UN Drops Gadhafi’s Daughter As Envoy

From a dejected Associated Press:

UN drops Gadhafi’s daughter as goodwill envoy

Wed Feb 23, 2011

UNITED NATIONS – The U.N. Development Program has dropped Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi’s daughter as a goodwill ambassador.

U.N. spokesman Martin Nesirky said Wednesday that UNDP’s agreement with Aisha al-Gadhafi had been terminated following recent events in Libya that include a crackdown by Gadhafi on anti-government protestors.

What’s next? Will the UN prevent Libya from chairing their Human Rights Commission next year? (Which they chaired back in 2003.)

He said Aisha al-Gadhafi was appointed a goodwill ambassador for Libya on July 24, 2009 to focus on U.N. anti-poverty goals especially combatting [sic] HIV/AIDS and violence against women, both culturally sensitive topics.

Aisha al-Gadhafi is a law professor who reportedly was part of the defense team for the late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein after his downfall

She sounds like an ideal UN representative to us.

After all, isn’t it really just a social club for dictators like Gadhafi and Saddam and their kith and kin?

This is rich! Iran, Syria, and other tyrannical dictatorships who assasinate and imprison dissidents every day, sit on the f******g Security Council and even the Human Rights Commission. The U.N. is the gross hypocrites’ playground! Criminality, cynicism, and expedience are all that govern them.

Try this…move the UN to Elba (think Napoleans exile), take the money we’re paying into it and give it to the military, and tell the rest of them to take all their cockamamie ideas, fold them into a triangle and put them where the sun won’t damage them with ultraviolet radiation…oh, and kindly leave us the hell alone!!

I’m thinking Chad or the Congo would be better. Better yet, Afghanistan after we get our brave men and women the hell out of there. The UN and the Taliban, a match made in heaven if there ever was one.
