Two Added To SNAP For Every Job Obama Created

From CNS News:

Two Americans Added to Food Stamp Rolls for Every Job Administration Says It Created

By Gregory Gwyn-Williams, Jr. | July 23, 2013

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said yesterday that the Obama administration has pulled the nation from the depths of the "Great Recession" with the creation of 7.2 million private sector jobs.

"And what is absolutely true is that we have come a long way since the depths of the Great Recession.  We’ve created over 7.2 million private sector jobs," Carney told reporters at a press briefing.

Here’s what Mr. Carney didn’t say:

Since February of 2009, the first full month of Obama’s presidency, 9.5 million Americans have dropped out of the labor force.  Nearly 90 million Americans are not working today!

That means that 1.3 Americans have dropped out of the labor force for every one job the administration claims to have created.

There are 15 million more Americans on food stamps today than when Obama assumed office.

At the end of January 2009, 32,204,859 Americans received aid from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. As of April 2013, there were 47,548,694 Americans on food stamps.

That means that more than two Americans have been added to the food stamp rolls for every one job the administration says it has created.

Under Obama, 1.6 million more Americans are collecting disability insurance. In February 2009, 9,334,369 Americans received disability payments.  Today, that number is 10,953,733.

All of which is exactly what is exactly what Obama wants: More people dependent on the government, more dependable Democrat voters. Despite his crocodile tears to the contrary.

House GOP considers food stamp work requirements

By MARY CLARE JALONICK | July 24, 2013

WASHINGTON (AP) — About 47 million Americans received food stamps last year, but only a relative few are required to work or look for a job as a condition of receiving the aid.

Now, House Republicans are considering whether the work requirement should be strengthened as they seek cuts to the $80 billion-a-year program, which has doubled in cost over the last five years. One in seven Americans used the federal food aid last year…

The concept of requiring work for some SNAP recipients is not new. The 1996 welfare law laid out food stamp work requirements for some able-bodied adults who don’t have dependents. However, the 2009 stimulus law and waivers later allowed by the Obama administration have suspended those requirements in most states…

The AP only mentions this detail, in passing, in the ninth paragraph of their article. (The ninth paragraph seems to be where they always put things they don’t want their casual readers to notice.)

But it’s a detail we pointed it out, back in September 2012. But it’s information that our news media guardians have studiously avoided reporting.

You have to read this to fully grasp how stupendously criminal and evil the US Congress and Washington business of government really is, and how our government is the capstone and foundation rolled together of our uniquely American ills.

See the above headline Two Added for Every Job? Read my linkage and then ask yourself, where does the money go that could be fixing infrastructure, providing real healthcare without slavery and eliminating the IRS etc.? Which is a meaningful economy.

  2. “We’ve created over 7.2 million private sector jobs…”

    What’s this WE sh*t?

I’ve always held the opinion that the Food Stamp program is just a round about way to give welfare to grocery stores and the food industry. Not necessarily the farmers. They have their own welfare and vote buying program.
