US Doctor Treated With Ebola Serum Has Fully Recovered

From a quietly seething Reuters:

U.S. hospital to discharge doctor treated with experimental Ebola drug

By Joe Bavier | August 21, 2014

ABIDJAN (Reuters) – An American doctor who contracted Ebola treating victims of the deadly virus in Liberia has recovered and will be discharged on Thursday by the U.S. hospital that treated him with an experimental drug, his charity said.

Kent Brantly was given ZMapp, a drug used on a handful of patients in the West African outbreak and produced by U.S.-based Mapp Biopharmaceutical.

Wow. Talk about adding insult to injury. Not only did this American doctor get the scarce experimental Ebola serum, it cured him.

(You just know the news media would have preferred a different outcome. If only in the name of social justice. Plus it would have been another black eye for ‘Big Pharma’ and evil tobacco.)

Atlanta, Georgia’s Emory University Hospital said it would hold a news conference to discuss Brantly’s case and that of a second American, Nancy Writebol, being treated there with ZMapp.

Mapp says its supplies of the drug have been exhausted.

They just want to drive the price up.

Brantly will leave Emory hospital after the news conference, a spokesperson for the charity Samaritan’s Purse said…

Three African doctors, also treated with ZMapp in Liberia, have shown remarkable signs of improvement, Liberia’s Information Minister Lewis Brown told Reuters on Tuesday."

What’s this? Three African doctors in Liberia have also been given ZMapp?! Just wait until Mr. Obama hears about that!

Speaking of social justice, I’m surprised Obama hasn’t declared the deaths of poor blacks in Africa to be unjust, therefore a few dozen rich white Americans are going to be purposely infected. You know, in the name of social justice.

And praises/spin from the MSM about how this advances the notion of obamacare in 3….2….1

  3. Recovery for a white guy? That’s racist ..
