe that she should have killed her child.
Now after visiting that site, I need a shower, a delousing and possibly counseling.
September 2nd, 2008 at 12:39 pm
Alan Colmes is plain & simple: Bad TV. I can hardly watch Hannity & Colmes when he starts those unthoughtful rants. The latest smear on Sarah Palin’s pre-natal care is the last straw. When does his Fox contract run out?? At least Kirsten Powers usually makes observations/comments that have actually been thought-out.
I have a clear vision of him as a tattling, sniveling little boy, now wearing a coat & tie, forever trying to prove himself.
He belongs at MSNBC.
September 14th, 2008 at 12:06 am
The sad thing is, the disgusting isn’t finished yet. We’ve got liberals not only calling the kid Bristol’s, but claiming that he has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, not Down’s.
September 23rd, 2008 at 5:00 am
Thank you for doing such a good job exposing the outrageousness of Democrats. They are truly hateful and disgusting people.
Sites like the Daily Kos, HuffPost and water carriers such as Olbermann, Matthews, all cannot meet the same standards to which they hold Republicans.
Their own presidential candidate has been shielded from much talk about his sex and drug abuse as well as his ties to extremists and murderers.
September 23rd, 2008 at 5:04 am
PS - the good thing about the Palin family values is, there will be no abortions and no welfare and the family is supportive.
As it should be.
