Top Palin Foe Gets A Job From Obama

From the DNC’s CNN:

Mr. Elton appears on the far left of this July 2008 photo of Alaska elected officials who supported Obama during the campaign.

Palin foe gets administration job

March 3, 2009

From CNN’s Lauren Kornreich

(CNN) – Alaska State Sen. Kim Elton, one of the leading officials to pursue an investigation of Gov. Sarah Palin during the heat of the presidential campaign, has taken a high-level job in the Interior Department.

Palin reacted in a short statement Monday, the day Elton announced his move to Washington.

“Senator Elton pledged his allegiance to President Obama last summer,” said the governor. “We wish him well as he moves on and hope that he uses this job for Alaska’s benefit.”

Palin was the target of an official investigation last year over charges she improperly dismissed a public safety commissioner who refused to fire her sister’s ex-husband, a state trooper. Elton led the legislative investigation of the incident

Elton will serve as Director of Alaska Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior.

It is somewhat surprising that CNN would report this, together with its context.

Probably they imagine it will encourage more politicians to do the right thing for the Democrat cause, especially during election campaigns.

CNN wants to show that they will be rewarded in the end.

Indeed, it would be interesting to note what happens to the rest of the Democrats in the photo at the top, most of whom were on the panel that tried to bring down Governor Palin with their trumped up charges.

(Thanks to BillK for the heads up.)

Once again, I love Palin and her way of handling such things:

Senator Elton pledged his allegiance to President Obama last summer…

    Go, Sarah.

    Now there is a shocker!

I really feel for Ms. Palin – the left has been so vile towards her. Surprising since they portend themselves as being pro-women, yet they have continually denigrated a very successful accomplished woman. I don’t know if it is her beauty or family values that they resent, but it is rather scary the singlemindedness of their pursuit to discredit her.

Now of course Sen Elton will be rewarded handsomely.

She scares the begesus out of them is why they have gone and still are going after her.

Much like they are going after Rush.

    • curvyred says:

Yep it appears they are going after Rush and of course Jindal is now on their agenda – as they try to portray him as lacking intellect.

Interesting strategy on behalf of the Democrats:

Beauty, looks, intelligence, mother, successful, etc – is the tip of the ice berg when it comes to liberals hatred of the so called very thing they aspire to be and/or support.

Liberals as a whole are made up of deeply troubled emotionally and physically inferior people. They rally around “us vs them” , which leads to their inane hypocrisy on just about everything. These are people who have developed an irrational hatred of anything they perceive themselves to be lacking, here is a breakdown:

Gay community – clearly “outsiders” of society until recently – the gay community is primarily liberal because there isnt a guiding theological tenant, as is in conservatism – and most importantly a conservative or Rep deeply reminds them of their parents, pastor, friends, etc who ostrcized them. I truly believe this deep seated shunning from everyting they were taught stays with them forever. When is the last time an ardent gay liberal became conservative? It is almost impossible due to the psychological damage.

Young people – Real straight forward again – in the times of adolescent angst – everyone questions authority, including parents, teachers, adults in general. Siding with liberalism is on par with “being cool and hip” – all the while having very little invested in actual society policies, concerning tax rates, mortgages, credit ratings, jobs, etc. Now the “young” extends chronologically to “adult liberals” who quite frankly have never migrated intellectually or responsibility wise according to their age.

Blue Blood Wealth – The key here being blue blooded at birth. See William Ayers. These are people who have a huge issue with a) mommy and daddys wealth, b) mommy and daddy in general through adolescence c) guilt for others. NYC, SF, are filled with these dolts. And of course most elected Dem millionaires who are far left liberals. I believe its proreason who points out well – these are also people who have a unique luxury of both money and very little actual input or responsibility each and every day. When the trust fund is locked up in T Bills for 30 years, with a $250k a quarter payout – you have all kinds of time to be a martyr, while looking forward to summers on the Cape.

Minorities – Again, us vs them – with an extra emphasis on “us”. Of course, combine the glass ceiling promoters within black communities who have been profiting on keeping “their own down” – and its pretty clear why most minorities side Dem or liberal.

Ugly people – Now I am not the hottest guy, not the ugliest – and clearly married up – but in general we all have a pretty good idea of what ugly is. I believe the above pic is an accurate representation. Again – have vs have nots. This is more of a female issue – whether promoted, created or supported by “society” – the facts are a) people prefer better looking people, b) if you arent good looking – very high probability you wish you were and either spend thousands in surgery or hate good looking people, c) humans have a pretty consistent idea, across multiple cultures now of what makes a person good looking. That occasionally changes (heavy reneissance era, etc), but for now thin, proportinoal face/body with muscle tone is in.

It is why someone like Palin – who embodies everything a liberal claims they are for is hated by Dems and liberals. She is a straight woman, middle class upbringing, mother of 5 who earned her way to the Gov of Alaska and earns over $150k a year. Oh, and she is beautiful…

Liberals are emotionally troubled people with damaging psychological maladies. It has nothing to do with policies, issues and programs. It will always be “us vs them”

Terrific analysis Odie. Allow me to suggest a few additional categories:

Thugs looking for the leaders who will punish them least and are the easiest to rob
Intellectuals who seek power without the talent to achieve it
Followers – many teachers, union members and others who seek the leader who promises them the most
Con Men – looking for any way to beat the system except working
Exploiters – mainly lawyers. Educated people looking for complex systems to manipulate to enrich themselves.

There are good people in the Intellectual, Follower and Exploiter categories, but high percentages are as described and they are all natural Liberals.

The good news is that most of the groups you mentioned, and I supplemented, prey on each other as well as the rest of society, so the alliance is pretty tenuous.

Conservative= rugged individual, ready and willing to go it alone to acheive his goal or purpose. Will not be turned from his task. Tell him/her they can not do something is a guarantee it will be done. Stubborn.

Liberal= Me and 10 of my friends can beat you up.

As I recall not one person who explored, settled and developed our great nation was a liberal, they came along later to reap the benefits of others labor. Nuf Said

      Excellant additions Pro.

I am embarrassed I left out the elite intellectual type and am forced to live with it.

My wife just got word her job is being phased out April 3rd due to a “reorg” at a state university. There were 2 drafts – one that made sense, the other that passed – had to be “signed off” by HR.

Priorities were : a) minority staff, b) tenure, c) need. Now anyone with a brain would say “shouldnt need be first” – but alas the makeup of the reorg team (assc. dean, HR and some program director) is now asking key questions from staff, namely my MBA educated wife – as to what she does, process, time , scheduling, etc in order for the transformation to go smoothly. Now again – wouldnt you ask those questions before you announce what is changing?

They remaining staff left is primarily black women, no MBA’s (btw – her area was higher learning, SixSigma, degree and non degree rgrams, etc) who maybe put in 20 actual hours of work – are protected and most importantly – HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO DEAL WITH C-LEVEL PROFESSIONALS IN ANY CAPACITY. In fact – the HR rep herself has had over 15 complaints from MBA students themselves. Imagine paying $35k for an MBA, making $125k a year and getting into an argument with the friggin staff.

Sorry for the rant – but the makeup of the university and staff is die hard liberal, mixed with radicaql black racists. The assc dean is from a consulting background, makes about $500k/year between both gigs and never knew my wife had her MBA until 3 months ago. The program director is known as “chart guy” – has zero interpersonal skills and will always point to some useless “human trend” chart.

The silver lining – a few clients and others folks in the U have caught wind of who is staying and going – and are not happy. So unhappy – they are considering bringing my wife back as a consultant – at a higher fee and zero PC correct bs.

    • proreason says:

Odie, sorry to hear about your wife. My wife was sabotaged 20 years ago by a black woman my wife had hired and trained. All she was capable of was clerical work during her “work hours”, whereas my wife had designed the entire process used by the cash management organization. The black got my wife’s job. The company went out of business shortly thereafter (only loosely related).

Hopefully your wife will be hired back as a consultant.

What I say is that there will be an end to this. The change they thought was coming is going to be different than they think, and it ain’t gonna be pretty. Not predicting when or how, but the people on this site aren’t the only ones who have had it up to our ears with this crap.

    • Odie44 says:

      Pro –

Thank you for the kind sentiments. We will be alright – my 2nd business is taking off nicely , we were planning to move within the next 6 months and baby making is on the summer docket – so the timing may work really well for us. The freelance, contract gig is the direction and flexibility she is moving towards.

In other words, we are acting like proactive, responsible adults and are maximizing the current environment for the better. Wedding was paid 90% in cash last fall – no mortgage right now – so not under water.

Oh – and the kicker – my wife has accrued 78 sick/vaca days that she gets a lump sum on the way out and is fully matched in her pension, now that she has her 10 years in – worth about $120K in todays value – to grow for the next 30 years exactly – which is our true “nest egg”.

Exit question: How many remaning staff do you think have accrued days??

    • proreason says:

Odie….exit question…..guessing very few accrued days in the retained staff. People who don’t work very hard seem to get sick a lot. That’s my experiece from decades in the workforce.

That’s probably one of the most unattractive group pictures I’ve seen in awhile. I can see why these folks hate Sarah Palin and her family, they’re attractive these folks aren’t. So ends my caddy diatribe for the day.
As for this clown Elton, he’s still a chump.

You know what thet say about Alaska?

The odds are good but the goods are odd=)

I wonder if CNN ever did more than a blurb on Governor Palin’s church being targeted by arsonists.

    • catie says:

Celina, you’re right I had forgotten all about that arson situation. I don’t think we’ve heard anymore about that. But if it was Obambi’s church well, look out.

    • Celina says:

I hardly heard about it on the local news and I live around here. I CANNOT even imagine if it had been Obama’s old church had been targeted instead.

I am anxious to see what Governor Palin’s next move is. I really like her and am still amazed at how horribly she was treated by the MSM.

    • MinnesotaRush says:

If it’d been o-blah-blah’s (Rev Wrights) church, we’d by now have had a new ‘National Holiday’ and the ‘stimulus check’ would’ve been bigger than TARP …

Elton is a Democrat, what’s the news?

  6. Lipstick on a PIAPS says:

The real news is will he keep that job when Palin becomes President in 2012! I think America is already for a change about 45 days in! LMAO.

  7. MinnesotaRush says:

“Senator Elton pledged his allegiance to President Obama last summer,” said the governor.”

    God, I love this woman!!!

  8. brad says:

I still hope S&L will post or follow up with the people who tried to persecute Joe the Plumber by sifting through his child support and other records.

NO DOUBT they will be rewarded by Obama somewhere along the line. There is no possible chance that they will be unemployed for long. The private sector will curl their nose at such unethical behavior, BUT NOT THE GOVERNMENT!

They will land a job somewhere in the government or through a government worker, just like Lewinsky did, and Chelsea Clinton did.
