US And Iran Will Hold Second Round Of Talks

From the terrorist outlet Irna:

Iran, US to hold talks at ambassadorial level: FM

Tehran, July 18, IRNA

Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here Wednesday Iran and the US would hold the second round of talks at an ambassadorial level in the near future.

Mottaki made the remark on the sidelines of a cabinet session.

“The second round of talks will be held based on agreements already reached between the two sides. Iran strives to establish security and stability in Iraq,” he said.

He added, “Iran has always expressed readiness to help the Iraqi government and nation and will hold this round of talks to this end.”
The first round of Iran-US talks on Iraq was held on May 28 in Baghdad at ambassadorial level. Iran’s Ambassador to Iraq Hassan Kazemi-Qomi represented Iran and Ryan Crocker, the US envoy to Baghdad represented the United States.

“Currently a difficult situation is facing the US in Iraq.

Washington seeks a solution to ongoing problems in Baghdad,” the minister said.

Asked about five Iranian diplomats kidnapped in the Iraqi city of Erbil by the US forces in January, Mottaki said, “Both the Iranian and Iraqi governments are following up the case. We hope they will be released soon.”

On four Iranian diplomats abducted in Lebanon, he stated, “This case has been on agenda of Iran’s Foreign Ministry and the Presidential Office for long years. We still pursue it.”

He said, “The Zionist regime agents have been involved in kidnapping of the diplomats in Lebanon. We receive and examine different information about their conditions…

Why not?

Things have progressed so well since the last meeting.

Besides, it makes Nancy Pelosi happy when we talk to her friends.
