One does not need to be a child molester to understand that only a sick twisted mind would be OK with it!.
One does not have to be an axe murderer to understand that its not socially acceptable.
And one does not have to be a homosexual to know that unnatural acts are taking place, this is not rocket science, we are all sexually equipped.
Add to the fact that schools are teaching students about perversions, that newspapers and TV stations along with movies, magazines and billboards are used to educate us all about homosexuality, a person would have to live in a cave not to educated about the subject.
So to come here and imply that the posters should be completely ignorant of what is shoved in their face day after day is ridiculous.

You obviously cannot see the heterosexually minded concerns for the homosexual mote in your eye…so, if people talk about sexual behavior they do not agree with, that means they’re closet gays? Who knew?

The point is simple: society should promote idealisms, and marriage between one man and one woman is as old as culture…no society in history, save this narcissistic one, has ever sanctioned same-sex marriage. The people of California spoke, and thus their voice should be upheld. Don’t like it? Move to Canada or any other country where you agree with their views on the issue.

While I am not out there protesting or boycotting, I am gay. Perhaps I’m more fair-minded than the my counterparts in the media. I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone has a right or duty to participate in the political process. Prop 8 one fair and square. However, I think that some of the people that voted for it are probably ignorant on the issue just as a majority of the people who voted for Obama are ignorant. While I think these protests are just plain stupid, people do have the right to spend their money however they way (well at least until Obama stops that haha).

Rest assured the gays and lesbians out at these protests make up less than 50% of our population. Out of all the friends that I have that are gay and lesbian, only 2 are actively participating in these events. This means there are a lot more of us who are disappointed with Prop 8 but realize that life goes on and eventually things will pan out. People seem to forget that California still has a landmark domestic partner program that has even been used by some heterosexual friends of mine.

My way of protesting: living an excellent life filled with family, friends and personal responsibility.

A mere 25 years ago or so the mantra of any homosexual parade was “just leave us alone.”

Those were the days.

Don’t know that that’s quite true. It seems to me most civilizations have tolerated homosexuality in a more or less grudging way – sort of an “if you must, but be discreet or suffer for it” attitude. (Except for the few rulers who could do as they liked publicly – Alexander, Hadrian) Certainly though, none that I know of have condoned gay “marriage” for the simple reason that marriage has always been seen as building a home for children.

I have nothing against gays. They may be neurotic narcissists (my personal best guess about what homosexuality really is) but lots of straight people are neurotic. Humans are not by nature solitary creatures, and having to go through life alone or in hiding to me seems cruel and unusual punishment. I do think anyone should be able to designate any ONE other person as their legal “partner” who would have the sort of legal protections of a spousal relationship. And if they have a legal union, they should also be required to go through the usual legal hideous “divorce” proceedings to dissolve it. This, hopefully, would keep “marriages for insurance” to a minimum.

But what I don’t get is the gay movement’s insistence that their unions be publicly accepted as anything more than civil arrangements. Why not just insist on separation of church and state and claim the right to a life-partner as a basic human need? I think it is. To insist on church weddings or public approval of something that is morally and spiritually repugnant to so many people just seems like juvenile provocation. The “You must not only accept me but celebrate me, too” thing will only slow down their whole cause.

Your signs all say, “stop the hate”…’tolerance”…”rights”…”acceptance” and you expect the majority of the population of this country to immediately agree with you or they are hateful homophobic bigoted racist intolerant fanatics.

But, all I see from the gay community is hatred, and I mean virulent hatred, total intolerance, unwillingness to accept the majority opinion, and extorting those who exercise the rights you say are being denied you.

You are attempting to force those who dont agree with your lifestyle to accept what you believe to be right. This has come to a vote twice..not once, but twice, and each time your desire to be considered “normal” has been resoundingly defeated.

I dont condemn your choice to be gay, I dont hate you because you are gay, but when you try to convince me that the apple I am holding is actually a banana, and threaten me with violence and public scrutiny for doing what I believe in, I cannot help but notice the immense hypocritical irony in your protest.

You are going out of your way to do the very things you are screaming are being done against you. Your lack of accepting the fact that your lifestyle choice does not resonate with the rest of the county is appalling. You are gay. So what? You choose to immerse yourself in this cocoon of self righteousness and somehow figure that everyone else must accept you for who you are.

Your cause has made great strides in the past thirty years. For those of you who are too young to remember, being openly gay was not an option due to the very real fact that you would be beaten to within an inch of your life if you were discovered. That isnt the case anymore. Being gay isnt the abhorrent societal pox it used to be.

Being gay is YOUR choice. But with that choice, there comes the reality that though you may be tolerated in society as a whole, your insistence on marriage just shows that you wont be satisfied until you have it all.

Remember this. If you have to force people to accept your demands by having laws passed that makes it a crime to not accept you, you are doing the very same thing that was done against you for centuries. People tolerate your lifestyle, they have come to accept your choices.

But to see you all violently protesting as though you are being discriminated against is just hog wash. You want it all, and you wont settle for anything less. You are like a small child who gets everything they want except one thing, so they throw a tantrum until they get that too.

It’s time you practiced what you are protesting against. Be happy for all of the gains the gay community has achieved, and learn to accept and tolerate those who simply dont agree with your lifestyle.

You insisted it be brought to a vote, a mandate of the people so laws would give you the rights you think you dont have. Well, you lost. The majority of people dont agree with you. They dont have to. They are exercising the rights you are trying to circumvent by your intolerance.

Karger says a “soft boycott” they started against Bolthouse Farms, which gave $100,000 to Proposition 8, was dropped after he reached a settlement with the company. Bolthouse Farms was to give an equal amount of money to gay political causes. The amount ultimately equaled $110,000.

How is this NOT extortion? It is, isn’t it? Looking at Dictionary.com, you can find the definition:

Ex*tor”tion\, n. [F. extorsion.]

1. The act of extorting; the act or practice of wresting anything from a person by force, by threats, or by any undue exercise of power; undue exaction; overcharge.

Looks like extortion, quacks like extortion..must be EXTORTION!
