How dare you folks criticize TCO’s choices?
Can’t you see that these are people with the highest personal values in all of the world?
The instant that they’re nominated for a position they cough up the taxes that their paid preparers screwed the government out of. Do they wait until they have the office? NO! They pay up right away!
Do they ignore letters from the IRS? Okay, so they’re not perfect but as I said, nominate them and they come through.
How many of us would be so gallant, so forthcoming?
How many of us would rot in prison for the same offense?

Wages up to $106,800 ($102,000 last year) are subject to 12.4% Social Security withholding, and 2.9% Medicare withholding – a total of 15.3%. The Medicare withholding has no income limit; much like the Energizer Bunny – it keeps going, and going, and going…ridiculous. Those two ‘taxes’ (remember, they’re not deductible from your state income tax liability) should be more than enough to run the Gubmint. Heck, God only asked for ten percent…

Interesting comment from Victor Davis Hansen in his blog today.

If he took ALL the income of those making over $250k/yr it would not cover what he has already spent.

Dick Morris says this about The Moron’s tax plans:

“We’re speaking, of course, of Obama’s plans to hike income taxes on the most wealthy 2 or 3 percent of the nation. He’s not just raising the top rate to 39.6 percent; he’s also disallowing about one-third of top earner’s deductions, whether for state and local taxes, charitable contributions or mortgage interest. This is an effective hike in their taxes by an average of about 20 percent.

And soon the next shoe will drop – he’ll announce that he’s keeping yet another of his campaign promises: to apply the full payroll tax to all income over $250,000 a year. (Right now, the 15.3 percent Social Security tax only applies to the first $106,800 of income – you neither pay the tax on income above that, nor accumulate added benefit.) For many taxpayers in this bracket, this hike will raise their total taxes by about half. ”

Dick’s predictions are not always perfect but he has some big hits recently.

(you might also note that I’ve been predicting taxes would go up by 25 to 100%. My prediction is over the next 5 to 10 years, and applies to the middle class….75K to 250K annual income, with higher increases at the top end than the bottom end. It is more likely low than high, imho. Although you may laugh, consider this….the trillions in new spending have to come from somewhere.)

“Income” taxes are only mandatory for gov employees, gov contractors, and residents of Washington, D.C. and any other “federal” territories. The rest of us have been deceived into thinking we must pay income tax, and coerced into paying them. It’s a long story. If you want the real truth, read this:

oOllah Obama can’t be so dumb as to not check on these criminals of government. Seems to be a life long pattern. oOllah lied to America about Bill Ayers just being a neighbor. oOllah Obama figures if his devoted people won’t mind someone who bombed America, and regrets not more bombing, that no one will care about these new criminals. So, why are all the other politicans, especially Republicans being so quiet?

I guess the only upside though is now they have to pay their taxes so they can “help” the federal government even more. Remember Harry Reid said “tax system was voluntary”. I’ll remember this on April 15.

What a world – in addition to all these tax CHEATERS…
in the states with income taxes if the governor (or governator) decides they spent too much of the taxpayers’ income tax and “can’t afford” to send the citizens THEIR OWN MONEY BACK – they simply tell the taxpayers “Too bad for you!.. we’ll pay you when we can AFFORD to”

Apparently I have been a real fool all these years, paying my taxes. I thought it was a law that you had to pay them, I didn’t know I could decide wheither to pay them or not.
I guess they covered that in Dem school which i have never been too.
